This is "glamping" all right. It is basically a hotel room in a covered wagon. They had a queen-size bed, twin bunk beds, coffee, a mini fridge, paper towels, and a table with two chairs. I wasn't expecting it to be so big and spacious! There is so much room even with all that stuff inside. Everything was incredibly clean, including the bathroom. Though there isn't a bathroom IN the wagon, it was right next to the wagon so walking to it wasn't an issue at all. The showers weren't awesome but they were fine enough considering you're technically camping. Certainly better than having none! The check in/out process was a breeze and the place is super easy to find, as well as convenient to all the fun Fredericksburg has to offer. We are absolutely staying at these wagons again next time we visit and so should you! Way too much fun.

There's a small river that crosses through the camp site, but the tides were low and it didn't look like you could kayak or tube in it that weekend. It was nice to watch the ducks swim by though. I like that the campsite includes clean restrooms and showers. Each tent site provides you a bench, trash bin, bbq grill, and fire pit. Unfortunately, there was a burn ban in effect during our stay, so we couldn't light a wood fire. There was plenty of space between us and other campers, so it didn't feel cramped. One thing that could be improved is that the field is pretty rocky. We couldn't seem to find a spot for our tent that wouldn't drive a stone in our backs at night. The camp site offers kayak rentals, but it gets to be quite expensive. Visitors can also use the swimming pool located by the front office. If you're feeling hungry, want to grab a drink, or enjoy some entertainment, right by the entrance is a restaurant bar. They've got live music most nights.

Maybe there are sites offered deeper where you're not so close to roads and peoples homes. Overall, I still enjoyed my trip, but I would probably only return here if I had an RV Camper. Not the best spot for tent camping.

Extreme RV. Great job. Saw trailers from all over. A huge one with Alaska plates. As it gets closer to super summer, you are going to want some shade.

They had everything an RV resort needs - and more. In addition, the staff is excellent - they are all polite, personable and working to ensure everyone has a wonderful experience. This is about the best RV resort we've encountered so far. We will definitely be back - probably sooner rather than later - and will bring friends! There is not one thing to disappoint

They make it very easy to book over the phone--but don't be fooled. The real chaos starts when you try to confirm your reservation before check-in. Be prepared to jump through hoops: they require photos of your license plate, selfies, pictures of your rig, and your vehicle. It's excessive and frustrating. On top of that, we were stuck at the gate for two hours trying to get everything sorted out. Then come the surprise fees... * $30 cleaning fee (for an RV pad?!) * $19 damage insurance * $30 for the first day * $10/day "resort" fees None of this was clearly disclosed when booking over the phone. It feels like a classic bait-and-switch and a complete money grab. Bottom line: nice property, but the booking process, hidden fees, and customer service make it not worth the headache.
