I placed my first order around 12:45 PM because I can't leave work during my shift, and what should've been a simple lunch turned into a frustrating situation with multiple issues through DoorDash. When you're stuck at work and can't step away to fix anything, it honestly makes it worse. But then--Katie at Panera Bread stepped in and completely changed the entire experience. Not only did she fix the issue, she went above and beyond in a way you just don't see anymore. When I finally received my order, there was a handwritten note apologizing and hoping my day got better. It caught me off guard--in the best way. It wasn't just about the food anymore. It was about someone actually caring. To start, I will say the sweet lady taking the orders is the best around. She is always so friendly. She makes you feel so welcome and that she is glad you came to eat there. Now for the food. I ordered the Garden Avo (avocado toast with tomato on top). I have had this many times before and it has always been great. But this time, it had very little avocado on it. Small chopped up pieces unlike before. It was tasty, but would have been nice to have a little more avocado. Maybe they are trying to cut back since avocados have gotten so expensive. It is better to just raise the price and let the customer decide if they want to pay extra than it is to put a piece of toast with very little avocado on it. When we ate at Panera we had a quick light lunch that was really flavorful. I tried a soup with chilies and corn chips and it was terrific, the sandwich was also tasty. The service was quick and the food was great for a quick lunch. read more

We stopped at the Panera in Valdosta, off Exit 18 to grab a quick breakfast. This location was run down and poorly managed. From the moment we walked in, I'm surprised we did walk out. There wasn't anyone at the register to greet us, so we decided to use the kiosks, with only one working, so you had to wait to order your food until others finished. Then the scteen tells you to grab a buzzer, there weren't any. There weren't any napkins in the dispenser, I took a picture. The half snd half was empty (it was morning). The coffee station was dirty. The dining room floor was dirty as well as many of the tables, as we were looking for somewhere to sit. We hadn't been to a Panera in a couple of years and I don't see us going back. So unfortunate, because the food is good. read more

The inside of this location was very clean, and the bathroom is well kept. We placed a large order a couple hours ahead of time and all of the food was warm and tastes fresh. However, when we realized that some items were missing, one of us headed back inside to ask about our missing items that we never received. After a display of mild unprofessionalism, the management provided us the items along with a free meal. Overall, the food was all fresh and ready when we got there for our pickup time. read more

First, let me start with the fact that this particular restaurant was completely dead on a Sunday morning at 10AM & I feel sorry for the staff - (which were very nice) that has sell to sell horrible product. Now, I have to admit that I have not been to this restaurant chain in literally years but what the heck happened to Panera bread?? They used to be so good! I stopped in this Valdosta Panera for my favorite cinnamon crunch bagel and got in the car to continue on my way home. First, let me start with the appearance of the bagel. There was barely any hint of anything cinnamon or crunchy on the top of the bagel. It was much smaller than I remember and much denser . Now for the taste - absolutely disgusting!! It tasted and smelled like chemicals! I didn't taste any cinnamon other than the very sparse sprinkle of cinnamon sugar on the top and again it had a very chemically taste. All in all - I would say if you were looking for your old favorites at Panera - they aren't there anymore, plus they have barely a thing in their bakery case they used to have so many goodies and they were all good and they were all made baked fresh in the Store and now everything comes frozen, yuck!!! Ordered on the app for rapid pick up at 3. Walk-in at 3:10 and no orders are ready and none coming up on the board. Ask about it and find out the order hasn't even come in and it's been 25 minutes since I placed it. If you're trying to do a quick in and out, unfortunately can't trust the app. Also while waiting, another person came in with same issue. Then they also had an issue with the buzzers for dine in service not alerting customers their meal was ready. Sadly not a great experience at this location. But the staff was nice and apologetic so that made it a little better. They are the only reason this visit gets stars. read more

The WORST thing about this place is that I can't take it with me. Truly the BEST Panera ever. I'm traveling and was able to come here two days in a row. They have the KINDEST staff. Super clean. Yummy food. Nice layout. Whoever operates this location should go train the stores in Tampa Bay. They really need your help. I recommend wrapped tea bags instead of exposed and coffee stir sticks. Also one night chairs were placed upside down and kept that way one hour before closing. That is not very welcoming. The second night it was normal. Awesome job. read more

This is the best Panera bread I've been to in a while. It's relatively new and the layout is such that you can enter it on a kiosk what you want or at the counter which seem to be very efficient. Pretty new layout, very open, lots of windows and you get a number when you enter your order and I swear our order came out in less than five minutes. Not often you get a customized order that quick and there was noticeably more items on a half sandwich in terms of volume than other Panera's I've been to. Meaning chicken salad looked to be a nice helping of chicken salad, chicken avocado with tomato was a large half sandwich with tomato basil soup was fantastic. Won't go into all the things Panera offers but with sandwiches soup and fresh pastries this will be a good success if they keep up the good work. I brought my daughter and granddaughter here and they were quite pleased so glad to see this in town by the mall. Recommend ! read more

