Make sure when you order to go that you check your order before leaving. I ordered a bowl of chicken noodle to go and when I got home there was only half of a small cup of soup. It was literally three bites. I took it back and complained. I was sick so I didn't want to go back and complain but I wanted my money's worth. At first I thought this place was good, but it now seems boring, noisy, and a bit chaotic. Granted, the breads are good, but I think it's better to buy a good loaf, take it home and make one's own sandwich. The soups, too, have been disappointing lately, tasting as though they come from a can, plus it turns out to be a rather pricey lunch. After ordering online which is very convenient, I get there and they are out of bread. Bread bowls, baguettes, etc. this all happened at 6 PM. Do you think for a place that's calling themselves Panera bread, emphasis on the bread part, they would actually help. They should probably be called Panera sometimes bread. Went in about 5:30pm to purchase or order 2 dozen sourdough rolls for the next day. The cashier paused, then walked away to get someone else, possibly the manager. That person told us they couldn't possibly make that many in such short notice. I asked how many they would have in the morning without ordering. She said "4". Panera only makes 4 rolls a day? I love this place and always take my baby to eat there on my day off. I also went there to get out of the house when I am under a lot of stress. Today the register young lady toasted all my 6 bagels burned. I gave back to her letting her know I cannot fee my baby with burned food. She got mad tour me and acted very rude. Pretty good sandwiches. The paninis and Mac and cheese are really good. My only complaint is the inefficient way of standing in line. It's not really paneras fault, but they could put a line on the ground or something. The first person waiting in line is usually standing way back by the door causing a ridiculous backup of people. Today June 18, 2021 at 5:27pm at the Visalia California location I went inside to order dinner to take out. They were not busy inside I only saw 4 people ordering after myself. I did see the dining area had some guest seated and eating. I ordered three full size salads with no drinks. Sara waited on me and checkout was excellent. I waited for my order and drove home. As my husband took our our salads from the bags he asked me what kind of salad dressing did I want to use. My response was...what do you mean the salads come with dressing. He said not these salads. I checked myself and there was no dressing with any of the salads. I then called the Panera Bread number and Armando answered the phone, I asked if you need to ask for dressing now, after all three salads were $33.87 and no dressing! Armando said yes normally they do. I'm then questioning not all of them do? I told Armando that I was not happy because the salads I ordered had no dressing! I told him I was going to get back in my car and drive down to get the dressing. As I arrived at Panera there was a young man outside giving an order to someone that had ordered for pickup outside. It was Armando, he came up to my window and had a bag and handed it to me. I said I'm here to get salad dressing and how did you know it was me. He stated there was only one big salad order and he figured it was mine? On my receipt it states... Accuracy Matters! Your order should be correct every time. If it's not, we'll fix it right away and give you a free treat for your trouble. Just let an associate know. I was not even offered any type of treat and Armando knew my order was not accurate. Needless to say I only didn't get any salad dressing I wasn't offered any type of treat and I had to drive back to get the salad dressing. I typically find OK service here, however there is one older lady who is newer to the cash register who is very very VERY unpleasant. While thankfully, she did not help me today, she was literally yelling at the woman next to me simply trying to order for her daughter. The service here has rapidly gotten worse. It is a chain so don't expect extraordinary things to happen like matchmaking between regulars or getting life advice from a busboy. This isn't the Peach Pit. This place needs to find a new manager or better management.. I went in with my kids to get lunch. We ordered our food and as soon as we got done ordering some guy comes out and says that we have to leave cause my kids don't have masks on. Mind you my kids are 1,2,6,and 9, my two little ones shouldn't be wearing a mask in the first place, kids under 2 it's not recommended! My two older ones have asthma, and for health reasons they can't wear them! Mind you it's a hippo violation and discrimination to not help a customer based on health conditions! Luckily I wasn't in the mood to argue with the man, but I will never be going back to this place of business again! So sad they discriminate and make a scene and escorted me and my kids out as fast as he could! He tried to be nice about it but clearly Panera needs to train their staff and management better! I love the food at Panera, but this location comes up wanting. I travel frequently, so I have many other Panera locations to compare to our local location (Visalia). Our office usually orders online for rapid pick up. More often than not, the orders are wrong. We have to ask whoever is picking up the order for our group to please go through order and double check that everything is in there & correct. We shouldn't have to do that. Recently, the cups for the drinks were missing and the sandwich that we requested additional items on (& we were charged for) was missing those items. We politely asked that this be corrected, and the manager (I assume manager, a Hispanic man in maybe his 30's) was very indignant and didn't even apologize other than to just grab the sandwich, add the items that should have been on it and toss it and the cups at me). I/we also find it interesting that the Panera App asks if we would like to tip. For what? I place the order online, and I pick up the order sitting on a shelf when I get there. This is such a small thing, but it just rubs me the wrong way. read more

