Card only location (no cash accepted) mostly staffed by local college students and most of the patronage also appears to be ODU students, often giving the feel of an off-campus study hall as people read and congregate. Interior is clean. Cups are kept behind the counter unlike many other local Panera locations. The staff can be hit or miss with their knowledge and enthusiasm. Food is standard Panera: overpriced sandwiches and faux-healthy sides. read more

3pm on a Sunday, the black coffee is like warm and tastes bad. The floor is very dirty to include stains that must have been here for a long time. Multiple tables extremely messy. It doesn't seem anyone has cleaned the seating area in a while. read more

Great door. Had the 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad. Tuna as always is great on sourdough... Salad was a Harvest Melody and was outstanding.... Glad I came here tonight!! read more

Nice people. Fast clean. I ordered hot Italiano very good. Convenient parking. Would go again.

Compared to many other Panera Breads I feel the staff is very friendly and the food has been consistent

The cinnamon toast crunch bagel with egg and cheese was delicious. My caramel hot latte was like I like it with extra caramel. My daughter said her drink was also good but sweet. The service with ladies were very nice. Tiffany, who was our cashier, was very pleasant. The ambience was clean and orderly, especially this time of day during mid breakfast. I have been going several times and will continue to go. read more

I had a little issue with my order at Panera today, I went to the counter to inquire about it and the manager (i believe), Josh, immediately offered a solution and respectfully and tactfully answered my question. Josh was very kind and offered amazing customer service. Thank you! read more

5 stars for soup bowls and soup bowl breads I love their broccoli soup so creamy and delicious

Although the food was good, the size is crazy like I ordered a cup and also a bread bowl and i think I could have got more out of one can of soup for $1.99. read more

Check. Your. Bag. Panera has a great receipt with check boxes that staff COULD use to make sure they don't forget anything. But they don't! Why? They seal your bag like they checked it, but it is almost a guarantee that 4 out of 5 times they short you something. I don't get it. Lack of management I guess. Food is ok and the staff are nice, just check your bag before you leave! read more

The manager, Joe, has exceptional customer service and always has a solutions for everything. Soda machine is always top notch and if anything needs cleaning, just ask. Cashiers are friendly and they are great at remembering you if you are a regular. Food has always been fresh. read more

I placed an online order for pickup at 10:40a this morning. When I arrived at 10:44, the order was not ready. The order did not end up being ready until 11:09, contrary to the email I received at 10:34 stating my order was ready for pick up. There was further delay when waiting because they made my drinks HOT when I ordered them ICED- clearly stated in the item description. I am VERY disappointed in this experience. This was supposed to be a very quick "pick up and run" and it turned into a nightmare. The manager was VERY nice and apologetic- about the only redeeming quality of this trip! read more

Have attempted to do online ordering and curbside pickup several times. The last two times I placed my order and paid online prior to pickup. Both times when I tried to pick my order I was told they had sold out of my selections. They apparently sold my bagels to someone else before I could pick them up!!!! Very poor business and customer service. read more

Nothing "rapid" about the location's rapid pick up during weekend breakfast hours. We frequent this location and are thoroughly disappointed in how the staff handled our order this morning. Order was supposed to be done at 9:36am and we didn't have our complete order until 9:49am. Items were forgotten. Our sandwich sat for at least 5 minutes before someone asked if I was waiting on an order. Nobody seemed to be checking on rapid pick up orders. Just very disorganized. read more

Very poor service this go round. When I went to place my online order through their easy app / they were out of my two favorite items - kitchen sink cookie and chips. When I went to get my order it was there but felt very light considering I ordered soup. Was starving and I knew they always double check it before they put it out for pickup so I kept going. Before I stepped off sidewalk I noticed my Pick Two with a drink was simply a sandwich only. I went back in and was told they were out of the soup I ordered but instead of holding my order to be sure I spoke to someone they stuck it on the shelf for pickup. I was offered a free replacement item and when I asked why wasn't my drink prepared, she said here's a cup. Uh no- you misunderstand the concept and purpose of Rapid Pickup which includes a cup for drinks. So I went to get my drink and they're out of ice - no sign just another disappointed customer who said he "wish(ed he'd) never come here"! read more

It's Panera. They sell sandwiches and stuff. It's the same at every Panera. It's good stuff, but expensive. You know what you're getting though. No surprises. This particular location is nice, friendly employees. The ladies making the food work very fast. read more

This place is truly something. The customer service is always on point, especially the cashiers. If u ever get Grace or Maggie as a cashie, u r in for treat. The food is always on point and their salads are my favorite. 10/10 recommend read more

