I was excited to try a place in Vero that I had never been to before but quickly started to second guess my choices. The woman who was making sandwiches was also the one who was working the register...with the same pair of gloves worn for both. Then I noticed the cheese sitting in the deli cooler that was growing mold. I let the woman know but luckily "she was going to get that out of there today anyway". Hopefully this was somehow a fluke but I doubt it. read more

I've lived here my whole life and had high hopes for this place. The bread was soft and flavorless , the meat was slim amount and cut to thick. Way too much bread to meat ratio. Was super disappointed. Just dry bread taste with every bite. My buddy was with me from New Jersey and he said this would not pass the test at the local Wawa . read more

My "go-to" place for an eggplant Parmesan sub. Absolutely delicious! Large portion, fresh ingredients with authentic, homemade sauce and delicious melted cheese on top. The service is friendly and fast. I look forward to returning to purchase additional items. Their homemade soup looks delicious.! read more

Amazing hole in the wall place. Great energy from workers, chill environment. Got the Italian sub, tastes immaculate. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone craving a sub or anything Italian! read more

Stopped by for a quick bite. Nothing quite like a small family owned business that puts you first. Great meatball sub. Good place here.

I enjoyed my italian sub! The eggplant sub was pretty solid too. I enjoyed Giordano's but I wouldn't go out of my way for it!

You can't go wrong with a sub from here. The very best , always fresh. The place reminds me of a sub shop in NYC.

I had time to kill as I took a friend down to an appointment in Vero Beach... A watermelon sitting on a counter has more personality and manners than this guy. No hello, thank you etc. I should have just walked out as my gut was saying this place will suck. Ordered two Italian sandwiches. Even though I am spoiled by Ceratto's in Melbourne who make their own breads, mozzarella etc and fills them heavy with meats, cheese, roaster pepper etc...I was massively disappointed by this place Giordano's. It was horrible. Wafer thin amount of meat. Mostly all fluffy bread and shredded lettuce. I would have been better off throwing 23 bucks out the car door. I've been in the food business for over 30 years and this place is an absolute joke. read more

The bread was pretty tuff not the kind of bread I really enjoy. The previous owners use to make things a bit differently. For example, the garlic Italian sub use to be made with garlic infused oil. Now they use garlic powder from a shaker. The Italian is toasted, so This should be good right? Well, in this case they put the toppings on before toasting the bun. This way you get a soggy sub that hardly resembles bread anymore. The original owners use to cook their own bread and it was nice, soft, warm and tasty. I miss the old days. Service was really good and the staff was really nice. I was throw off becaue they just let you eat and drink before you pay. I kept thinking how is this going to work and kept reminding myself I still need to pay before leaving. read more

Very good sandwich! Ate it at home very good lunch, will go back for more! Try it you will like it!!

Best sandwiches in Vero Beach ! Small buisness thats run by the oeners. They are great guys ! My favorite is the italian hold the onoins.

Owner operated, Giordano's Deli is located in a very small strip center on the edge of U.S. 1 and 21st Street, near downtown Vero Beach. Drive too fast toward the curve and you will miss this place entirely. I've eaten here over a dozen times in the last year and have always enjoyed 5-star service. While I've tried several different subs and hoagies, my favorite is the "Italian Special." A sub roll stuffed with Provolone cheese, ham, capicola, pepperoni, Genoa salami, with lettuce and tomato, onion, hot peppers, seasoning, oil, and vinegar. While I've had this sub both toasted and cold, my preference leans toward the cold. Seeking a vegetarian substitute? The special today was a marinated portabella mushroom with fresh spinach, sundried tomatoes, fresh basil, and feta cheese. Served toasted, it's a great addition to the menu for those seeking a vegetarian option. I'm not a vegetarian, so I will stick with the "mainline" Italian sandwiches and meals. Interesting taste and nothing wrong with the sub - I'm just more of a meat and potatoes man. Eat in or take it to go. Gardens salads, lunch platters and even dessert. Catering offered as well. Cash, checks, and credit cards accepted. A few tables inside - a few more outside. A comfortable place to relax for a quick meal. Chow Cab for local delivery in the Vero Beach area. Giordano's is a clean establishment with friendly and polite staff. Like I said earlier, it's owner operated, so you have that "Mom and Pop" type atmosphere. They share a parking lot with a nail salon and Sushi place. Just be careful how you exit as varying traffic patterns exist ride outside the deli. William E. Lewis Jr. Vero Beach, Florida. read more

