I'm fine with sampling different restaurants because I travel away from home more than 70% of the year. Sometimes I want ambience and other times I'm going strictly for the food. Tonight was one of those times that I wanted what was considered to be the best pizza in Vero Beach and I found it, I truly found it. There's a reason why they are already number one in Yelp when you search for pizza in Vero Beach. This unassuming location in a strip plaza at the far end may make some hesitant. It's a small, quiet place Let me tell you something I've been to some of the best areas and worst areas, areas with bars on the windows, gunshots, police, cars, and helicopter circling the restaurants. And I tell you from personal experience some of those places can turn out the best food experiences you'll ever have. I'm pleased to say this is not a dangerous area, instead it's a quiet area just off the interstate on 60. I ordered a small 10" mushroom pizza and a coke. The smell, the taste and crunch of the crust demands many returns. You can attempt finding pizza at several of the locations in the area or we can stop wasting your time and come here. Reviews sometimes are exaggerated, but I'm telling you right now as much of an exaggeration as this may seem, I put this pizza up against anything in the area. You tell him that Captain big daddy sent you and that you're there to try their pizza. By the way, they do serve other things and on my next visit. I am going to get a pizza and I am going to get a sandwich and I know that I'm gonna be taking food home with me. Give these folks a try and make sure you tell your friends.
