This is "glamping" all right. It is basically a hotel room in a covered wagon. They had a queen-size bed, twin bunk beds, coffee, a mini fridge, paper towels, and a table with two chairs. I wasn't expecting it to be so big and spacious! There is so much room even with all that stuff inside. Everything was incredibly clean, including the bathroom. Though there isn't a bathroom IN the wagon, it was right next to the wagon so walking to it wasn't an issue at all. The showers weren't awesome but they were fine enough considering you're technically camping. Certainly better than having none! The check in/out process was a breeze and the place is super easy to find, as well as convenient to all the fun Fredericksburg has to offer. We are absolutely staying at these wagons again next time we visit and so should you! Way too much fun.

As it turned out it was a problem with our rig and not the campground. We stayed 1 night with the generator running and left for home the next morning to get this problem resolved. Butterflies floating and gliding all around me with a good book was precisely what I needed. Later, I headed down one of the paths and came to an area with a big beautiful bird feeder set up in a shaded, tucked away area and a lady asked me if I would like to help fill the feeder. I was honored. She explained she was with Friends of Fredericksburg and they are often out there restocking the feeders for their feathery friends. She mentioned their website and I can't wait to research more about them and their events. I will have to venture back that way soon to check out more of the trails and scenery.

Second time staying. here. First time in an RV. It is a…read moregreat place, friendly staff and clean. The one thing that was a problem both times ..... the sulphur smell in the water. I understand why it happens. This time in the RV after running the water for hours and filling snd emptying the gray water tank several times , buying water for even brushing our teeth..... we mentioned it to the staff. I am not sure what they did but by the time we returned it was cleared up. If they know, this is an ongoing problem they need to be proactive upfront flush the system do whatever they need to do to make it not happen for each site every time . That is my only complaint and the only thing that kept him from getting five stars . 1/2026 .... their prices have nearly doubled .... nice place but no thank you .... not with stinky water
