3tacos Al pastor! With salsas
Patty M.

Food was AMAZING! Came in to try their Panini. The service was great cashier was super friendly and knowledgeable. We decided to share the El Cubano Panini with pasta salad and a drink! The Ambiance of the place is very inviting, cafesque environment. It was our first time and we got 3 Al pastor tacos. Let me tell you legit Al pastor tacos fire!

What great flavor! Got the Chicken Avocado Panini and it came with pasta salad. Added a drink and the cost was under $12. The pasta salad was a good sized portion as well. The plate was decorated with two cold grapes and some paprika for color, it was a nice touch. Staff was professional and friendly.

Pasta salad, half of a Chicken Basil Pesto and half of a Big BBQ sandwich.

Got introduced to this place for lunch and the food was so good! Ordered the food to go and it was still fresh when I got back to the office. I split a chicken pesto and a big bbq sandwich, I also had some pasta salad and the dragonfruit pineapple drink. The staff was friendly, great recommendation on the chicken pesto sandwich, and the restaurant was well maintained. This isn't something that is rushed, but fresh. The food is definitely made to order so it's best to order ahead if you're in a rush. There was the normal chaos you would expect on a lunch break but the atmosphere was pleasant and not overwhelming. Definitely a great experience.

When visiting a friend who lives in this area, my other friend and I wanted to stop for a quick drink and a bite to tide us over until dinner later that day. We were amazed at the prices of the food and the quality! Only $7.95 for a London Broil which included the au jus! It even came with a side of pasta salad which was amazing! The place is quaint, but has a decent amount of seating that is comfortable for a quick bite to eat. As well as friendly staff that was attentive, and cleared our plates/tray. We did converse a little with a gentleman who mentioned being from Michigan and hoping to see us return. When in the area and looking for a solid sandwich or salad, this is the place to check out!

Pretty good, and their menu is pretty big. Lots to choose from and the desserts were yummy as well!

If I can give this hidden gem 5 stars. Then I wouldn't be fair to them, the deserve much more 10/10. Everytime I bring my family in we have such an amazing experience, from food to hospitality and the environment is great and welcoming. It's family owned business and everything is made with love. I will keep coming back here and will highly recommend this place if you want to have a great meal at a great place.

Outstanding everything. Reposting since they now have wings and burgers. I've had almost every sandwich on the menu, house chips are undefeated, wings are awesome (get extra sauce)

We saw all the desserts right when we walked in and let me tell you, sooooo good. We settled for deli sandwiches and some salads. All very good. I plan to try everything on the menu so this will one of many reviews. The value was quite reasonable and we had leftovers, so two meals from one sandwich! So much meat on it that you fill up fast. The best part about being in the deli is the atmosphere. There is a full grocery store of Italian foods, people eating at the dining area and ordering going on at the deli counter. It is a fun place to be. Highly recommend!

I stepped into this joint and transported back in time - Sunday after church, five years old again with my grandparents, standing at the counter of Giannella's in Paterson, NJ. With the exception of the cashier dude, the staff was...uh..."mezza morto," and definitely in need of some Italian or Italian-American inspiration. A little life. A little rhythm. A smile perhaps. I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich, add wet mozzarella, hot soppressata, roasted red peppers, oil, and balsamic.. The cutlets were too thick and the mozzarella, although fresh, was strangely tasteless. Apparently this sandwich was infused with gold, crypto, or something because it rang in at $24 with the add-ons. My person had the eggplant parm, which unfortunately was over-seasoned with only a slight trace of mozzarella. The marinara on the side was undefinable. We hit the bakery on the way out. The sfogliatella and cannoli were great, and so were the ladies behind the counter, warm, lively, and actually happy to be there. Look, I'm goin' back to Romanelli's. I'll even pay another $24 for a sandwich. There's a reason this place has been there for decades, and they deserve another shot.

First of all, ordered at the counter and chose our seat. Place had plentiful tables to choose from. Menu had a variety of sandwiches, vermicelli, and rice plates. So many choices, but my tummy stuck with the sandwich. When the nicely wrapped sandwiches came to our table, I we were pleasantly surprised. The sandwiches were more than generous and huge. I ordered #2 - grilled pork, pate, fried egg, and with all the trimmings. Absolutely delicious! Bread was nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Protein fillings were not skimpy at all- the grilled pork was not overly salty, the pate was a nice thin creamy flavorful layer, and the fried egg was perfect and fluffy to top. The produce- pickled veggies with decent balance of cilantro and thinly sliced jalapeños! Omg soooo good. All fresh and flavorful! Can you pls open another eatery in San Antonio?!

An employee quickly cleared the table without hesitation, wiping it down and giving us a pleasant greeting. He was also clearing plates through the small space. It looked like there was just one person working the counter and he was also helping to cook. Everything was cooked to order. We ordered a BBQ pork banh mi, spring rolls, and a pork eggroll noodle bowl (which is my newest obsession). The vegetables on the sandwich were fresh and flavorful; we had some inconsistent knife cuts on the pork resulting in "a big 'ole hunk of meat" on one side of the sandwich, but no big deal. A few issues for me, which may not be a deterrent to you: The rice noodles were overcooked to my taste and my noodle bowl was missing the crunch of bean sprouts! Those same mushy noodles were in the spring rolls. We both didn't care for the addition of bacon in the spring roll and the peanut sauce was the consistency of peanut butter, but we mixed it with siracha and made our own little spicy sauce. All in all a friendly, clean, and inviting place!

One thing that really stands out to me is that this deli/ grocery has been in business for a long time and the owners/employees are so welcoming and make you feel at home! They welcome you with genuine happiness. They have outdoor seating and they offer to go. They do have 2 spots for accessible parking and a few ramps. The aisles are pretty tight but if you ask the employers they are more than willing to help out! The entrance of the store is accessible and it's easy to move around.