Best damn Italian sub I've had in a long time!, We ordered the original Italian subs and all the best smells, vinegar and Italian spices were right on point! Arrive hungry as this is a generously filled sandwich on the absolute best Italian loaf of bread. read more

Just had my third visit since the new guys took over. Three visits and three Home runs. The Italian special is exactly how I want it. The consistency is amazing. Can't wait for my next chance to visit. Great food and friendly service. Thanks guys. read more

I recently moved back to the area and this was my first time back to Giordano's. This was my go to spot when I lived here before and subs were as good as they get. There was a nice Hungarian couple running it at the time, and I never had anything short of exceptional. I see they have new owners now, and something is different. I can't put my finger on it, but my sandwich was not nearly as good. Pretty standard. Not bad by any means, but not the standout's they were before. read more

Great Mom and Pop deli! If you're looking for delicious sandwiches and great service this is the place to go. My husband and I have been getting sandwiches from here for a few years and we have never been disappointed. We highly recommend Giordanos! read more

THE place in Indian River County for a "real" NY sub! We have been going there for 10 years. Well worth the time to find it the first time. It's right off US1 in the center of town. If you are from the north east and have been missing the great subs, look no further. Always fresh and made by hand the old fashioned way. BTW they also cater! read more

Tiny little place, huge ass taste! The prosciutto and mozzarella sub is amazing, but then so is everything else. Easy to miss, but don't miss it! read more

The subs are wonderful and so fresh. It's almost like they grow their own tomatoes. We had the Italian sub just as it comes and went back the next day for another. Very small so seating is limited but they have a couple of tables outside read more

Well, I heard they were the best. Unfortunately, I got a half of an Italian sub there today, and there were like three thin slices of meat on the monster. So ok -- if you're gonna make an Italian Sub -- please allow me to taste that there is meat on it! Sorry, won't be back. read more

I cry tears of joy when I think about this place. Anytime someone asks about a good sub spot, I automatically tell them to come here. Try the Italian sub. It's ballin. read more

Probably the best food in the United States. If I die, I want to be choking on one of these sandwiches with a smile on my face.

I try not to say anything is the BEST so I don't contradict myself later. I have no problem at all, though, saying that Giordano's makes the BEST sub I have ever had, and probably will ever have. The very definition of an old-fashioned mom and pop place, Gian and Gisella treat all their customers like friends and serve up the most well-proportioned, satisfying subs, made to order. The garlic toasted Italian is definitely a favorite of mine, as well as the sausage and pepper. Their meatball parm is also one that really stands head and shoulders above every other meatball sub I've ever eaten. It has just the right amount of cheese (that is, a LOT), the meatballs are toothy and scrumptious, and that sauce is just heaven - dark red, thick, and rich with great tomato flavor. Gian slaps it all on a toasted roll and you can die happy. Down it with a cold birch beer. There is one other BEST that Giordano's has going for them: their cannoli. I watched while Gisella made my cannoli, powdered it with care, and brought it to the counter; I took an eager bite and knew right away that this was what a cannoli should be. It sets the standard. I truly don't think I'll ever have a better cannoli. The roll is crisp and flavorful, but it's the filling that really sends it over the top. Do yourself a favor - stop in and bring your appetite, and you won't leave unsatisfied. read more

At least once a week I have to come here and get their chicken cutlet sub with the works! But everything is awesome. The guys who own it couldn't be nicer and the location is right in the middle of everything so its great when you're running errands to get a quick bite! Reminds me of delis from home in NY! read more

Best subs I've ever had in my life. I miss this place so much, because no one seems to compare. Small place. Very nice owners. GO HERE!

Freshest subs I have had. Now when I have a bring your own lunch meeting I make a point of calling in a to go pickup order.
