I placed an order for deliver. ETA 10:22 am-10:29 am. At 10:45 still had not received order and it wasn't until i emailed that they acknowledged the delay. They apologized and offered $5 off my next order. When the order finally arrived 30 mins later my sandwich was ice cold. They didn't even have the decency to send me a hot sandwich and they also made changes on the order that i was not aware of . I love Panera bread and I typically have a great experience however the person who took my order got it completely wrong. I was not able to eat my food because I ended up with a product I cannot eat! Shame on me for not looking before leaving. I should have assumed it was not correct when they gave me something as if I was eating in the restaurant. Please train your staff on how to edit an order. Rather than complain, I simply I discontinued going to Panera about 2 years ago, due to the diminished quality & care put into their food. However, pressed for time, I stopped at a convenient location to pick up a baguette thinking if there's one thing that SHOULD still be great, it's the bread. Right? Nope. The salad I had at Panera was huge (full size) and so filling and fresh! The food came out super quickly, less than 10 minutes and the staff was friendly. Worst Panera bread. I decided to do a rapid order upon entering the plaza in anticipation that it might be busy and easier to customize online and have my order waiting. After waiting about 10 mins after my order was supposed to be ready based on email confirmation, I get a call from my husband indicating they were out of the bread for my sandwich (brioche for the breakfast bacon egg and cheese sandwich) and that he had told them to do sour bread and didn't want me to be caught off guard when I got it. Shocked that they would be out of this bread considering that all of their breakfast sandwiches pretty much are on the brioche bread. After waiting another 10 minutes another gal comes wondering where her rapid pick up order is. Hers is delivered shortly after that and when I inquire about mine she asked the woman preparing sandwiches and reminds her that it should be on sourdough bread and I hear her say that she will make it now. What? What happened to my order. Finally I receive my order and the woman indicates my coffee cup is in the bag. I check and there is no coffee cup in the bag. She initially tries to debate this until finally another girl says just give her a cup. I am alone and have no use for 2 cups there is no cup in my bag. Finally I go to eat my sandwich and realize there's no cheese on it despite the fact that I had customized this order to have fresh mozzarella instead of the white cheddar cheese which was a 50 Cent upgrade. It was quiet when I walked in, maybe 5 people in the entire front. There were many more employees that there were customers, but somehow it was STILL difficult to find a clean place to sit. Not only were many of the tables left dirty, but the rug was filthy- crumbs were literally everywhere. I've worked in the restaurant industry for many years, and it's very unsightly for paying customers to have so many dirty tables , dirty rugs . My most annoying thing however is how the employees were fooling around in the front of the house like no one was there, using language that isn't very professional in the workplace. I guess in a place like Panera where you don't live on tips you may not care about these things. Save your money and go somewhere else, it's just expensive hospital food. read more

We ate lunch at this location today (March 5, 2022) . It was the first time in six months due to a lousy takeout meal that we experienced previously. I had written a review based on that meal and the manager responded with two coupons for complimentary (almost) meals. We ordered basically the same meals for dine-in that we ordered for for take-out: I had the half tuna sandwich and soup (French onion) my wife ordered the half tuna sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup. I informed the person taking our orders that we received the complimentary meals due to the fact that our takeout sandwiches had barely a spoonful of tuna each, which was not acceptable. I didn't know this when we placed our orders but when I looked at our receipt on our way home, we saw a line item for "Xtra tuna salad...$1.79". It's a good thing the meal was almost complimentary -,I had to pay for my drink, again... $3.09! The French Onion Soup was lamentable - first of all, there was no bread in the bowl, the onions tasted ordinary at best and the cheese ( what there was of it), was stringy and tasteless. And, instead of being served hot - it was barely warm. It tasted like something coming from a can. Our tuna sandwiches were chocked with two slices of tomato , a bunch of lettuce which made us think we were getting a big sandwich - but all of this garnish only covered up a minimum amount of tuna on my sandwich (remember I was charged for extra tuna salad) and even less on my wife's sandwich. Ugh! To summarize: nothing significant has changed since our last visit. The food is below average - even bad. Certainly not worth the trip or the price. The customer service is nothing to write home about, but worth mentioning in a review. The manager was called to the register to sign the coupons and exhibited no comment at all as to hoping this meal would be better than our takeout meals. That was unfortunate. She should have said something. But this is Zero Beach - one cannot expect too much! The entire attitude of the staff was less than friendly, certainly not professional. I'm not sure how some of the staff still have their jobs, but again its ZB...one can't...too much. Ugh! We may not return to this restaurant again. We travel to our condo in Daytona Beach regularly and will go to the Panera Bread there. They know how to prepare food and they treat customers as they want to be treated. My recommendation is not to patronize the restaurant at Indian River Boulevard. It's not worth the time, the trip or the price! Note to the Manager: Please don't send me another set of complimentary coupons. The complimentary meals were worse than the ones we paid for. If you want to compensate for the lousy meals we've had at your establishment, figure out how much we've spent on 4 orders and send me a check. read more

I picked up my order after waiting for over 20 minutes in front of the counter. When I got home I opened up my "bacon egg and cheese" sandwiches and became quickly disappointed. not only was there no bacon and cheese, but the "fried" eggs were gooey with the uncooked whites dripping down. Stopped here for an early dinner this evening and took some pics. Not really busy on an early evening holiday weekend but was fully staffed. I had the French Onion soup in a sourdough bread bowl...so very, very good. Curiously enough, it comes with another hunk of sourdough bread which makes it too much bread to eat in one sitting but can be wrapped up to bring home. Also had the fresh brewed iced tea and it is nice and strong. They offer a full accompaniment of sweetners for the tea and coffee as well as skim milk, half and half, 2% milk, and fresh sliced lemon. I was craving something sweet so decided to indulge in a cookie (although the pastries were very tempting). I had a large chocolate cookie with walnuts and chocolate chips. Somehow it got eaten before I could snap a pic. You may assume that means it was yummy. :) This is a very comfortable place to sit and relax and chat. I like Panera's. Always have. I think they're a little expensive for some things. The staff seems to have high turnovers. Sometime they're not the brightest crew. If I have ever had an issue with an order, they're quick to fix UNLESS it to go order. I can't tell you how many times I have ordered to go only to find out it's wrong. So I always check to see if it's correct now. I no longer get delivery from them because that is a whole other negative issue. As a long, long time Vero resident I frequent this Panera often. However for me it's little things that have the greatest impact. And over time I have noticed that the service of food has not met my expectations. To be direct it seems as if management's primary focus is less on a positive customer experience and more on how to cut costs. Not a successful equation. On a positive note, the service personnel are awesome. Fast forward four months, I continue to stand by my original review. We purchased a $50.00 card at a grocery store and after taking it off the cardboard it was stuck on tried to redeem it This past Sunday were told it had zero balance. We NEVER used it! Today we are told by panara it was used in Massachusetts. Not by us , haven't been there. Beware they will not treat long time customers with any respect.
