I understand why it happens. This time in the RV after running the water for hours and filling snd emptying the gray water tank several times , buying water for even brushing our teeth..... we mentioned it to the staff. I am not sure what they did but by the time we returned it was cleared up. If they know, this is an ongoing problem they need to be proactive upfront flush the system do whatever they need to do to make it not happen for each site every time . We like to tent camp on the river, they have the glamping set ups that are great for the kids, my in-laws stayed in a rental cabin along the river and also rented a RV spot with full hook up. We spent our Central Texas vacation with all of our family on the lamp River and went fishing for rainbow trout and bass. We're gonna come back for the tubing adventure when it warms up a bit. The campground hosts are awesome people and made sure our stay was excellent.

This is "glamping" all right. It is basically a hotel room in a covered wagon. They had a queen-size bed, twin bunk beds, coffee, a mini fridge, paper towels, and a table with two chairs. I wasn't expecting it to be so big and spacious! There is so much room even with all that stuff inside. Everything was incredibly clean, including the bathroom. Though there isn't a bathroom IN the wagon, it was right next to the wagon so walking to it wasn't an issue at all. The showers weren't awesome but they were fine enough considering you're technically camping. Certainly better than having none! The check in/out process was a breeze and the place is super easy to find, as well as convenient to all the fun Fredericksburg has to offer. We are absolutely staying at these wagons again next time we visit and so should you! Way too much fun.

But you can't park an 8 ft trailer on your sight under cover and never park in the road without getting the wrath of "her" venomous anger And false accusations. The facilities are clean and new. Excellent WiFi. The family that runs this is attentive and nice. It's located a few miles off the main road into town. At most a 5 min drive to get to the heart of Fredericksburg. It's quiet even with a full house of campers. I highly recommend.

There's a small river that crosses through the camp site, but the tides were low and it didn't look like you could kayak or tube in it that weekend. It was nice to watch the ducks swim by though. I like that the campsite includes clean restrooms and showers. Each tent site provides you a bench, trash bin, bbq grill, and fire pit. Unfortunately, there was a burn ban in effect during our stay, so we couldn't light a wood fire. There was plenty of space between us and other campers, so it didn't feel cramped. One thing that could be improved is that the field is pretty rocky. We couldn't seem to find a spot for our tent that wouldn't drive a stone in our backs at night. The camp site offers kayak rentals, but it gets to be quite expensive. Visitors can also use the swimming pool located by the front office. If you're feeling hungry, want to grab a drink, or enjoy some entertainment, right by the entrance is a restaurant bar. They've got live music most nights.

They have the sites marked, but you just kind of have to make it worked, but that's never a problem. They continue to add on to the things they offer and make improvements. The splash pad area they have is awesome and a great addition. They also have a video game space, pool tables, shuffle board, etc. They also have a little restaurant area to order burgers and such. The food is just fine but nothing amazing. The people here are always nice and accommodating.
