Food is okay. But they always seem to be out of things. No avocado. No pickled onions. No Chicken tortilla bowl. The place is always filthy. Trash all over the tables and floor. Dish bins overflowing and it wasn't even that busy. Yet, the employees were fighting over who was going to go home first in front of customers. How does management let people leave early when nothing was done? Very unprofessional. I love their food, but it seems like every time we go, they're out of something. We order soup and guess what they're out of baguettes. We order bacon avocado sandwiches and guess what they're out of avocado. It's become a common practice. It's happen at least 3 times in the last 3 months that we've been there. We're taking a break from Panera for a while, maybe they need new management that cares for customers needs. Meh..I ordered the pick 2, which came out to 10 bucks, (see picture) not worth the deal at all. I ordered the turkey bacon blt with avocado, and cheddar cheese broccoli soup. The sandwich tasted good, but I could of made the same at my house. The soup was nice and hot, but lacking broccoli pieces, it was like having cheese soup. Every time we go to Panera they are constantly training someone new. I'm not impressed with the service and if you have that much turn over apparently the management needs to be replaced. Walked in at 10:20 and still haven't got to the front of the line and they changed the menu. We left because we wanted breakfast. Numerous times my drink is wrong and has to be remade. It has been awhile since I have eaten at Panera. My mother and I went to the Panera in Visalia because we wanted to eat 'healthier.' I ordered the Pick 2- BLT sandwich with chicken cesar salad, chips, and a drink. I also ordered the lemon drop cookie. My mother ordered a salad and chicken noodle soup. My food was amazing. I ate it all! My lemon drop cookie... O M G, there are no words to describe its deliciousness. It was soft and it had lemon chips! HORRIBLE service by NANCY. She was completely rude and made us feel rushed during our visit to a Panera. Not only was she impatient and seemingly distracted, she made it known that she was blatantly annoyed at helping our group. There were about 7 of us and she only needed to take 2 of our orders. the food is always really good, but service is not that great. we order from here a lot, and really like to take advantage of the curbside pickup. today, we had two separate orders as we had forgotten one of our soups. we showed up at around 1:45 to pick up the food. the girl working brought out our first order, and i mentioned we had the one cup of soup as well. she went back in and got it, brought it up to us and said "just so you know, we opened the doors so you can go in and get it off the shelf next time" with an attitude. at first i thought i was the only one who heard her tone of voice and wrote it off as she's rushing and just letting us know they're open for walkins again, but as we were pulling away my boyfriend made a comment about how she seemed really irritated with us after coming back with the soup. he is not one to complain about service at ALL, so that proved to me that i wasn't just hearing things and this girl really did come at us with some attitude. lol girl. i'm sorry, but we ordered curbside pickup, where the order is brought out to the vehicle, for a reason. not to be rudely told to just "go get it off the shelf yourself". i work in service myself, i understand what it's like racing around trying to make everyone happy, especially during this pandemic. i know it gets hard to stay peppy throughout your whole shift, but dude. we are being paid to do exactly that. give service with a smile. read more

I spent $68 and waited an hour. When food arrived, every single soup and/or Mac n cheese was less than a third full. When I called, I was transferred to 3 people, the guy I talked to tried to say something about the size of the cups, but they were all the same size and there shouldn't have been a difference? I shouldn't be able to count the 24 noodles in this bowl right now. Their customer service is poor at best, I won't order food from this place again. Great lunch. We have two in SB now (one brand new) and my boyfriend thinks the menu is confusing so we never go. We went today, however, on a break from his Visalia conference and he loved his Thai chicken salad and French onion soup. The bread--simple, plain sourdough--is out of this world with some butter. Most of the sandwiches, soups and salads are healthy choice meals, compatible with a healthy diet or weight loss regiment. (Obviously, if you're watching weight, you want to forego the desserts and bread.) This one is far more efficient than the ones I've been to before and I think it's a great everyday lunch or dinner place. I ordered the shrimp soba noodle salad (new) and the cup of broccoli cheddar (not one of the lower fat or calorie items but worth the splurge). He ordered the large salad with cup of soup and I had the YP2 (smaller salad and cup): it came to 26 for two because mine was I think premium salad with fresh, flavorful shrimp. This Panera restaurant is just horrible. I was already on the edge unsure if I liked Panera or not. But after my order today It validated how I felt. For one I think the food is over priced for pre frozen, processed food. You can also see in my pictures that the panini we got had little to no meat, or fillings in the sandwich it was just bread. They also took forever getting the online order ready in which It should have been ready at the time it said online. Customer service was poor too. read more