This five star rating is given for one specific reason. The young, thin, African American man working in the kitchen this morning was exceptional. He kindly waited with food by two elderly ladies table while they came to a break in their conversation. That really showed exceptional service. Then, as I got my bagel at the window, I over heard him say to another kitchen staff member, " Always ask me and come get me if you need. I'm happy to help." Food is good, but the building is dirty. The men's bathroom is absolutely filthy. The urinals and toilets look like they've never been touched in months and the carpet/floor is not vacuumed and was covered in crumbs everywhere. at least try to vacuum it once a week. read more

Absolutely freezing inside. Been going here for years. It is always freezing inside. I mention it to management every time. It never changes. Even other patrons have commented the same when it's obvious we are trying to find a table that air conditioning vents are not blowing directly onto. Good food but not worth the atmosphere. I love Panera. Go to locations all over. Went thru the drive thru at this one on our way home. Half way thru a long drive. Ordered sandwiches and coffee from drive though and quickly back in the road. Food was fine but c'mon Valdosta Panera, the coffee was COLD. Not iced I mean I got a hot cup with cold coffee. Of course already left the window when I discovered this So Panera, when someone orders hot coffee at the drive through....we want hot coffee.. I have been a Panera fan for many years, but every chance I've given the Valdosta store has ended with buyer's remorse. Today I spent $35 for 2 adult and 1 kids' meals, but what we got was low-quality, poorly prepared, and does not meet Panera standards...or my expectations! Even the cookie looked pathetic. I normally don't review chain establishments as they are usually pretty consistent and well known. I do make exceptions when they exceed my expectations or in this case are a great disappointment. This Panera was hands down the worse I've ever visited. If this had been my first panera visit it probably would have been my last. This location is one of the new style / layout restaurants. Sadly they cater to people that want to order from a screen rather than a actual person. I dealt with that and you would think that since you do all ordering yourself that employees would be freed up to prepare the orders. I wait 47 minutes after placing order under I received it. I actually had to go ask what was going on. All other orders were taking this long also it appeared based on what I seen. It seemed like there was only one person preparing orders yet I seen at least four other employees. One was taking orders the normal way, there was a long line for that though. hence the reason I had to use the self order checkout screen. This leaves three employees. One was delivering the food to tables when it came up. So now there are two additional works that appear to be doing nothing. Maybe they are new and not experienced or qualified to prepare food yet. But on top of all mentioned above this was the filthiest/ dirtiest Panera I've ever been too, there was trash everywhere. The napkin holders were also empty. I would highly recommend that corporate Panera look into this location and franchisee because it's horrible and not worthy of the Panera name. read more

My wife and I stopped in for lunch at about 1:15. I ordered a half turkey and avocado BLT and summer squash soup. The soup was fine but ended up getting cold by the time I had the manager come out and look at the mess of a sandwich I was served. After picking up the sandwich, I asked the manager to come to the table. I pointed out the lettuce pieces that were brown and black. Not a pieces of lettuce, but what looked like lettuce scraps. The tomato wasn't a slice of tomato, but the leftovers. One small piece of avocado was smashed into the top of the sandwich. The bacon was undercooked and soft. As I was describing and showing it to the manager, she kept saying "Okay", until she informed me that was the way the bacon was usually made. I explained that in my experience, the bacon would be crunchy, but what I had was undercooked. Her response was that IF I wanted, she would refund the cost of the sandwich. No offer to remake the sandwich, and it wasn't until I brought it to her attention that all she had done was defend the undercooked bacon that she then admitted the sandwich was under par. And offered to refund the cost of the sandwich. She never offered to remake the sandwich the way it should be. I declined the refund offer as I told her that it would appear that was my intent when I really wanted her to know what the problem was. Now the soup was cold and not nearly as good as it was before the manager got there. My wife's Southwestern lime and chicken salad was also unappetizing and went mostly uneaten. We are done with Panera in Valdosta and will be difficult to tempt to Panera anywhere. At my age if I get poor service and poor food I just don't bother to try it anymore. read more

Like many service businesses these days, this Panera location seems understaffed and overwhelmed. Our most recent experience will be the last for us after our food took 30 minutes and was missing a sandwich. Panera has numerous procedures for their employees to follow to make the experience easier for patrons but it seems like they were all ignored. We are still waiting for Panera to review and respond to our request for reimbursement for the missing sandwich. read more

