This location is trash! Haven't been in a long time and won't be back again. First and foremost, the employees talked and carried on private conversations entirely too much. So much so that they weren't able to address the customers and or greet customers who walk in. Then, one of the employees has a massive hickey on his next. Last they were watching/listening to trash tv on their phone with cursing and inappropriate language. All Which is not only gross, but extremely unprofessional. It so sad, because the last time I came the service was outstanding. It's obvious with cheap labor, comes poor customer service. Too bad, because the sandwiches are outstanding! read more

There was NOBODY ELSE in the store..... It was the slowest service I've ever had a sub shop. The four guys working talked and goofed off the whole time. Then... the subs were made wrong! I ordered a sub with EXTRA Mayo and received none, making the sub inedible. The bread was sopping wet and full of slimed together turkey. So I wasted my money and time. The second sub was supposed to come "with everything" and it only had onions, are you kidding me?! It was the driest cheesesteak ever consumed. I ordered through the yelp app which is assisted by Grubhub. Was a little weary about doing it this way since one of my subs needed to be a certain way with zero exceptions. I was pleased to find out that the boys making the subs did read my instructions from the online order and made the sub perfectly. The rest of the subs were also made perfectly. The boys were really nice and the place looked clean. The subs are good and different from most sub shops. I love the theme and what they stand for at Firehouse. Wish I had pressed the "double meat" button cause these subs feel light. I can also appreciate a light sub but I really want to sink my teeth into a bunch of meat. I've never experienced such poor customer service. After I ordered online they called to let me know they were out of salad and I'd have to get it refunded when I arrived (that's all they said), so ok, disappointing but understandable. I got in and picked up the three subs and had to wait in line for my refund, and then wait on the cashier to key in the salad with all the EXACT customizations I ordered (though none were price-altering) before ringing up the refund. Ok it was a nuisance but I should be patient. I got home and here's what I found: 2x turkey bacon ranch, both with no bacon and several missing veggies 1 roast beef slathered in mayo (I remember keying in no mayo but they dispute that) and with missing veggies. But also, the lettuce was nasty, and as all three subs had lettuce, I didn't feel safe eating any of them. Here is a picture of a sub they gave me with a nasty piece of lettuce that is black and slimey. My entire order was completely wrong and inedible. Manager wanted me to drive back for a refund. I didn't want to because I had to figure out a different dinner for my family so he wrote my name down to come another day for a refund. Next day I came and it was a big stink. They had to call the owner for refund authorization. Somehow they expected I should have brought the subs back, because otherwise how could they know I didn't eat them? Ultimately the owner refused to refund the roast beef because they said the mayo was my mistake. The missing veggies they said they were out of, didn't tell me about on the phone but should have (manager admitted), and refused to be responsible for. They acted like it was a great thing for them to refund me two of the three subs and I should be happy. The manager kept insisting that the lettuce was perfectly normal, he would eat it, and they put in a new bag every hour. (I guess they don't realize it gets slimey like that when it's been in the bag too long past its date.) I didn't want to eat the food not only because it was wrong and nasty to me, but also, and especially, because of food safety. When my son found the nasty lettuce I stopped futilely trying to scrape off my mayo and we decided to be safe and throw it all away. No ice for drinks, hot water not working in womens rest room, out of pastrami so could made NY steamer with just corned beef, meat in sandwich was very skimpy-sure not worth price paid, person in charge had an attitude. So I don't understand this organization. We ordered via online and the order was a bit messed up. They didn't add certain toppings to certain sandwiches. When we brought the sandwiches in, they weren't kind about our worries and spoke aggressively to myself and my mother. Whether it was through our error or theirs, we got smalls when we meant to get mediums. When we went back in to get additional smalls to make up for it, they said they didn't make smalls. How is this possible when they made smalls for us not 5 minutes earlier? I get that Covid makes stuff difficult, but this place was not busy nor did we order during a busy time of day. Shockingly bad customer service for a company that seems so committed to honor and service. I recently ordered three subs online and a few minutes later, the store called to tell me that they would be closing at exactly ten til nine and I would have to be there to pick up my subs. I was a little taken aback at the unfriendly demeanor of the person on the phone threatening that I had better be on time. A couple of minutes later the store called again to say they did not have ingredients for two of the subs I ordered. They said they would make another sub that was the same price, but I explained that I did not want their suggested sub and instead asked for a sub that I did want. They refused to make the substitution, which left me no alternative but to ask that the order be canceled. I waited several days for my refund of $39.86 to appear on my credit card, but it did not. I called the store to ask about my refund and was told I needed to call back when a manager was there. I called again another day and spoke to Suzanne, a manager, and she said I had to come in person for the refund and needed to show my online order email. I went to the store today with the email and spoke to Suzanne, who told me that they did not see a record of the order and would not give me a refund. I showed them the email online order confirmation but they would not refund my money. I asked them what the next step to resolve this was and was told they would need to talk to the owner and would take my name and number. I requested the name and number of the owner and they refused to tell me. They then walked away from me and would no longer respond. Based on the way they treated me in the store, I have no reason to believe they will even tell the store owner about my refund request. I paid $40, got nothing in return, and was met with hostility when I attempted to get my money back. read more

