While visiting the city, this restaurant, which is located near the hotel, was recommended. It is a sizeable eatery, but it wasn't clear if you had to seat yourself or order and then seat yourself. I was hungry, so I chose to dine in. After being seated, service was great, and the food was rich with flavor. I recommend it.

What thieves! They sent me a coupon for a "large pie". Instead they sold me a medium/small 14" pie and claimed it was a large pie. And they couldn't even cut it correctly.

Are there twice while visiting family. Caesar salad, Calamari, pizza were all fantastic. Good dough, well cooked, plenty of toppings, fresh salad... great both times! Both servers were quick to the table able and attentive. Tables, menus, restroom were all very clean.

Delicious food, great prices, and friendly service! The dining room has plenty of room to accommodate large or small parties. I eat lunch here often.. The eggplant parm is superb!

Was in town and was craving pizza and saw this place was close by and read their good reviews. When I came in there was no hostesses to greet us or seat us so we walked up to the counter to order to go. We ordered the fredy pizza and Greek salad so good, fresh and delicious. We eventually sat down to wait for the food. The server passed us several times and didn't greet us or ask if we wanted something to drink while we wait. It was so odd. Other guest stubbles in as well and was looking lost and clueless due to no host to greet and seat, if it's a sit yourself place then a sign should be displayed.

We ordered pizza from here the other night. We ordered a medium cheese pizza, a medium gluten free pizza with pineapple & ham, and mozzarella sticks. Apparently the cheese & mozzarella sticks were really good. The gluten free great and I really couldn't tell it was gluten free, which is always a plus. My only complaint is the price. For those 3 items it was $46 which is just a bit pricey in my opinion especially considering their mediums are smaller than a normal "medium."

Service was great. Food was decent but nothing spectacular. The garlic rolls were delicious. But the entree was not that tasty

We stop to eat every time we visit Vero Beach; it's all delicious but the best meatball sandwich I've had is RIGHT HERE.

I don't super recall having one of their beers at the Stuart beer festival, so I was excited about 'retrying' it. First, the building is awesome. Read the history on it, but also hard to ignore the giant generator that the beer comes out of it....super cool visual. I like the vibe of the place overall, and the patio seemed really nice but since it was our first visit I wanted to take the inside 'all in', and glad we did. Ok..the beers.... Flight: 6 5 oz pours for $15. Reasonable enough.. We started here just to see what pint we each wanted: *Freedom Tourch Stout: I loved it. *Hazy IPA *Double Vision IPA: Really enjoyed it; just amped up the hazy a bit. *Hef: Decent (not a super fan of hef, but wanted to sample) *Lager: Decent, it's a lager: * Icon IPA I ended up with an Icon IPA as my pint, enjoyed! Ok..the food * We split 10 wings for $16. Naked with nashville hot and blue cheese on teh side. Really enjoyed, meaty. * We also split a burger..the fun guy (funghi). We upgraded to sweet potato fries. I thought it was delicious, and the swp instead of marshmallow fluff had a maybe sweet cream cheese dip (i don't care it was delicious!) :) Now they were out of a few beers that was my first pick (including the Saison) but I guess it was others picks too..hence why they were out! Definitely want to go back!

*INITIAL REVIEW*…read more Today, my family and I celebrated Mother's Day given the fact one of my sisters and I would be too busy to celebrate it on the actual day. Ergo, we made a trip down to Vero Beach and had fun at both McKee Botanical Gardens and the Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA), both which got stellar reviews by me in the past. In between both locales, we were hungry and needed to eat someplace local. I had some suggestions, but my mom was in the mood for seafood. As a suggestion from reviews, The Crab Stop of Vero Beach was ultimately decided upon. I have to say, I am happy this restaurant was suggested because it is very good. Even though an address is provided, The Crab Spot of Vero Beach (which I will shorthand simply to Crab Spot for the remainder of this review) is located on the southside of the entryway into Royal Palm Place, one of the many extensions leading out into the water near US-1, but this one is known for the Royal Palm Park at the end. Initial display, decor, and ambiance has the stereotypical local dive bar look with elements showcasing they specialize in seafood, and the little bits of rustic flaws adds a bit of character for what they are. I would not expect such a look for a high-end restaurant, but this works for a local place on the river. The chairs squeeked, the table wobbled a bit in which the waitress fixed with some coasters, and the plates were chipped. No problem at all. There was even outdoor seating in the back bar-style which gives you a nice view of the canal that leads to the river. It was high sun, so we opted for the air conditioning. Now we move on to the food. I have to say that the majority of our food was really good, and when you adjusted to what you are eating, it was top-notch. Key word, however, is the "majority." The good: the hush puppies basket as you get 10 hush puppies that are lightly-seasoned with 1000 island sauce. If you eat one, it is probable you might think it is light on seasoning. However, they are small and finishing all 10 won't be a problem. The flavor builds with each hush puppy, which was smartly done compared to what most seafood places do: give you like two to five hush puppies of large size and high flavoring. The wings, however, used a hot sauce that was mostly vinegar. This ruined the wings for me, and if my stepdad ordered 20, he'd be eating the majority of them. Everything else was top-notch and delicious. Altogether, my family ordered the Fish and Chips, Mahi Sandwich, Fried Catfish Sandwich, Sea Scallop Snack Pack, and the Crab Cake Dinner. Details for each dish in the pictures. On a sidenote, the restroom was okay as in clean and stocked, but not the best-looking restroom I seen. Maybe the "character" could have not be extended to the restroom. Ultimately, I am giving Crab Stop four out of five stars. I do enjoy a good "mom n' pop" place as I prefer to support local and small, but since this is the only time I went, I can't justify a five-star rating until they prove to be consistent. I will be back as there is another park just south of this business that has geocaches that need to be found AND I may also try to hide a traditional letterbox here. But take note for a local seafood stop, this place is good to go.