This place has top of the line customer service. The cashier at the front counter always has a smile on her face and a really pleasant attitude. She makes this place really warm and inviting.The kitchen staff work so well together like a well oiled machine to churn those orders out. Always kind and accommodating! Never really a point in reviewing chain restaurants but this Panera was screaming for it. Extremely poor quality. I've been a few times now and each time it's something new. First time we came, we arrived at 8:00 on a Saturday. No bagels available. Not a single bagel. Apparently the machine was down or someone didn't come in and do what they were supposed to do. Next visit, we order dinner and it was actually fine. The drive-thru was quick and the food was fine. However, it showed it's true colors when we arrived for breakfast again and were told "we don't have any Asiago Bagels." It's 9:00am, we ask if there are any in the back and get a "nope." We aren't offered an explanation of "we have more baking", we simply get a lazy no response. Fine, whatever, I need food. We order 2 bagels and we wait 10 minutes when nobody is in line. Go to Starbucks or red owl. Save some time and money. read more

My boyfriend and I were in town for a few days and he suggested dinner at Panera. I typically don't enjoy Panera so I was super impressed at how clean and updated the restaurant was. Our food was delicious and I couldn't stop talking about how we should start eating here more often. I had the pick two with a salad that was super fresh and yummy and the mac and cheese. He had the turkey chili and really enjoyed his meal as well. I decided to come back the next day for breakfast. That's where my infatuation with Panera ceased and I remember why I stopped coming to this chain. I showed up at 10:30, waited a few minutes for anyone to come to the register and tried to order breakfast. I was told that since they weren't busy that morning, they switched to lunch early. This is super aggravating because it can't be that hard to heat frozen eggs up and throw on a bagel...but they wouldn't do it. Rather than eat a sandwich at 10:30 in the morning, I ordered a bagel and cream cheese. The bagel was just ok and it came out on plate with a small plastic thing of cream cheese and plastic knife that broke as soon as I tried to use it. I went in today and, though it was slow, it took about 3 minutes for anyone to come up and take my order. When I went to find a seat, many tables had either plates on then, they were full of crumbs, or the seats were full of crumbs. I took a seat with crumbs on it, but a clean table, and wiped the seat with a napkin. The food arrived not too long after. When I finished eating, 20 minutes later, many tables still had crumbs, seats still had crumbs, and there were crumbs, forks, and napkins on the floor. Next time I am in town, I will have to think hard about returning. My first bad experience at a Panera. Sad. read more

10-10-20 I was sitting alone in the back of the restaurant. I suspected a customer harming a child. I followed the child & man out to a car. Another customer followed me out, who was associated with the abuser. I told them both that I was going to call CPS and report them. I got their tag number. Once back in Panera the abuser party complained to the Manger. The manager then came to me and threatened to call police on me. I told her to look at the camera. This management is bad. read more

This is my 5th visit since it's opening. I have yet to receive what I ordered. They have changed breads for a couple of sandwiches, like the tuna. It came with some kind of bun looking piece of crap. No baguettes for the soups, again some type of roll that looks/tasted like it was from a grocery store. No avocado on my Mediterranean Veggie and no onions for my Chili. Both of which I specifically asked for and are listed on my receipt. The changed their cinnamon crunch scone to something that's dry, tasteless and gag....revolting. PB used to be one of my go to places for a good lunch or dinner so I was excited to see one opening in Valdosta. However, I'll be skipping this one from now on. Not sure how you can run a business, where ingredients are missing from your order and no explanations or apologies. The time before we went to the Valdosta cafe, our visit was not acceptable, thus we hadn't gone back for some time. We were hoping it was just a bad day. This visit was worse than the time before. We ordered two warm Mediterranean grain bowel with chocolate croissants and drinks. The grain bowels were lacking warmth, arugula, dressing , much quinoa or yogurt. They were very small. When I picked up the order I immediately noticed there was no arugula so I mentioned it to the person at the pick up window. With no apologies she explained they were out and asked if I would like spinach or mixed greens. We enjoy some greens in the bowels so I asked for the mixed greens, she grabbed a handful of it and dumped it onto the two bowels. My Mom dinned in when it first opened and said it was awful. I went a few weeks ago and had a very pleasant experience. I did however have to use my phone to look up the menu items because the menu above the register was not useful at all. The salad was amazing! It tasted like flowers smell. Very earthy and fresh. The sandwich was good but I like more sauce, and In my opinion the sandwich was dry. My boyfriend got the French onion soup an said "It was so num, num. if I could make it that good at the house I would." Very nice atmosphere, I plan to come back to do home work. read more

This Panera Bread definitely tops my list of Panera Breads that I've eaten at in the past. The food seemed like it was prepared in a neater fashion, Iono, maybe it looked closer to what the pictures looked like, which is cool sometimes. I actually sat inside instead of my usual drive through experience, and getting to try all the teas was nice. It was like taking a little trip through Tea Bag Town!!! What a truly wonderful place. My only complaint is that there weren't very many attractive girls in the place, and I figured it would have been slap full of 8's, 9's and 10's.
