I'm writing a review on the 'truffle' mushroom soup. -_- That is a sourness I didn't like in my mouth. The flavors are bold, but adding tomatoes or such into it did not balance any remnants of what truffle flavor should be. Canned at the best. The mushrooms were not fresh. Canned mushrooms. I come here for breakfast a lot when it was Milie's and then load and behold the next day it becomes Panera Bread! I don't know when it was converted but it sure is amazing how fast a restaurant can be turned over. The gals at the cashier appear eager and quick to serve -- quite perky too. I haven't even placed two feet or my body into the door and one of the gals yelled from the cashier that she's ready to help me when I'm ready to order. Made me a little nervous bc I didn't even know what I wanted. I ordered and noted 2-3 times during the order (bc it was noisy) that I wanted a baguette for the veggie sandwich but it came out with two pieces of white bread. This appears to be a common occurrence with other stores too. The gal who brought the food over to the table quickly brought it back in without any hassles and returned with an additional baguette veggie sandwich and a to-go box for the other sandwich, in case I wanted to take it to go, which was mindful of her to do to not waste food. Food quality is consistent with all the other Paneras I patron. The restaurant is full and busy around lunch hour. Lots of school kids hanging out here so it's a bit louder. There are plenty of tables to set a laptop and studying materials so it's a decent place to study with their free wifi. Glad to see that there is a Panera in town now. First off, I LOVE Panera Bread. I work in Walnut so I literally had a countdown at my desk for opening day. As I expected, it was insanely packed. It took a while to get my to-go order, but there was a misunderstanding regarding what soups they had that day, so it was no biggie and I didn't mind at all. Today I went back and ordered to-go again since I only get a 30min. lunch break. They were busy again (totally fine and expected) but I was pleased when I saw that there was only one lady besides myself waiting for a to-go order. After about 5 minutes I saw a girl make my salad (I had them put the dressing on it rather than on the side so I knew she was making mine) and she called out to the front line staff that my to-go salad was ready. And there it sat. It sat there for another 7 minutes before a manager finally noticed it, put it in the bag, and handed it to me. The staff here is extremely friendly and the food is consistent with every Panera I have ever been to, but I think I will wait until they get all the kinks worked out in terms of staffing/food line before I come back to this specific location. This Panera is pretty similar to the other ones scattered around LA. I've come here a couple of times, mostly to meet up with friends or people whom I wanted to chat with at a slightly more formal venue than many of the little cafes in the area. The food is okay, but not great. It's been a while since I last dined here, but I always just get one of the sandwiches (usually turkey) and a side salad. Nothing special about the sandwiches -- bread is usually dry, turkey is... well, just sliced turkey. I must say that the only reason I come here is for the environment. It's a really good place to have an interview or meet up with someone more professional (I.e. coworker or professor). It's laid-back, but definitely classier than your loud, crowded cafes filled with college/high school students. Like I said, definitely a good spot for a meeting or interview, but the food is really not worth making an extra stop for. read more

I like to hang out here for my breakfast on the weekend. I like the environment here. It make me feel like home (may be better). The foods were ok but a little pricey for sandwiches. Conveniently located near our place, I go to this Panera a lot. It has a warm ambience with a fire place in the middle and a nice patio area. You'll spot a lot of students studying here because of Mt sac being around the corner. Panera is always a good option if you want to have a reasonably healthy lunch and the way it's set up allows for doing some work or reading while having lunch. read more

Came here to eat. Ran out of asiago turkey sandwich noted on the menu. Ordered a flat bread sandwich and a regular sandwich. First they brought me someone else's order (that's okay miscommunication happens) then they come over and said that now they're out of flat bread. I'm frustrated as it is and I asked for another type of bread I liked. They ran out of that too. I finally asked " what type of bread do you have left" the worker said he would check and walked off. Next comes another worker and the first thing she asked was if I wanted a refund.... ..I never said I wanted a refund ..I asked what breads they have left. I've been to Panera before, so this is me simply experiencing the Panera Dream at a different location...haha. I was in a slightly not-so-good mood due to a couple different reasons, so I guess regardless of the food quality, I would have been happy coming here with a friend. However, I'll keep this review as unbiased as possible. I came here for a study session with my friend. It was pretty crowded when we walked in. When it was my turn to order, the guy at the counter yawned. Poor him. I ordered the You pick two combo with a Napa Almond Chicken salad sandwich and the summer corn chowder. We sat down at a table and the food came in no time. Yay for speedy service! However, my soup was not as hot as I hoped it would be, and I saw a slight "skin" forming on the top. It made me wonder whether it had been sitting for a while already. Nonetheless, I dug in. It was still okay. The sandwich was pretty good. The bread was as soft as always, and the filling inside had a nice savory-sweetness to it. My friend ordered their Smoked Turkey breast on country, and I have to say it looked a tad bit better than mine. Maybe I'll try that next time. Even though the food was nothing spectacular, I loved the ambience of this Panera Bread location. It was very spacious, much bigger than the one located near Puente Hills Mall. I came in with 4 smaller siblings and had a hard time getting our orders together but the cashier was so Supportive and Positive! He helped us with our order and delivered our food. This Panera has been a regular for me since I go to cpp just down the road. Today, sadly was the first time I had a cringe worthy experience. I was supposed to receive 5$ in change and the cashier handed me a receipt, I waited as she got my scone, and she came back. I asked for my change, she looked me right in the eye and claims she gave it to me. Honestly I did not receive it and was rather affronted and mortified that she loudly said that, and I very quietly said I really did not receive any change. Came here with my brother and mom for something to eat and my mom ordered a breakfast like sandwich with egg in it. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte. Sometimes I come study here with my friends and I love it! There are outlets where we can plug our laptops and the food is great. When I come here, the order I always get is a small bacon mac and cheese. It's the perfect size and helps me stay full while studying at the same time and personally I think the perfect place to study is by the window so you can get some natural light while studying.
