Simply Mediterranean Restaurant - Lunch Bowl (WITH FREE DRINK) - Salad Near Me - Visalia, California

Service was good, food was average. It filled me up and had good sauces, however the pita bread felt like a rubber tortilla and there wasn't enough meat on the bowls they serve. Hardly any vegetables as it was supposed to come with. I would say the taste wasn't bad, but for price quantity and the pita, it was Okay. read more

Simply Mediterranean Restaurant - Some kind of combo plate Beef chicken and gyro - Salad Near Me - Visalia, California

I didn't expect a Mediterranean fast-food restaurant to have such high-quality food, but this place really impressed me! I ordered the Beef Shawarma Lunch Plate, and I was immediately impressed by the presentation. Everything looked fresh, colorful, and appetizing. The beef was fresh, tender, and perfectly cooked, while the rice was soft and flavorful. The creamy sauce added another layer of flavor and complemented the beef beautifully. The fattoush salad was fresh, and its dressing tied the entire meal together nicely. Since it's a fast-food restaurant, you order at the counter, receive a receipt, and they bring the food to your table. The restaurant itself was spacious and clean, with plenty of parking outside. The staff was also friendly and helpful. Overall, this is a great spot for a quality Mediterranean lunch without the wait of a traditional sit-down restaurant. Definitely a place I'd come back to! read more

Simply Mediterranean Restaurant - Beef Shawarma Lunch - Salad Near Me - Visalia, California

Simply Mediterranean is a clean, spacious restaurant with ocean blue decor and comfortable seating. The staff was friendly and informative and my food was prepared fresh, yet quickly. I got the lamb mixed grill lunch plate with medium lamb kebabs, chicken and beef kebabs with rice pilaf and fattoush salad. ($27/$30 with tip). You can see the chef prepare your food in the open kitchen. The food is vibrant, flavorful, and came out hot. The lamb is tender and didn't have a gamey taste. The chicken was citrusy and juicy. The beef kebab was cooked to perfection as well. The baklava was sweet, crisp, flaky and fresh. I'll try the gyro and falafel next time! read more

I've eaten here twice in the last month and both times were yummy. The first time was dine in. It was a nice atmosphere. Spacious area with several tables. You order at the counter then the staff delivers your meal. My meal was the fattoush salad then a side of pita bread and hummus. The salad was on point with enough tang in the dressing and crunchy bits a fried pita. The side of pita bread was very fresh and the hummus nice and creamy. I ordered the cherry pistachio dessert which was a small square of something like a more dense gelatin. It was good. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Another person in my party ordered the lamb kebab and had it cooked medium well and they loved it. Generous portions. My second meal was the same salad and an item called a sambosa , a puff pastry filled with cooked potatoes and spices, really good and a sauce to dip it in, at least that is what I did. A green garlic flavored sauce. I'd go again. read more

I've tried many Mediterranean spots in & out of California.. I'm not a big fan of this one. They took quite a while. I felt they lacked seasoning.. The lady in front was nice though. I got the chicken shawarma + Rice .. Again.. I was expecting more flavor.. My husband said his gyro was good. I didn't finish my food, he did. Ambiance was cool, lots of dessert option and bathroom was clean! So that was a plus I would like to try something else next time and maybe a dessert! read more

Service was great, the girl has been working there for over 4 years. She was very helpful. Food was good, portions are on the smaller side, but I feel it may be authentic. They do have unsweetened tea behind the counter for an option for drinks. Next, I will try the beef kabob wrap. read more

1. No condiments, napkins, or even salt and pepper on the table. They were kept out of sight. 2. No mayonnaise or decent dressing for the hamburger, dry as hell and tasteless. 3. My husband had beef shawarma, it was overcooked and tough. The peppers and onions were almost nonexistent! 4. My food was served in a cardboard box, and my husband's Shawarma was just wrapped in a piece of tinfoil and placed on the bare table. Good service, good service, good food, good price. Come here often with family and order in as well. We always enjoy this place.