Panera has been my go to on busy days. I love ordering online and then only having to run in and pick it up less than 10 minutes later. However over the past few weeks there has been a definite change. I do not know what has caused it but the sandwiches are skimpier and the salads are more lettuce and less of everything else. I will continue being for a few more weeks and then may have to find another go to. read more

Always enjoy eating here! With a big family, it's always great to find a place where there's something everyone really enjoys. Sandwiches are great, my favorite is the Napa Almond Chicken Salad. Their Mac & Cheese is AMAZING! The perfect comfort food! My youngest daughter absolutely LOVES their Broccoli Cheddar Soup & Strawberry Poppyseed Salad. I'd hate to write this review about what is one of my favorite places to eat. After today though, Im not sure when I'll be back. I put an online order at about 11:40 for a You Pick 2 meal. I asked for it to be read by 12:20.My lunch is at 12:30, and since I only get a 30 minute lunch, I like to make sure it is ready when I pick it up. Now, every single time I have been there before, everything has been perfect. Probably would've given this a 5 star. Today though was just like nothing I experienced before. When I get there to the rapid pick up section there was nothing. There was a few other people there too waiting for their orders. Well apparently their system was down, the one that receives online orders. I decided to wait, not make a big deal about. Well, they made everyone who was waiting their orders except for me. Then this lady comes up to me and asks me for my name to look it up in the system, I told her my name about 5 times and spelled it. Then asks to see my confirmation email. Luckily I had my phone with me and I pull up my email where it is confirming my order. So she grabs my phone takes it to the back kitchen, takes it to the cooks off to the side, takes it to what seemed to be like a manager. She was walking around with my phone for a good 5-10 minutes. It was very awkward and uncomfortable. Then the manager reads off my order from my phone to the workers. Hands me my phone back. And he is looking up stuff on the computer. Finally after 30 minutes of being here (yes my whole lunch) he gives me a bag with my order (instead of half sandwich they did give me a whole sandwich, which i don't even want at this point) and he tells me, I found your order you put your first name twice instead of Name and Last Name. Trying to blame it on me, so I said "And thats why my order didn't go through? Or when you looked up my first name wouldn't it still have shown up?" and he's like well yeah it would have. Hit or miss. Simple as that. This location is extremely busy all the time from open to close. Sometimes the food is made and assembled to perfection, other times it's very sloppy. Normally this place is great. However, the staff doesn't enforce basic hospitality standards with its clientele. Today not one staff member said anything to some who brought their pet dog into the place (Not a service dog). The dog smelled and ruined my meal. This place was amazing, until they took the Asian chicken salad off the menu... I don't know why they did that. They replaced it with a citrus salad that I do not enjoy. I walked on into my Panera Bread today only to discover they had taken the Asian Chicken Salad off the menu. I don't appreciate when things just magically disappear off the menu. I'm not a very big salad person, but when I started getting this salad from Panera Bread I thought I had found a magical gem. Then it disappears. I used to really like this place, but they've totally botched the last few pick up orders in a row and I'm done going here now. They let you order and pay for items on the site/app then you get there and your orders not ready, you wait around, then you ask and its "we dint have any of that". Today was the worst one yet. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, a cheese souffle, and 2 bakery items. Arrived 5 min after order was supposed to be ready- nothing. Waited for somebody to be available to ask, guy looked at receipt and just then started getting my order ready. They didn't have one item I had ordered and paid for, of course. Then when I got home with the items they did have I find out that he hadn't even put the breakfast sandwich in my bag. My options are basically drive all the way back across town on mothers day to get a sandwich I paid for and was told was in my bag or eat the money and go somewhere where they'll actually give me what I ordered.
