This Panera Bread is my favorite place. The food is always fresh and delicious. The pastries are the best especially the Chocolate Chips !! But today I went in and it wasn't busy. I normally order online and come in to pick it up. I actually sat down to eat and was really shocked at the soda/water dispenser. It was very very dirty. I took pics to show. This shows that very little is done on a daily basis to clean the dispensers. So now I'm wondering about the areas for food preparation. I've been coming here on and off for years and the quality of food continues to stay the same. I've tried their Mexican street corn chowder, hearty fireside chili, broccoli and cheddar soup and the chipotle chicken avocado melt sandwich. The soups, chili and sandwich were fresh and delicious. I also like their bakery, I recommend their pumpkin muffin (seasonal), chocolate croissant and chocolate chipper cookie. The service is quick and the atmosphere is relaxed. Though I enjoy the food from Panera, the price for the portion size is expensive, so this will be an occasional treat for me. read more

Ok food, sometimes less than ok but I do like their coffee and baked goods so I think 3 stars is the best any Panera can receive. With kiosk ordering I haven't had employee interaction for a while and it all works just fine. Good place to have a coffee/ bagel or sweet while knocking out some work or catching up on emails. Recommend relooking salad prices or menu all together, with Salad and Go, and all the cropped green locations around every corner here Panera isn't ranking high on the salad list but they do have decent flatbreads and soups that you can't pick up just anywhere. read more

Taste great, but the price keeps me away more often than not. 1 whole BLT chicken avocado sandwich w/ extra bacon, and 1 large drink w/out chips. Cost is $20.97, w/ tax. The Denton Hwy Watauga location is one of the best run restaurants of any in Texas. It's mostly due to being well managed. Jenn is the embodiment of what Panera Bread wants in every location. Her management style is friendly, personable and professional. The only reason she and her restaurant get 4 stars is because she's not a Dallas Cowboy fan. It's that Cowboy star that's missing. I have gone here a few times, my order is always correct and the food is always good, warm, and fresh. But the past 3 times I have tried to do a carry out order it has not been ready on time, the most recent time being 15 minutes past the ready time when i got my food. Just me and wife today for lunch. We both got the two item combos, hers with a tuna sandwich and a caeser salad, me with creamy tomato soup and a veggie mediterranean sandwich. Popped in to get dinner to go. The gal behind the counter was very nice and funny. I order potato soup and a half serving of salad. It comes with a half piece of a baguette. Soup was super yummy on a cold day and paired with the bread it was great. The Southwest Chili lime ranch salad with chicken was just weird. Salad dressing was spicy. It came with tortilla chips and corn. I ate it but I didnt enjoy it. Service for to go was fast and price was reasonable for $12 with no drink. read more

We went to the Panera Bread on Heritage Trace tonight a little before 7:pm. Pretty disappointed in the food. I ordered the pick two and my 1st choice was the Autumn Squash soup. It was out. The sourdough bread for the sandwich was also out. Third choice French onion soup came and it was barely warm and the small sprinkling of cheese didn't come near melting, no croutons. Really Panera!? This is not the freshness that is advertised for your restaurant. This is all of the brown lettuce that was in my half serving salad. This is gross and unacceptable. There would have been more brown lettuce in the pile but then I would have no salad. While in this location there were also flies all over the baked items. Wow has the quality of the product gone down at this location. I ordered a bagel and almond croissant to go. The place was totally empty but it took them 10 minutes to toast my bagel. So I've came to this location twice so far 1st visit: 8pm, a late dinner. Didn't know you can now place your order on a tablet which is pretty cool especially if you like to take your time. Placed my order, a couple people in front of me, sat down and hanged out. Notice the staff weren't very serious about their work. The man who handed me my order checked my bag to make sure everything was in there, i also checked the bag, and my baguette wasn't in the bed. I told the staff and they told me they were out... Positives: good service, clean, their tea is my favorite. Negatives: "sold out" of half their menu by 2pm and the other half by 7. No quinoa ever since the pandemic hit. Breads are constantly out. Bakery items are hit or miss. And sometimes their ordering app isn't updated so they tell you after you've ordered your food. TBH I don't like to eat half the things on their menu unless I can get all of it. This was happening before the pandemic, but it has gotten worse since. Can't hardly ever eat there if I can't get the food I want. Update: I would like to note that I FULLY blame corporate for this. The staff are always kind and trying their best.