We used to come here all the time and it's normally great but this time was horrible, from walking in and having the workers be rude and obnoxious to then get every single order of hoagie. Wrong! We were the only people there and the only thing he focused on clearly was policing that my mask wouldn't fall slightly down while being 6 feet away and the only one in the store. The Westminster, Maryland store does not want you as a customer if you have a medical condition !!!!!! I was wearing a mask, but because I was not wearing it up over my nose ... BECAUSE OF HAVING ASTHMA. The kid that confronted me was only worried about me pulling my mask up over my nose, even after learning that I have Asthma. First hint people ... be a person, not a sheep, and just follow along, not a robot, and just do whatever everyone else is doing. In fact, the way I was treated was actually against the law .... he is a cutout from a State of Maryland website; WHAT ARE REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE DIFFICULTY WEARING FACIAL COVERINGS? Customers with disabilities or medical conditions who are unable to wear a face-covering must be provided with an opportunity to receive the same goods and services as customers without disabilities or medical conditions. Businesses should engage the customer in an interactive process to determine possible alternative methods of service that would allow the business to keep its employees and other customers safe, while still providing service/goods to the customer. This may include but is not limited to, curbside delivery, allowing pick up of goods by a representative, telephone appointments, ordering by telephone with delivery, or other innovative solutions. None of this was offered to me and in fact, the kid made it very clear, if I do not pull my mask up over my nose I could not be served " it is store policy " Unfortunately, store policy is not law, just like wearing masks are not law. I have been tested and found negative and was wearing a mask. I am not going to totally disregard everything and not wear a mask, and make everyone feel "uncomfortable". That being said, because of all of this there have been way too many self-appointed enforcers step up with a sense of power. DO NOT GO HERE! I've contacted the health department due to my experience on 9/1/18. I purchased three meals for my family and I did carry-out. I got the salad and on the 4th bite I felt something sharp stab me in the mouth. I pulled it out and it was about 2 cm long and .25 of a cm thick and razor sharp. By all appearances it was bone. I called the store and they told me to drive the 20 minutes back to the store to show them the piece and get a refund. So, I did and upon arrival I was informed that I was only being refunded for my salad and not the other meals. Of course my family would not eat their meals after seeing what happened to me. They were grossed out, totally understandable. I spent $28 on food that we could not eat. I also wanted an explanation as to what the foreign object was and they tried to tell me a hard piece of romaine. ZERO chance something that sharp that could draw blood is romaine. Well run store. The staff here is always friendly and working. You don't see them lounging around or playing in the back. All about business and they always seem to be working together well. The subs themselves are decent. For a chain, they're better than most. They're better than Subway or Quizno's, but some of their subs are better than others. In general, all their cold cut meat subs are good. Not so much on things like chicken and tuna salad. After going here a number of times, you must be able to answer these riddles five, in order to escape with your sub alive : Type of sub, size (medium or large), type of bread (white or wheat), fully involved/what you want on it, is it a combo. You will also be asked your name and if you want to round up your purchase to the nearest dollar to donate. That's a lot of questions to get a sub but I look at it as a challenge to spit it all out so they don't have to ask. The real reason I love the place, as I said the subs are above average, is the hot sauce bar they have. They have probably about 20-30 hot sauces laid out for sampling. I usually grab at least 3-4 to dip my cheetos or fritos in and put on my sandwich. I think Firehouse knows that the way to my heart (and stomach) is hot sauce. And as everyone knows, hot sauce makes everything better. read more

After he ordered, the cook or someone not at register came over and told him to pick sandwiches that took less time to make. He said "pardon me" and the guy said in a nasty tone "each one of those takes an extra 5 minutes per sandwich, they take too long." Even though Firehouse accepted the order and shared the time the order would be ready, when I went in to pick up the order they said they don't get alerts, had to go on the back room to look it up on a computer. THEN they finally started making making my order, but of course I had to wait behind 5+ orders. This all took 35 minutes more than it should of. We enjoy dining at the Westminster Firehouse Subs. They know what we order every time we come in. The food is good and the service quick. This store seems much more relaxed than other Firehouse Subs We have been to. Free wifi would be nice but you can usually pick it up from the Verizon store next door. Not much for vegetarians. Best Sub Shop I've been to in years! Had the Brisket/Cheddar and it was fabulous. We had a party of 18 and the services was fast and good. Everyone was raving. I will go out of my way for this place. It was a Sunday around noon and it was pretty busy. Neat and tables were all wiped off and fine. We did have to restock the drink counter as it was missing lids and low on straws, so rather than bother them, we just went in the cabinet below and filled them ourselves :) read more