This Panera is pretty much a standard Panera, but it has one of the nicest patios I've seen on any fast casual restaurant. Pros: + The salads and sandwiches are all very well made. The ingredients are tasty and generally healthy, although you can indulge if you want to. The quality seems better than the average Panera as well. + The staff are friendly and accommodating. + The patio is absolutely gorgeous. It's both full sun and partial shade, with a ton of seating. With Visalia's regular weather, it's a nice place to work or relax. + To go orders come with silverware! Cons: - Sometimes they drop the ball on custom orders. - I wish the rewards card was clearer about how you earn rewards... Overall, this is one of the better Paneras. It's not clear why the ingredients are better at one location versus another, but this location has very nice menu item execution. If you're looking for a bite, and a place to sit a spell, this is definitely a good choice in the area. read more

There is nothing rapid about rapid pick-up as my food is usually sitting behind the counter waiting for it to be checked. And are people's orders really checked?Today's order, like several times before, is not correct. I come on the same days at about the same time of the day because my favorite soup is offered; however, today I was given the incorrect soup, incorrect size, and incorrect side! I only ordered three items mind you! The worker insisted I keep the wrong items as she could not return them. Okay, but then she piles my bag to the brim and I had to ask for a larger bag to hold the incorrect items! I wanted the manager to be made aware and the girl did not get the manager; instead, she said she would tell the manager. I highly doubt it. Needless to say, I am done visiting this location. Used to frequent here quite a bit until they changed their salads. Not this particular location's fault, but when I ordered my usual salad recently, I was very upset. I made specific customization requests to my online order and did not get what I had ordered, I called and spoke with a manager regarding my concerns (in addition to professionally voicing my overall opinion on the new salad I was not happy with) I was promised a voucher to make up for the troubles. It has been two weeks and I still have yet to receive anything. Haven't been back since and won't be for quite awhile if at all. This is very upsetting to me as I have experienced some great service here in the past. I ordered the Italian combo on the French roll with mayo only - no special sauce, no veggies. The sandwich was served with everything on it so I asked that it be remade. The second time around I received it with peppercini and onion, which I took off myself. Mess up my sandwich once, shame on you, mess it up twice, shame on me. It was $7.39 for the sandwich and the bread was pretty disappointing. I ordered a regular soda with that for $1.75, bringing the lunch to just under $10. I'd rather take my $10 to Genova Deli (which is closer to home in the Bay Area). Or a different Panera! At least the Panera Breads up there serve my sandwich as ordered. Great place to go to use wi-fi while grabbing a cup of refillable tea or coffee. I've tried a few of their blended drinks, but I think they're too sweet. If I order food it's usually of their panini/soup or salad combo. The frontega chicken is pretty tasty. The place is spacious, inside and out, and I've never had trouble finding a spot to sit down at. The ones I used to go to in L.A. were a lot smaller and crowded. We have now been to Panera Bakery about 6 times, around Lunch Time. They are always very busy. We've had their Soups, Sandwiches and Salads. We Really Enjoy their Chicken and Wild Rice Soup. My Friend always orders the Bread Bowl with Clam Chowder Soup. The Salads are Fresh and Plentiful. I enjoy half a Sandwich and Soup. The Cuban Sandwich is quite good. As for the Bakery, there is a nice assortment of Pastries. Tasty Quiche. When eating here during the busy Lunch Hour, you never have to wait very long for your food. This was absolutely the best service I've ever had! Honestly nothing compares. When checking out we were informed that they only had bread bowls left and no baguettes which was no big deal. Then when we were about to get our food they informed us they only had one bread bowl left so the manager helped make up for it and it was great! It was overall an amazing experience! I've grown to like this place more over time. They are super packed during lunchtime, but they manage to keep the food quality high and the wait times short. It's clean, comfortable, and has plenty of places to plug in a computer and get some work done on their reliably fast, free wifi. I like Panera. Some are managed better than others. The one in Palm Desert is horrible. I typically fill out the customer service survey that they request on the receipt. If you want a call back, someone from headquarters will contact you. Never once happened to me after I fill out the questionnaire trying to give valuable feedback. Anyway, this one is a good one. The visit to this restaurant was horrible at best. First Of all, I just wanted an order of Mac n Cheese. It was for my Son who was just discharged from the hospital. So I reluctantly agreed to drive through the crazy holiday shopping traffic and buy him his Mac n Cheese to perk him up. I was greeted by pushy staff that seemed to get upset that I didn't want to buy one of their cookies or anything else for that matter. I simply wanted the Mac n Cheese. While waiting I went to use the restroom that wasn't clean and not all of the lights worked in it. So after all of that wait and less than pleasant staff, I picked up my order of Mac n Cheese that wasn't as hot (temperature wise) I thought it would be.
