Probably only 1 of 2 Thai restaurants in Valdosta and it was good...definitely, held me up until I returned back to cali. My go-to curry is the Panang Curry and I typically judge it by how sweet it is, the type of vegetables and if there is a peanut flavor added. So, this wasn't too sweet, which was good. It had snow peas, carrots, onions and bell peppers...snow peas was an unfamiliar one for me, but it was really good. I don't care for the bell peppers since they had a green veggie. Carrots and onions are standard, although the carrots were cut like the ones that come out of the can...but I don't know. I wish it had the peanut flavor which would've made this curry really good. Overall, check them out. Place is clean, decent area and food is good. Not a long wait for food, server was nice and prompt.

    Medium spicy chicken pho bowl

Soooooooo I finally tried pho and it was from here. The owner was so nice she even made a few jokes about my lack of experience with pho and boa boa. I am NOT a tapioca fan ... the texture is like chewing someone else's already chewed gum but it was nice of her to let me try it free. I originally wanted it to go but she insisted that I stay and enjoy it in the bowl it should be served in. I'm so glad she did bc I loved it! It's all I have been able to think about this week. I got the medium spicy chicken pho bowl.

Chicken Pad Thai/ ketchup and noodles

Tried this place based off of others' recommendation and it wasn't very good. I'm not sure if the original location may be better, but given that they have the same menu and is ran by the same people, I wouldn't imagine so, but I could be wrong. Anyway. I ordered the chicken pad Thai (safest choice) and it was soggy from over cooked noodles, not spicy even though I ordered Hot, looked pink and tasted sweet. I read the previous review and it was described as "ketchup with noodles" and I agree. My daughter ordered the fried rice, which is also super safe right?.... well not here apparently! It was BLAND, over cooked, dry and just... I mean, how can you mess up fried rice? Anyway, not sure I'll be quick to try the original location since this one was packed when I was there, and it Sucked.

It's pretty hard to mess up basil fried rice but they did a bang up job. It wasn't fried, they tossed in a few veggies and then they used DRIED BASIL.....So bad. The dumplings were ok but not exactly fresh and the salad was swimming in sweet dressing.

Food 5/5 Service 4.5/5…read moreAmbiance 4/5 One of the last things I expected when visiting Valdosta was a Vietnamese restaurant - but this might have been the best surprise I could ask for. Stone Pho is a relatively new establishment, with the typical no-frills table setup of a Vietnamese restaurant plus a little extra modernization on the walls. Their menu isn't super big either - which also can be a good thing if the quality of each dish is better as a result. Oh boy, they didn't disappoint at all. The Stone Pho Special was everything I wanted it to be and more - the broth was incredibly flavorful, even without hoisin sauce, the meats were all great quality, and who doesn't like a short rib in the bowl? It was incredible to say the least - and I can't recommend this place enough. I'll happily be coming back the next time I'm in Valdosta.

The broth is deep, rich, and incredibly flavorful--you can tell it's been simmered properly for hours, not rushed or watered down. It's clean, aromatic, and balanced, exactly how pho is supposed to taste. The beef was tender, fresh, and paired perfectly with the hot stone bowl that keeps the soup piping hot until the very last sip. From the herbs to the noodles, everything tasted authentic and thoughtfully prepared. This isn't Americanized pho--this is the real deal. If you've been to Vietnam or know what true pho should taste like, you'll appreciate the quality here immediately. Highly recommend for anyone craving genuine Vietnamese flavors. Valdosta is lucky to have this gem.

That's not a menu, that's a United Nations meeting. I was fully expecting confusion, chaos, and at least one bad life decision. I was wrong. This place is the real deal. Let's start with the sushi. I ordered the Monster Roll, and honestly, I'd order it again tomorrow without hesitation. Fresh, creative, and actually balanced. Not one of those rolls drowning in sauce trying to cover up a bad situation. This one shows up, does its job, and leaves you thinking about it later. Then came the Chicken Panang Curry. First bite? Lights out. Like, pause mid-conversation and reevaluate your expectations kind of good. Rich, creamy, just the right kick. Now, did every bite hit that same peak? Not quite. It settled into just "really, really good" instead of "life-changing," which is still a win. If I had one gripe, the chicken leaned a little overcooked. But the vegetables were perfect and that sauce absolutely carried the dish. Now the atmosphere... this is where things take a turn. It feels like a sports bar that decided one day it wanted to travel the world. TVs going, energy up, and somehow you're sitting there eating curry and sushi like this is completely normal. It shouldn't work. But it does. And shoutout to my server, Woody. At least that's what the receipt says, and I'm rolling with it. She was fun, efficient, and locked in the whole time. I came in expecting a mess. I left planning my next order. Five stars.

I always hate to leave a negative review, but Lake City seems to be struggling with quality food…read more We ordered two meals: Happy Family and Crazy Tuna Roll. Both were terrible. The tuna felt room temperature and was pretty bad in taste. The Happy Family was not so happy. It was overcooked and had thick brown gravy. It was totally disgusting. During our meal, one waitress was mocking her $10 per hour wage while walking around with a feather duster on a pole, dusting the ceiling cameras and the HVAC vents. The dust was flying everywhere. What really was gross was when she walked over to the sushi bar with the feather duster over food, which was on a tray under her. Unfortunately, there was a man sitting at the counter 4 feet away from her. I could see the dirt landing on his food. Within 5 minutes, I left. Low standards if this is your restaurant. I've tried a few dishes, and my favorites have been the shrimp tempura roll (#1 favorite), the crunchy LA roll, dynamite roll, the tuna avocado roll, the tom kha gai soup, the avocado roll, and the avocado salad. Hospitality was great. I was a solo diner a few times I dined in, and the severs weren't weird because I was alone. I've also dined in with a friend. They were attentive and friendly on both occasions. Takeout service is good as well. I usually call in my order and it's ready when I arrive. Prices are reasonable on the maki rolls and the few Thai dishes that I've tried. Btw, they have Japanese, Thai, and Chinese entrées to choose from. So I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the mood for any of the above, though I've only tried a few of the Thai and Japanese menu items.