Friendly staff . Asked a few questions... when the cashier or front worker didn't know she went and asked , which was much appreciated. The food was fresh and delicious . We ordered the chicken kabobs dinner ; that came with rice and salad and the beef shawarma with a side of shawarma fries. Meats for both were tender. Fries hit the spot; loaded with all the toppings that want to make your mouth sing a tune. The ambiance was very casual. Loved they had Turkish delights - balava was yummy and a great treat to end the meal. read more

I randomly found this restaurant on Doordash one day and tried it on a whim. Since then I've eaten here 5x at least, the portions are good and really tasty. My favorite is the gyro plate! I had a chance to speak to Wally today and told him how much I enjoyed the food here, he offered me an extra baklava for my boyfriend too. Great staff, and super tasty food with generous portions! :) Would recommend to anyone in Visalia! read more

Staff were friendly. I called in a to-go order. The food was prepared quickly, I picked it up in about 10 minutes. It was okay, but not great. I passed through for work so it was fine for a quick meal after a long day, but disappointing. My falafel wrap was small, the flavor was ok. I also ordered the mezze platter. They loaded it up with tzatziki but the portions of the other dips were not equal. It made me wonder if they were trying to get rid of the tzatziki? Also, they only gave me 3 pitas, which were dry, almost stale. I had so much leftover dip and nothing to eat it with. So I had to throw the extra away :( I probably won't come back next time I'm in town. It just didn't taste very fresh if I'm honest. And portions were way off. read more

Simply Mediterranean never misses. Their fattoush salad is so fresh, crunchy, and perfectly tangy like the kind of salad you start thinking about days later. And the pickled cucumbers inside the chicken shawarma gyro?? Game-changer. The mix of tender, juicy chicken with that bright, briny crunch is literally what keeps me coming back every single time. Simply Mediterranean Restaurant - Plate - Salad Near Me - Visalia, California

Good menu options- variety is available. Quickly prepared, super garlic salad, fresh and a large amount - I'll be back

I love Mediterranean food, leaning well toward Greek, as I grew up with Greek chefs teaching my mother Greek cooking a next to an extremely large Greek community. This place was mostly of a Turkish slant, but that okay. Close. Counter ordering went easily with the young lady explaining their food and methods completely , happily and promptly. My wife ordered chicken kabob plate and I opted for lamb kabob . The plates contained salad with dressing on the side and rice as well as the off kabob meats. We were told that the lunch plates contained 1/2 lb. of meat and dinner plates contained 1 lb of meat. Our lunch plates seemed to contain about 5-6 ounces. Close enough that I didn't complain. There was also a sauce that helped flavor and moisten the rice. The restaurant was nice - neat, clean and comfortable. Arabic music was playing throughout our meal. Nice. Follow up service was continuous. All in all, it was a good experience, but I think I'll pass on any return trip to continue to seek some real Greek food. read more

So my wife won a free lunch bowl and we figured why not stop on by and try the food! She ordered a lunch bowl with pilaf chicken shawarma meat and garlic aoli while I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and dolmas. Also a side of tzatziki and pita bread. First off my shawarma is just like I remember having overseas. All the flavors came rushing back to all my senses. Fabulous just the best thing since the first time I ever had one. Dolmas were on point can't say anymore than that. The bowl was delicious had all kinds of flavors in it. Bread and tzatziki can't ever mess those up. The service was excellent as we were explained what was in every item we ordered. Everything ambiance wise reminded me of a traditional Mediterranean small restaurant. 10/10 would recommend for the future. Will be a repeat customer to try even more on the menu!!! read more

The staff is great! Smile & welcoming - unfortunately the food is mediocre - drinks were flat - I have been to two Mediterranean restaurants In Hanford that go way above & beyond in the quality of food and service, The rice was very much 5 minute rice out of the box - no taste and salad you had to mix? Never have I had to do this on my own. Last option for a Mediterranean spot to go to in my opinion. Won't be returning. read more
