Second time we have been in there in the ten years that they have been open and I'm not sure there will be a third. The food that we had is ok and the donuts are really good (any donut is better than dunkin) but the customer service is terrible. It's a super small shop that when you walk in the owner and helper don't acknowledge you and let you stand there for minutes until they are ready to help you, as if they are doing you a favor. They haven't learned that the most important thing part of running a service business is to put your customers first. Based on my experience, the only reason they are still in business is lack of competition as Westminster is such a food desert. read more

I believe I was also here today when "John S." was there. It was around noon, prime-time lunch rush. This is a family owned business with only 2-3 people working at a time. "John S." walked in, waited less than 2 minutes and when they asked if he was ready, he rudely responded "I've been ready". I almost thought I was going to have to leave to keep from saying something. I really hate when people treat members in the service field so rudely. Nonetheless, Heather and Jake put on a smile and helped "John S." And his mother pick out their half dozen donuts and then take their food order. Service here rocks! Step up and order. Not full service when busy. Coffee yes or no. Not types. Always happy to brew more coffee for you which is nice. Bagel was basic. Cream cheese available, but no chive, salmon or veggie. Just cream cheese. Bagel came with Orange wedges. Coffee was large. All seats taken, but most seemed to be family and friends. Stopped for a late lunch. The sandwiches were great. They were not particularly crowded given the time of day. I had a turkey bacon panini that was very tasty. My wife had a hot dog which was not a favorite. The staff was friendly and the food was prepared quickly. read more

A quaint café in Westminster, it has a homey feeling the moment you walk in the door. The décor is what I would call "farmhouse chic" and has some up-cycled tables and antiques in the café. There are winged pigs placed about the café, which enhances the farmhouse feel. They are a proponent of eating local, which is awesome. I had The Breakfast Club sandwich with some iced tea, and it was terrific and a great value for the price (just under $10.00 for the sandwich and 20oz iced tea). The eggs and bacon were cooked to perfection, and the fresh tomatoes and cheese went well with the rest of the ingredients. Their menu has many options, and if they are prepared like their club, all would be delicious. I was greeted when I entered and made to feel welcome in the café. As I only had one item on the menu, I will have to come back to try their other items when I am in the area again. A must try! read more

We come to this area once a year for the flea market and I've always wanted to explore this charming little town. The main street is dotted with small, local business's and cafes so when it came time to choose someplace to eat lunch Yelp came to my rescue. Molli's had a high star rating so we decided to check them out. The decor inside was pulling at my heartstrings as it's very similar to my decorating style at home. Although it's very tiny - only four small tables - the owners were warm and welcoming. We enjoyed chatting with them as much as we enjoyed our meals. The experience felt like we were visiting old friends. The menu was small but thoughtful. While there is a menu listing on a large chalkboard that's not all they offer so do take a peak at the paper menu. I honestly don't remember the panini that the husband ordered but remember mine well. It was a unique mixture of chicken, pineapple, and bacon, in a slightly sweet but mildly spicy habanero sauce. Normally I'm not a fan of the bread used on paninis but this variety was just right. Toasty and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The portion size was generous and a side of chips was included. The only suggestion I could make it to add a little more shredded pineapple as I was yearning for more sweet to balance the heat. Hubby liked his panini as well, and for him to point that out says alot as he is a man of few words. Impressed with our lunch I was eager to try one of their desserts, however they were short on variety the day of our visit. When the female owner offered to make a waffle and top it with fruit and whipped cream I caved. Hubby decided on just a waffle with syrup. I can honestly say without hesitation that this was the BEST DARN WAFFLE we've ever had!!! Hubby agreed. In fact it was soooo good we took a bag home for the road! There's just something different about it that seriously takes it to next level good. The slightly sweet crunchy coating on the outside is like an explosion in your mouth. I seriously don't know how we'll eat waffles from anywhere else again. We were so impressed that we both agreed when our bagged stock runs out that we'll be making the hour and half drive there for breakfast, and probably on the regular. DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING THEIR WAFFLES! Whether it be in place of bread, as breakfast, or as a dessert, I repeat DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT ONE! You're welcome. As quaint as this small venue seems it would be a conflation to address it as a good value and small town good food. What it isn't is a value added service. The meal I had : waffles with a side of bacon and a bagel with butter. The waffles had chunks of what seemed to be crushed sugar cubes mixed throughout. The bacon was so thin and greasy it was a task to eat. The bagel was coated on only half of the bagel with something imitating butter. Overall, the failure of attention to the quality of the "food" served should be a red flag waving unless the average patron thinks McDonald's serves real food. I would encourage whomever owns this business to take a much more serious look at the lack of quality inherent in the products offered and perhaps include more healthy options such as: Using Veganesse instead of mayonnaise. Thick sliced bacon as versus that paper thin cheap stuff. Invest in local farmers vegetables, meats and cheeses rather than whatever the least expensive option may be. Let your prices reflect this upgrade in quality and I believe your customers will show their appreciation too. read more

In the not too distant past but seems so far away I was able to go in person to visit this establishment. Mollie's was brought to my attention by a coworker who saw them featured on the news for their specialty sandwiches, hot dogs and meals. So we both decided to check them out. I honestly didn't even know this place existed and passed it more than a dozen times. It's very small and intimate seating being that if dining in (which it doesn't seem like people do) it can only hold 4 diners at a time with only 2 tables. Most of the food is made to order and seems to be mainly take out. This is a family run business which their teamwork and playfulness with one another shows. Each person is working their station and pitching in to provide effective customer service. I've been to this place twice (Pre Covid/beginning Covid) and the service has been polite, friendly, and efficient on both occasions. The menu is straight to the point and describes the speciality options as well as build your own options. Sadly all of my meals didn't make the photo shoot because they were too delicious for me to mess around taking flicks but some did. First off every thing is a meal! Sandwich comes with chips and pickles and it will fill you up definitely if you can eat the whole thing. Panini had a nice crunch along with the pickles which wasn't soggy. The hotdogs are huge and you can tell the food is farm fresh from the taste alone as one review I read mentioned it wasn't. The deserts are absolutely delicious. I've had all of their brownies I started with the Oreo brownie and then tried the Blonde. Both were moist, soft and chewy. The denseness of it would definitely be complimented with a nice glass of soy, almond, cashew, or cows milk. The prices are fair for the portions and type of food. Mollie's is the definition of a local business as you don't feel like a customer until you get the bill lol. I hope they're able to push through this pandemic. This sandwich shop is quite possibly one of my favorite places to eat in downtown Westminster. It is such an asset to Main Street. My kids ask to come frequently for their blt's and grilled cheeses. I am so hooked on the Italian panini that I can't even bring myself to try anything else. It has this amazing garlic pepper seasoning cooked into the bread that takes it to another level. I have never been in and not seen it packed. To bypass that, I always order ahead and our food is hot and waiting. Today, my kids said that they can't wait for Molli's to have an even bigger space. The staff is so kind and very welcoming to their customers. They have so many regulars and it's so nice to watch the interactions.
