The sites are nice, and most of the staff are, There is also no onsite mail delivery, even if you own a lot here, Wow. So if I bought a place here, I'd have to go to the post office in town about 10 miles away just to get my dingdang mail. That pretty much settles it for me. It's pretty nice but for the price I think they have a very highhanded attitude. Will stay at the much less expensive, many more trees Ladybird Johnson city park next time.

This is "glamping" all right. It is basically a hotel room in a covered wagon. They had a queen-size bed, twin bunk beds, coffee, a mini fridge, paper towels, and a table with two chairs. I wasn't expecting it to be so big and spacious! There is so much room even with all that stuff inside. Everything was incredibly clean, including the bathroom. Though there isn't a bathroom IN the wagon, it was right next to the wagon so walking to it wasn't an issue at all. The showers weren't awesome but they were fine enough considering you're technically camping. Certainly better than having none! The check in/out process was a breeze and the place is super easy to find, as well as convenient to all the fun Fredericksburg has to offer. We are absolutely staying at these wagons again next time we visit and so should you! Way too much fun.

But you can't park an 8 ft trailer on your sight under cover and never park in the road without getting the wrath of "her" venomous anger And false accusations. Every time someone would leave they would show up and sweep the patio, wipe the table, and rake the gravel. Then when someone was coming into a spot they would come over and double check to make sure everything was in proper order. It is close to all to the fun things to do in Fredericksburg. There is a large communal patio with a fire pit. On Friday nights while we were there, they had wine tastings and then on Christmas Eve they served hot chocolate around the fire pit. They have two dog parks that are well maintained. They seem to employe lots of work-campers and everyone is very friendly. One of the workers that was always out checking and cleaning the sites always had dog treats with him so our Airedale loved to see him. Some of the pull thru sites are a little tight and hard to get into, but other than that we love this park and would stay here again they next time we are in the area.

There's a small river that crosses through the camp site, but the tides were low and it didn't look like you could kayak or tube in it that weekend. It was nice to watch the ducks swim by though. I like that the campsite includes clean restrooms and showers. Each tent site provides you a bench, trash bin, bbq grill, and fire pit. Unfortunately, there was a burn ban in effect during our stay, so we couldn't light a wood fire. There was plenty of space between us and other campers, so it didn't feel cramped. One thing that could be improved is that the field is pretty rocky. We couldn't seem to find a spot for our tent that wouldn't drive a stone in our backs at night. The camp site offers kayak rentals, but it gets to be quite expensive. Visitors can also use the swimming pool located by the front office. If you're feeling hungry, want to grab a drink, or enjoy some entertainment, right by the entrance is a restaurant bar. They've got live music most nights.

The splash pad area they have is awesome and a great addition. They also have a video game space, pool tables, shuffle board, etc. They also have a little restaurant area to order burgers and such. The food is just fine but nothing amazing. The people here are always nice and accommodating.
