Actually 3.5 stars. The food is fantastic and service is friendly, but slow even at 2 pm on a weekday. I think the wait time will become more manageable once the social media hype dies down, but yeah 20 mins to get a sandwich isn't great. That sandwich was really good though. I got the Bella Della Tella (mortadella, stracciatella cheese, pesto, pistachios, and honey), half focaccia, grilled. Lots of filling, everything was fresh, and the bread was toasted nicely. Would also recommend taking your food to go as there isn't much seating. A row of six bar seats by the window and a bench outside.

Came back a few weeks later and got the Full Focaccia customized panini - mozzarella cheese, spicy salami. The panini sandwich made a huge difference with the added crunch. The staff loaded the sandwich with veggies and it was so good for sharing ( $22.99). The line took a while to move because the sandwiches were customized but worth the wait It's a bit noisy in the cafe but otherwise pretty chill spot The large latte was also pretty good, it was with 3 shots of espresso

There are many Italian delis and restaurants in this area but Panino Mio is a great addition. Sister restaurant to La Grotta Del Formaggio on Commerical Drive, which serves similar sandwiches, deli and pantry items. I had a small panini Fresco. The prosciutto, pesto, and fresh mozzarella cheese goes together so well. The medium size or half focaccia would have been better for me, but they were out of most bread (I came around 1pm). Besides their preset paninis, you can choose from any of their custom ingredients and make your own. For $1 you can make it "pizzolo" - they'll add olive oil, spices, and Parmesan cheese on top before going into the panini press. Worth it IMO. Service was a little slow but very friendly. Seems like they're new and figuring things out still. There are a handful of seats near the window but most people, including myself, were taking their sandwich to go.

Saw a car accident outside, great vibes. Good spectating area for the carnage. Sandwiches are okay I guess.

great recommendation from a friend. the three of us stopped in for brunch after a moderate hike…read morenearby, which felt like a well deserved reward after working up an appetite. we arrived around 12:30 pm on a monday and were pleasantly surprised that there was no wait. we were seated right away and had plenty of time to settle in, catch up, and enjoy the slower pace of the afternoon. i was told this place used to be a tiny little shop, and it's nice to see how much they've grown. they've taken over the space next door and expanded the seating area, which makes a huge difference. you can actually relax, enjoy your meal, and have a proper conversation without feeling like you need to rush out the door so the next group can sit down. that extra breathing room really changes the experience. i was also happy to see they offer a matcha lavender latte with oat milk, which immediately caught my attention. unfortunately, we arrived too late for their early bird special, and i'm still a little disappointed about missing it. twelve dollars for a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with a hashbrown patty and coffee or tea is hard to beat, and honestly, it gives me a good reason to wake up earlier next time. i decided on the vegetarian benny, and it absolutely hit the spot. two perfectly soft poached eggs, fresh avocado, oven roasted tomatoes, chimichurri, arugula, hollandaise, and cornbread, with three hashbrown patties on the side. every component worked together beautifully. the dish was seasoned really well, full of fresh flavours, and beautifully presented. the bright colours from the avocado, tomatoes, and greens made it look as good as it tasted. the chimichurri added a wonderful freshness, the hollandaise was rich without being overwhelming, and the cornbread brought a subtle sweetness that balanced everything nicely. it was so good that i practically inhaled the entire plate. definitely a place i'd come back to. next time, though, i'm setting an alarm and making sure i arrive early enough to finally try that early bird special.

Parking is available on the side streets. The dining area is divided into 2 distinct sections. Looks like they took over the adjacent business space and knocked out a doorway. Staff are friendly and cheerful. No complaints. I wasn't sure what to try, so I had the kitchen sink. Might as well try a mix of everything. As per the menu, it was 2 eggs, sautéed red onions, red peppers, kale, green onions, sausage, bacon, cheese, hashbrowns. Reminded me of eating an omelette that fell apart. Decent quality, but honestly nothing really stuck out, especially for the price. This place isn't cheap. Maybe I'll try another dish at some point.

Ambiance and Decor I visited this café and sandwich shop on…read morea Friday afternoon during the lunch rush. It's a small, homey place with simple décor. The lighting isn't the best, as the staff mostly rely on the large entrance window for natural light. Service Quality The staff was kind and friendly. They are more than happy to help you choose a sandwich if it's your first time. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Menu Variety Their sandwich selection is excellent, and the bread is particularly noteworthy. They also offer a couple of iced tea options, which is a nice alternative to water. Food Presentation If you're dining in, your sandwich will be served in a plastic basket lined with wax paper. For takeout, it's wrapped in the same wax paper. Food Taste and Quality I ordered the Spicy Italian, which had just the right amount of heat. It was generously loaded with greens, and the multigrain bread was fresh, likely baked that morning. Portion Sizes The portions are substantial. I was only able to finish half of my sandwich for lunch. Price and Value The sandwich cost about $15, which is on the pricier side. It would have been nice to see it priced around $12. Overall Experience and Recommendation If you're in the area or heading to Horseshoe Bay to catch a ferry, definitely stop by S'wich for a sandwich. I will definitely be returning to try other options on the menu.

Can't believe we never tried it until recently…read more The interior of the restaurant looks modern. The menu items are very classic Italian. We ordered some sort of tomato calamari appetizer, cioppino, and meatball pasta. They all tasted really good. Very authentic and yummy. Service was quick as well. Mood lighting and soft music, and nice white table Napkin service. For the price and quality of food..you can't go wrong here. Tons of free parking around too. The sauces weren't thick but light and right. The pasta however was not homemadeC except for the ravioli. The carbonara was a good copycat of the Roman carbonara, but with a bit cream. Nice sorta open kitchen concept, where you see the Italian maestro at work. Looks like an Italian grandpa to be honest. My fav dish was the seafood one with fish and shrimps. It was loaded with generous pieces and finished perfectly with a touch of white wine and vodka sauce. The pesto one was also good. Not too overpowering, with a touch of crème fresh. The burrata was also so good. Freshly made and complimented by a nice drizzle of olive and balsamic. Another winner is the house bread which you can keep in asking for. Hot off the oven and comes with olive oil/balsamic dip. So hearty and good. Service was efficient, although our server seems to be wanting to rush us. Constantly hovering and asking and taking plates away. I get it's the holiday season, but there were so many tables available. I like the location as it's not that far from DT and parking is safe and plentiful. Ambiance is like an old mafia restuarant where Gino is in the back and the soprano is eating right at the table next to you. Yes, i would repeat and try the other entrees. Cheers! Happy eating!
