My wife and I stayed here for the first time last weekend. We wanted to be in Johnson City for the car show. What a great campground! The accommodations were very nice and we really enjoyed the layout of the grounds. We had shade and a good amount of privacy. We will very likely be back. Marvelous campground!

I was so impressed by this campground! It has amazing views, beautiful landscaping, and very impressive amenities. We swam in the river, relaxed in the hot tub, listed to live music, played basketball, and enjoyed a campfire. What more could you ask for? Everything was so clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back. We stayed at site R20 and loved the view and the shade over the picnic table.

Everything about this place is just perfect. Huge RV spots with picnic tables and a fire ring for the win! I like the way everything is done with detail and the fact that they left native vegetation makes the views so nice. Could not ask for a nicer staff!

Super nice RV park with excellent hosts. All RV sites are spacious and are beautifully designed keeping nature first. The pool and amenities are wonderful. Can't wait to book again!

This campground is perfect for families! The staff if incredibly friendly and went above and beyond, especially making sure our kids enjoyed the hayride. There was a fun scavenger hunt, live music, s'mores, a great playground, and pickleball courts. The RV spaces are spacious, with picnic tables and fireplaces. We can't wait to come back!

Some of the tree roots were the biggest and most unique I've ever seen in my life. The whole place just had such a calm, magical feeling to it. One thing to note is that there are a LOT of stairs in many locations and most are very steep, so it's definitely not stroller-friendly if you are a family with young ones. If you're bringing little ones, just be mindful and watch your step going down the stairs toward the springs. The property itself is absolutely beautiful. You can either camp overnight or purchase a day pass. From what I remember, day passes were $10 per adult, kids under 3 were free, and camping was around $21 a night. They close the springs at 8:00 pm and for campers quiet time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. No loud generators allowed for campers. They had so many little hidden coves and tucked-away areas where you could set up camp, which made it feel really private and peaceful. I was also very impressed with how clean everything was. The bathrooms and showers were pristine, very sanitary, and conveniently located within walking distance of the entrance. One surprise I didn't expect was that they also have a separate swimming pool in addition to the springs, which ended up being great because the water at the springs was a little murky the day we went due to recent rain. Still gorgeous to look at though, especially with the waterfall. It honestly felt surreal, like you forgot you were still in Texas. They also have a beautiful butterfly garden with tons of unique plants and greenery that made the experience interesting. Overall, this place just gave off such a good feeling. Peaceful, relaxing, beautiful, and definitely a must-see if you enjoy nature. We'll absolutely be returning again.

The man-made pool has spring water; this is where I would recommend families with children or inexperienced swimmers go. It's lovely and more of a managed pool setting. We hiked down the stone steps to reach the natural springs which are so beautiful with a picturesque mini waterfall and a rope swing as well! However swimming here can be treacherous. I highly recommend water shoes as there are lots of rocks and moss in the springs. Water depth also varies greatly from one spot to another so it's important to be aware of that. Water temperature was comfortable and cool - felt great on a hot summer day. Wrapped up our visit in the garden, which is so beautifully maintained. Absolutely lovely and zen. The changing room and bathroom facilities are clean and easily accessible. We left feeling dry, happy, and peaceful after a wonderful day in nature.

There's a small river that crosses through the camp site, but the tides were low and it didn't look like you could kayak or tube in it that weekend. It was nice to watch the ducks swim by though. I like that the campsite includes clean restrooms and showers. Each tent site provides you a bench, trash bin, bbq grill, and fire pit. Unfortunately, there was a burn ban in effect during our stay, so we couldn't light a wood fire. There was plenty of space between us and other campers, so it didn't feel cramped. One thing that could be improved is that the field is pretty rocky. We couldn't seem to find a spot for our tent that wouldn't drive a stone in our backs at night. The camp site offers kayak rentals, but it gets to be quite expensive. Visitors can also use the swimming pool located by the front office. If you're feeling hungry, want to grab a drink, or enjoy some entertainment, right by the entrance is a restaurant bar. They've got live music most nights.

It's more of a camper site with a dry-ish field nearby. I feel that this site just had extra land so it offered some camping grounds but you're basically in people's backyards on both sides, and near a highway so lots of car noise. Maybe there are sites offered deeper where you're not so close to roads and peoples homes. Overall, I still enjoyed my trip, but I would probably only return here if I had an RV Camper. Not the best spot for tent camping.

We had a…read moregreat view of the Llano river and were close enough to the club house to occasionally get their free WIFi. The camp was very clean and our space was crushed granite, grass, and a concrete pad with a picnic table. It was a beautiful view. It was very peaceful and quiet. Our only issue with the place was that the grass was very high to walk to the river and there were stickers everywhere! They were so bad, our dogs could not walk in the grass and the bottoms of our shoes would be covered if we walked to the river. We tried to pull the stickers that were growing from our grass area by our camper, but we still pulled plenty from our dogs' paws. The other issue we had, which people may not mind, is the crushed granite. This hurts your feet when you walk barefoot and sticks in your shoes, so we had tiny rocks n the camper. Again, only a slight annoyance. Bring a broom. I recommend water shoes or sandals because entry into the river is rocky. The river was barely flowing the first day, and swimmable, but I heard from the locals that they slowed the flow the next day at the dam up river. Water level went down slightly. They are currently dredging this portion of the river, we heard, but we never saw any machinery working. We brought paddle boards and were able to paddle all the way down river to the dam and bridge. That was very fun! It was a long walk to haul them down to the river. I wish they would let you drive down to at least drop heavy items by the shore. We also fished from the shore. Definitely recommend bringing canoes, kayaks, or paddle boards. Overall, we enjoyed this hidden gem in Llano. It is very close to town, and the town does have plenty of shops to explore in the square. My family really enjoyed our weekend here! We will be back!
