Fortunately, I don't understand most of the other reviews. This Panera seems fine to me - maybe it could use some extra sweeping, especially in the restrooms, but the food was good and employees enthusiastic. One wanted me to know he was right there by the baked goods when I was ready to order, and surely enough he bounded right to the register when I stepped forward. The sandwich was well filled, and the avocado was creamy and fresh. It was well balanced overall. There were a lot of people eating inside, but the space was sufficiently spread out and it didn't feel overwhelming. Those who wanted to eat in quiet had half the restaurant, and those dining as a large group had the other. Well designed! Just be careful of the drive thru - it limits the routes to get out, and some of the drivers are not watching who may be walking in front of them.

quick and friendly service! pretty quiet, we saw a lot of people studying. one thing that really threw me off was the water at the soda machine, it tasted like it was sparkling even though it wasn't... totally grossed me out

They took the time to listen carefully, made sure to understand all of our restrictions, and were very reassuring about how the food would be prepared. It made us feel completely comfortable and able to actually enjoy the experience without worrying. On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone with dietary restrictions. As we were leaving, the fire pit was lit up! Definitely would sit outside and enjoy the patio next time, because it looks gorgeous out there.

So I had negative feelings walking into this location in Southington on West Street Walking in, we were greeted warmly and seated immediately, at a table in front of the kitchen, where we could watch the action going on At the check-in station, the hostess immediately asked us if we had any allergies to foods, which kind of was weird. It's almost like the place was woke. So cruising the menu, I ordered the 110 Cuban sandwich$16.00. My friend ordered the cheeseburger, 17. +. Each of the sandwiches came with an order of french fries, or a choice of any other sides. I think there was maybe three or four other ones. Quickly the the lunch has arrived. I noticed that my friend's cheeseburger was well done and on the small side, just a little bit bigger than a slider. My 110 Cuban sandwich consisted of pulled pork, which was more barbecued and smoky than Cuban, and ham, which I couldn't taste, and a very overpowering cheese. I couldn't taste the pickle either. This was all served on a smaller sized what looked like Texas toast. The french fries were a very small order, and for a side it was disappointing. For the money paid for the sandwich and a side they could've upped the quantity of the french fries Both lunches were disappointing I'm gonna give this place three stars because the service was really nice. Our server was so attentive, especially with filling the water glasses, and asking if we needed anything else. So, with all this said, this place, reminds me of a cross between a Friendly's where you can view the open kitchen, and a sports bar. I'm not feeling this place to frequent after work for cocktails. There aren't enough televisions. I only saw one. The bar did look interesting though. The restaurant itself was comfortable, I liked the high tables and seating. The food is chain style and it just doesn't taste fresh. I was completely turned off with the way. My friends cheeseburger looked, all overcooked and stuff when she asked for medium rare, I don't think that was an option. I think they just cooked it full-blown well done I saw that there were some other dinner menu items priced from $25 to a little bit over $40. I would pass on these as this wouldn't be the place I would drop $100 for dinner on with a date or otherwise. I don't think I would even want this to be a business men's lunch. With so many other choices for local restaurants, I can see why a lot of these franchises are closing. This place is also on the pricy side.

There was a sense of Deja Vu when we drove into their parking lot, because at a bare minimum, TD Homers, Bickford's, and I think Howard Johnsons were here once upon a time. As far as casual dining modestly priced. "family" restaurants go; Ellie's Farmhouse was about as good as it gets. The interior is spacious and I liked the way the booths and seating in general were well spaced so you weren't on top of another party. The dining room has a country feel to it, with wide wood plank flooring. Service was stellar and we have to give a shout-out to our wonderful server Dawn. She was everything you want in a server -personable, funny, entertaining, informative, and just plain excellent. Our lunch started off with an unusual complimentary dish. Have you ever had apple slices sprinkled with cinnamon as a free starter before? I bet your answer was "no". Their menu offers breakfast and lunch from 8:00 - 2:00 during the week and until 3:00 on the weekend. I asked Dawn why Ellie's isn't open for dinner, and she said it was the owner's decision so he could spend more time with his family every day! We both went into the breakfast menu for lunch and my wife chose a Western Omelet with onions, peppers, ham, cheddar cheese, Served with one slice of toast and your choice of home fries, hashbrowns, or tots for $14.50. I went for their Breakfast Burrito with scrambled eggs, shredded potatoes, peppers, onions, black beans, pepper jack cheese, fresh guacamole with chipotle aioli and sour cream on the side for $12. It was offered with the same choice of home fries, hashbrowns, or tots. Added protein will cost you $2. I didn't add any protein, but I did ask for hot sauce and Dawn let me know their hot sauce is house made and has a $1 surcharge. My reasonably priced $3 iced coffee was strong and flavorful and very good. Both portions were enormous so half of each came home with us. My burrito was delicious, and that hot sauce was pretty much at the upper limit of my tolerance threshold. We were both very impressed with every aspect of our lunch at Ellie's.

Extra points for zero beef bouillon vibes, which is rarer than it should be. The fresh campanelle pasta was a great choice, but the dishes could have used a bit more sauce. As the meal went on, the pasta started to feel dry and a little lackluster. Chicken was cooked perfectly across the board, though the chicken breasts were very thick. And that's no surprise because the Noto Americano Market is a spinoff of a restaurant, namely Plantsville's Noto Americano Sicilian Kitchen. The Market has pretty much everything you need for a great meal -a big imported grocery section, prepared salads and entrees, packaged deli, a salad bar, frozen food (including big chunks of octopus), frozen sauces and soups, deli and sandwich service, cookies, pastries, and cakes, pizza, fresh eggplant and chicken cutlets, and a nice dining section to sit and mangia. We found the customer service to be excellent, and the young gent that took our order was super friendly. We went home with a Gargantuan slice of cheese pizza as big as two normal slices for $5, a big chocolate cookie ($1.50), and a frozen package of cheese ravioli ($5.99 for 12 pieces). I thought the pricing was very reasonable. We just split that big slice of pizza for dinner and enjoyed it -thin crust, plenty of cheese, plenty of sauce and overall excellence across the board. No doubt we'll sample one of their grinders next time, and you can rest assure there will be a next time. I've already got my mind set on a Pisano, with Spicy Soppressata, Mortadella, Stracciatella cheese, arugula, Tomato, and a Pistachio Pesto Sauce. Doesn't that sound amazing?

She is very passionate about the menu and is very attentive to everyone. Thankfully, as our food was served she was there to explain that the best way to experience the chef's creation is to eat it as it presented (without soy sauce) first. She went on to explain that each dish is created with specific textures and flavors in mind to create an intentional balanced bite. She is absolutely correct and I am so glad we listened. In fact, after trying the "second" bite with soy sauce, we recognized that it was much better without it. The soy sauce is homemade and delicious but the sushi is so perfectly executed, it really does not need anything at all to shine. This is not your average sushi joint.
