The food I had was disgusting. Pepperoni pizza was so greasy and the garlic knots were in a round tin that literally was full of some type of fake greasy butter. So much that it was spilling all in the bag it came in and was leaking all over the place. Tried one of them and it was horrible. Threw it all in the trash. Cap's is a local, family-owned spot in business for over 37 years. Locals rate their pizza one of the best in the community. Will say that transplants from the north may not think it's the best, but let's face it, pizza up north and pizza in the south is different. I will preface my review by stating I am a lifelong southern gal. There is nothing fancy about Cap's location, which gives it that hometown, local vibe. It is a small place with a big personality. The staff seems to enjoy working there and are super friendly. Cap's offers daily specials, and a happy hour from 4-7 pm offering $2 domestic draft beers. We went on Tuesday to enjoy the 16" Cheese pizza special for $10.99. The beer was ice cold, and the pizza was cooked to perfection. All served with a smile. I will say I have had better pizza, but for the price, the good service, and the awesome happy hour, you can't go wrong stopping in here for a casual date night. read more

I have to say the salad was my favorite because the dressing was absolutely delicious. We ordered a medium pizza, an order of wings and a pasta dish (came with the knots and the salad), and a cannoli and only paid $57! Makayla was our server and she was kind and sweet and made some great recommendations. We will be back again next time we are in vero. Issues. because of them not accepting the entertainment book coupon they had published (bad form imo), and attitude from staff, and lastly, poor quality food. (I left out the service fee to order online, along with the deliver to your car option that never happened ).... It's been a couple years and I put a note to a comment on Nextdoor app of FB and said I don't recommend them. John, the owner contacted me offering to earn the business back. That was very nice of him. I did go back and tried s Stromboli which was big, and pretty good. After getting the chicken parm on my first try that was so burnt and dry, it was not edible. This was a pleasant experience. I Give John a thank you. I bumped my 1 star to the 3 star to average out. She brought home the antipasto salad, sausage pepperoni pizza and a thin spinach pizza The salad was very generous with peppers, olives, ham, salami and a tasty dressing. Both pizzas were delicious and the crust is great. Being from Chicago my final test is to eat left over cold pizza the next day and Caps pizza did not disappoint! Just had delivery through bitesquad but this was excellent pizza! I got the cap's bomber pizza, a side salad, and a cannoli. The pizza was incredible and really filling! It had tons of toppings. It was a pretty heavy pizza! The side salad had really fresh tomatoes with some dried herbs and cheese on it. The ranch dressing had great homemade flavor. The cannoli was really good too, but I have only had one or two in my life so I don't know how it rates in terms of cannolis across the board. I liked it plenty though. read more

I've been going to caps for probably close to 20yrs. Hand tossed pizza. Plenty of options. I went from ordering the Bomber (minus fish) for years, then to the spinach with mushrooms and lately the wife and I are enjoying the lasagna pizza. The pizza cost a little more then your chain pizza place which should be expected. The quality is hands down better and your supporting a family ran business. So when friends brought us to Caps I was skeptical. We were blown away by the pizza. It's definitely become our favorite in town, our entirely family loves it. A couple months ago I decided to try their Philly, as I had already given up hope of finding a good or even decent Philly in town. The first time I got it I thought it was decent. It wasn't incredible but definitely the best I've had since living here. But every other time after that it has been phenomenal. It's now not just top in town for me, but top 10 of any Philly I've had anywhere. Downside is they don't deliver, but it's worth the drive to pick it up, especially that it is usually ready for pick up rather quickly. No, No, No! Not Again! I am never making the mistake of ordering food from Cap's Pizza again. I have known this pizza place since I was a kid. They used to have some pretty good food at some affordable prices. Today, they are surviving off their name alone. Do not eat here. Last night, I ordered food from Cap's. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan Dinner. It didn't come with a side of pasta, so I had to order one separately. It did come with a small salad and some garlic knots. More on those later. I called in my order. I was at the restaurant 15 minutes later. It was a Friday night around 8:30 to 9:00. It looked like business was dying down for the night, but there were still some families eating and drinking. Everyone looked to be having a good time. The waitresses seemed to be taking care of the patrons and providing friendly service. For me, it was a different story. I walked up to the counter to inquire about my pickup order. The lady working there wouldn't even crack a smile. She looked like she wanted nothing to do with me. She did not say thank you. It felt very cold, especially for a small mom and pop pizza place like this. I still tipped a dollar for my to-go order regardless. I was however informed that my order was "not ready yet". So I grabbed a seat, and I waited. And I waited. And I waited some more. I waited for 30 minutes. That's right - 30 minutes. Add that to the 15 minutes it took me to get to the restaurant, that's 45 minutes. For a small to-go order. After 30 minutes, another waitress asked if I was waiting for something. No, I just like sitting alone in a restaurant playing on my phone... yes, I am clearly waiting for something. She asked what I was waiting for. I told her my order, even though as staff she should have already known. Five minutes later I had my food. I said thank you, and left. But it doesn't end there. Let's talk about my side of pasta. You ever see Goodfellas? Remember that scene at the end where Henry Hill talks about being served egg noodles and ketchup? Yup, that's what I had here. Poorly cooked egg noodle pasta and bland marinara. Very disappointing. The eggplant was cooked well, but drowned in the same dreadful marinara. The side salad was nothing to write home about, though to be fair, I don't expect much from a small side salad. The garlic knots were tiny and tasted stale. Awful. This meal cost me $22 - $23 if you count the courtesy tip for a pick-up order. I do not feel this meal was worth $22. It was not worth half that. I feel cheated. Never again Cap's. Never again. DO NOT EAT AT CrAP'S PIZZA. read more
