I really love Panera Bread. They have a big menu to choose from and their food is always fresh and tasty. It is a great place to eat if you're watching calories because the nutritional information is available right on the ordering board and they have lots of healthy choices. Their baked goods are not so healthy, but they are delicious, especially if you heat them up in the microwave. Their breakfasts are also quite good, especially if you like bagels. On the bad side, this particular Panera Bread is jam packed a lot of the time. In fact, the line is often out the door (it usually moves quickly though) and it can be hard to find somewhere to sit. When they started building their new building a few years ago, I was expecting it to be a lot bigger than their old one to help with this problem, but that is not the case. The new building is better than the old one in a few ways, but there really isn't much more room than there used to be, unless you count the outdoor seating (which is nice during the winter or at night when it's actually cool enough to sit outside to eat). Furthermore, there is some inconsistency in the size of some of their meals (maybe it depends on who is working). I usually order a half salad and soup or sandwich. Sometimes the salad will fill the whole bowl, other times the bowl will only be a quarter of the way full. The same thing happens with the sandwiches--sometimes a half sandwich will be almost as big as a whole one and other times it will literally be a three bite sandwich. I've really only had this problem when ordering from the You Pick 2 menu though. Those few negatives aside, Panera Bread is one of my favorite restaurants in town. It is kept very clean, the staff always seems to be friendly and willing to fix any mistakes that they may make, the atmosphere inside is pleasant and soothing, and the food always seems really fresh. read more