The two star rating is only due to the poorly trained staff. Food is always delicious but I prefer not to wait for food as I hear their staff complaining about how much they hate working there. I tried to order a pound of the chicken salad which I purchase often. The girl started to laugh at me and said "ma'am this isn't a deli". The manager corrected her immediately- in a nice way- but she gave me the death stare anyway as she began telling her co-workers what had just happened. Are the employees there young? Yes, but nothing a little leadership and customer service training couldn't resolve. Oh, please stop slamming trays and bags on the food counter. If you hate your job that much please seek employment elsewhere. read more

No complaints. Been coming to this Panera Bread for the past 5 years and it's been consistent. Sometimes service can get backed up - what do you expect the place is physically mobbed for a reason and this doesn't include the online orders you can't see. if the place was a ghost town and there were no lines - I'd be worried. Everyone has bad experiences but stuff likes this happens in fastfood. Service is good, staff is friendly, and the food the majority of the time is hot and prompt. read more

Great food and service but they never got our order right. I love their food and drinks but they don't get our orders correct.

Panera in general can never get orders correct. My last 3 orders have been missing food. I was asked to sign the receipt, I assume because it was over 50 dollars, saying I received the order. When we got home and unpacked, I was missing bagels and a mac'n'cheese meal. My husband picked up food two nights ago and we paid for $12 of drinks but did not get any of them. After the initial screw up, which cost me $18, I was offered a $10 gift card as they can't refund online orders. I took it and was just perturbed. Now after another $12 mix up, I am done. The food is pricey and average. However it is definitely not worth the extra money you blow when they screw up. read more

I didn't realize it was possible to be this stupid..... the workers here have no idea what's going on at all.... it's disgusting nasty and the workers are constantly sick. The workers are completely clueless as to what's in their food and what's actually happening. Gluten free here is like trying to preform surgery on yourself. It's horrible. Never coming back to this place read more

The staff was very nice! The wait was not very long at all! Our food came out delicious and fast! Keep doing what you're doing Panera bread! read more

While Panera gives off a healthy vibe I I truly feel like it should get an D. I always thought this would be the perfect place for every lifestyle. This is not true. I am sensitive to gluten and thought for sure Panera was the place to go. So I walked up and asked about gluten free foods and they pulled out a beat up old binder. I had to go through the whole binder which were probably 25+ pages long and go line by line to figure out what was gluten-free. Honestly not much of choices. Another family member has a milk allergy also went through the binder not much doesn't have milk in it either. Actually, one time I went I was told that there was absolutely nothing gluten-free. The person was very uninformed and very uneducated. Not a good choice for a chain restaurant.I do not think Panera is all it's wrapped up to be. On a plus note, I do like their tea choices! read more

I stopped here for lunch today only because I knew they had free wi fi. The wi fi worked well, if just a bit slow, but the food was good. I had a you pick two combo including a tomato and mozzarella panini and broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was fantastic, the panini was alright. This is a great alternative to fast food especially if you are eating alone. Tons of people come here to eat in the company of a lap top. read more

This Panera is always busy.. I mean it's Westminster right. Anyway the store is clean and every employee is usually happy. I finally ordered the Chicken Soba Noodle Bowl today for lunch. This Panera has some of the kindest and most professional folks you'll meet. This morning I walked in to find a customer acting in a completely unacceptable manner and putting his finger in the chest of a manager complaining about something unimportant with his coffee. Despite this, the manager was extremely kind and composed, and managed to de-escalate the belligerent man. Shout out to Mike for maintaining an unwavering professionalism, even when dealing with customers who forget about the humanity of others. read more

Disapointing is the word I would use for my experience. Store was slow so no reason for incorrectly done to go order. Order was missing chip, bread, pickles, plastic ware and nspkins. It never occurred to me to inventory my order, it's Panera. However after dodging the downpour and arriving home this is what we discovered. I understand stuff happens so I called the store. Sadly the mgr response was that if I let them know the next time I'm in they'll "do something to make it right." Ok, well what if you're not there or I'm in other Panera? "Just have them call me." So I'm suppose to carry your number with me, stop a busy line so another Panera can call you, on the hope that you will be there and remember. So not practical. Would have been better just to say Oh well. 2 stars are because the food we got was Panera quality. Service, especially when the place was so slow was just lousy and the Manager isn't at all what I would have expected from Panera. read more

My number one option for fresh, healthy comfort food. Great place to feed the family.

Customer service absolutely ridiculous, and they can't even get simple online orders correct. Instead of listening to my complaint and addressing the issue all the guy Kept saying was "it's ok sir" I'll just refund you.... read more

This place is a mixed bag. The food being most important, I can say that it is mostly as good as you'd expect from a Panera Bread. I wanted to get breakfast there one day, but arrived five minutes after they stop serving breakfast at 10:30. I was told that they could not make an egg sandwich for me after 10:30. Bit early for lunch. The young woman taking my order helpfully suggested one of the souffles. It was good and that was a good recovery, but it wasn't what I wanted. I had issues on multiple visits. I tried to get a cup of tea. On several occasions, the "hot water" was too cold to make tea. I spoke to one manager who told me that I could microwave it. (Gee, thanks.) On the next visit, I had the same problem, but a somewhat more responsive manager. How lame do you have to be to not be able to make tea? It used to be that they would get the hot water for you, but (to cut costs) it is now self-serve. They used to have slices of lemon, but don't anymore. Finding myself unhappy after these visits, I sent a complaint via the Panera Bread website. Panera Bread was responsive, but told me that this location was a franchise. They told me that they'd pass my concerns along and I'd hear from the owner or manager. I never did. I would give the food three or even four stars and the management one or two stars. The quality is not as good as it used to be. read more

This is the WORST run Panera ever.. why on earth they decide to mop floor behind counter with all bleach while diners are still there is beyond me. Everyone was coughing including children. Disgusting. Then they never get our orders right - they pay zero attention to those with allergies. Shameful. We will never go back. I've given them enough opportunities. read more

I've gone to Panera in Westminster a few times. Although the food is always fine, I've been struck repeatedly by the rudeness of the staff. This morning I went to the counter to order a cup of coffee and asked the cashier, clearly with a smile and eye contact, how she was doing. Without blinking, she blew past my courteousness and snapped, "what can I get you?". I wish I could say this was the first time. Busy restaurant or not, is this how the teens in Carroll County act? read more

After being here numerous times, I have mixed opinions. Like their other locations, the food is delicious! The selection of drinks, soups, and sandwiches were enough to satisfy my appetite. However, the teenage staff is obviously bored as they rush my orders through, and you have to deal with pretentious customers who believe this is the Gucci equivalent to McDonald's. Also, the WiFi is limited and extremely slow. Overall, I keep going back for the food! read more

I would pass on this again. I stopped for lunch and was excited about a lobster roll. I ordered and stood back. After several minutes, the countergirl took the time out of her busy schedule of staring at her nails to tell me that my sandwich would be coming up around the corner. I walked around the corner and again stood for several minutes two feet from the sandwich girl. I noticed a bag on the counter and asked if it were a lobster roll. She said it was. They should really feed them more there so that they had enough energy to speak. I took my sandwich to go or I would have returned it. While it was indeed lobster, it was a horrible glob of previously frozen, watery, tasteless slop. I guess their bagels must be good but I will never go back. It was apparent no one should ever go the first time. read more

Nice atmosphere, a great place for students to go to do some studying, or for friends to meet up. I met up with two old friends and we were there for hours but were not given any trouble for taking up a table that long. I have never had a meal there that was less than delicious, and their specialty iced tea is fantastic! Their food is great but is a bit pricey for what you get, in my opinion. The staff always seems to know their jobs well. read more

Rapid pick up was not rapid. My friend ordered her food at 10:00am because she wanted to skip the line. All of our other friends ordered in line and got their food before her, this is ridiculous. What even is the point of this system then? Also, I hope the manager will take the time to have a conversation with an employee by the name of Angie at some point. She personally insulted my friend when she walked up and asked for her food. Which was sitting in the back on a counter done. Saying "you could be patient" and continuously mumbles. I work in food service, this is the complete opposite of customer service. The order took 35 minutes, all that needed to be done was slice a bagel. And that wasn't even fully sliced. read more

I love the Cobb salad & strawberry smoothie. I have had the paninis, they are kinda greasy. I have had the bread bowl & soup. Not worth it. Tiny hole in the bowl. The broccoli & cheddar soup is really good. Panera has my favorite salad. Cobb w/ avacado. It is huge. I have to be really hungry or I can't finish it. My daughters love the brownies and bagels. My husband really likes the mac & cheese. Their portions of this are really small. They don't fill the cup. My husband always has to order a few things because their portions for some things are really small. Not salads. They are good sized portions. I love the strawberry smoothie. If I go to Panera, chances are I am getting a smoothie. Also, I got the Panera card & I get free items every so often. read more
