Bacon, egg, and cheese on a Jalapeño cheddar bagel.
Nicole M.

I had a jalepeño cheddar BEC and my partner had a SEC on an everything bagel- both were really solid. Would definitely come again to try more kinds of bagels. Service was nice and quick. The place was alot more spacious inside than I thought.

If you want a good breakfast sandwich then Fancy Bagels got it! They have varieties type of bagels from savory to sweet. My current addiction is the sweet cinnamon bagel toasted with cream cheese. I try to hit the spot every Sunday. The line can get long but the service is quick. There is a sit down area if you need eat and go do your next errand. The lady in the front and staff is always friendly and nice. She always try to remember her returning customers name which is sweet. I also love that they participate in the "Plate it Forward" for people in need.

Excellent local place to grab a quick breakfast bite or lunch! They have bagels, bagel sandwiches, wraps, coffee, and more. There is casual seating available, first come first serve. The food was ready very quickly and tasted delicious! Very reasonable pricing too.

Went to this place for breakfast and it was pretty good. We ordered two bacon egg and cheese bagels . I got mine on the cinnamon sugar bagel and it was tasty. I will say that the everything bagel was a little too salty for my liking, so I'd skip that flavor. It could've been a bit cheesier but other than that I would go back again. The service was pretty fast even though there was a line! The ambiance was great, a very family friendly establishment. I loved all the decorations on the wall.

Last Sunday, my 9 year old son and I drove 20 minutes to the Southington Fancy Bagel. The food we received was very good and I can see why people I know are big fans of Fancy. We arrived around 10 a.m. and it was very busy. Service was friendly, but I'm sure it's challenging to provide optimal service when it's that busy. I ordered a bagel sandwich for myself, a plain bagel with cream cheese and French Fries for my son, a 1/2 dozen assorted bagels and two containers of cream cheese. One person initially took my order, and then a different person rung our order. I didn't notice until after we left, but we did not get our cream cheese containers. In retrospect, I don't believe that we were charged for the cream cheese because the cost was lower than I expected. I assume there was some miscommunication between the first person and the cashier. My toasted sesame bagel sandwich with bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado and mayo was delicious. The bagel had good texture and worked well for a sandwich. The sesame seeds were on point. The bacon was ample and peak crispy. The other toppings all worked well too. I mean it's basically a BLT with avocado, so what's not to love. The menu indicated that the sandwich I ordered also came with turkey, but there was no turkey on the sandwich. The sandwich was terrific without the turkey, but that was a service miss. Later that day, I had a Fancy Everything Bagel and some cream cheese from a different place. I believe Cafe Busy Bean serves Fancy Bagels, so I've previously had a Fancy Everything Bagel. When I ate at Cafe Busy Bean, I described it as the most everything Everything Bagel ever. Still holds true. It was very good. The food that we received from Fancy was very good and in the 4.5 to 5 Star range, but I've got to deduct a point for the service misses. So I ended up at 3.5 to 4 Stars.

Run, don't walk to Fancy Bagels! These are the best bagels & bagel sandwiches we've hands down ever had. The bagels are delicious and light yet when toasted a delightful crisp! The line moved decently fast, if you can-call ahead for pick up as there is a separate line when you come in to pick up! The staff was super friendly for a busy Sunday morning and there is plenty of seating to stay and enjoy! We can't wait to come back and try out more if their specialities. Pro tip; on your breakfast sandwich add a crispy hash brown-you won't regret it!

Arriving at Fancy Bagels late morning the first thing I noticed was they had a huge selection of bagels. While deciding on my choice of bagels, there was an employee restocking freshly baked bagels. Other bagel places that I have been to late morning, you can have a hard time finding any selection at all. We tried two flavors that we never had before sweet cinnamon (which was amazing), and double cheddar. Plus a old favorite cinnamon raisin.Their bagels are simply delicious. We will definitely be returning.

It's the best bagels in the area! May not be as good as New York, but top notch for CT!

Our sports-loving older kids were immediately drawn in by the variety of sports playing on the big screens while the 70s music created a fun, nostalgic vibe that we really enjoyed. Our waitress, Megan was friendly, attentive and handled our group's varied requests with ease. The food didn't disappoint--especially the ribs, which were incredibly tender and literally fell off the bone. Great menu choices for the kids and all came with ice cream and chocolate sauce. One standout was the kid's macaroni and cheese-- it was clearly homemade and not the typical box version you often see on kid's menus at other restaurants. We'll definitely return when we're in the area. Check out their specials. We visited on a Sunday around 5 PM and only realized when the check arrived that kids eat free that day. That was a great bonus.

I had one of the nicest salads with perfectly grilled chicken and a cumin-citrus dressing. He had a terrific burger- one of the best. We couldn't eat everything, so we brought the rest with us for later. Service was great, atmosphere was nice, especially during FIFA World Cup in the air and on their TV's. Soon we were on the road again, but we now know the perfect place to stop on our next trip north!

A friend of mine and I went to Craft Kitchen for lunch on this Thursday…read more There was plenty of parking to the right of the restaurant, and the side entrance was right there. As I walked through the front doors, I noticed kegs alongside on the floor. This was kind of a turn off, kind of reminds me of a dive bar. So my mentality kicked in that we were going into a dive bar serving food. I kinda get the sketchy feeling. Once we were seated, and menus placed, we were served iced water A few minutes later, the server came back and took our order. My friend ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and some string french fries. I ordered the 1/2 smoked chicken, which came with two sides. I chose the rattlesnake beans and the creamy macaroni and cheese. Also include included was cornbread I originally wanted the street corn, as a side, but it was not available. Our lunches came quick, and my friend only ate half the french fries and cheeseburger, as she wasn't really turned on by them. The smoked chicken was fairly dry, with a very interesting smoked flavor to it that I can't put my finger on. I eat about 1/3 of it. Left the rest on the plate. The creamy macaroni and cheese was out of bounds top-notch. I could've eaten this all day. The rattlesnake rice and beans were just OK. The rice was cooked pretty good, and was seasoned well. The beans had a weird taste. Now thinking of this side dish, I was hoping for raw onions to be on top, but they were nowhere to be found. It'll be nice if there was chopped raw onions to go with this. The cornbread was delicious. I ate about half of it. It was a generous slice. While the server was fairly attentive, as she only checked in to fill the water glasses and ask how lunch was. She didn't ask us if we wanted a desert or coffee. Being old folks this would've been a great up for us, but it didn't happen. I had to ask for the check. I'm not sure if I would come back. I think this might be a one and done. The vibe just didn't hit it for me. Restrooms were clean. The restaurant was clean; the silverware clean. I don't know. It just was like a funky type layout and those beer kegs kinda sent the wrong tone to me as a guest. Lunch for the two of us was $40 and change and I left a $10 tip. We didn't have any cocktails or mock tails, we didn't have coffee or dessert either. From what I understand, the owner was near the exit when we left, not even a smile or a thank you for coming in...

Crispy on the outside, packed with well-seasoned chicken inside. Good spice, not overpowering. Came with a salsa and a ketchup-mayo style sauce, both worked, but the salsa had a little more life to it. Before that, warm ciabatta hit the table with a house-made dipping sauce. Oil-based with garlic, blue cheese, and a few other layers going on. The blue cheese gave it a subtle kick without taking over. Nice way to start. Now to the burger, the Luger Burger. I'm assuming it's a nod to the classic steakhouse, but didn't get full confirmation. The sauce is made in-house: slightly sweet, a little acidic (I picked up balsamic), smooth texture. It's a good sauce, it just needed a bigger voice on this burger. The burger itself is large. And I mean large. Menu said thick-cut bacon... that wasn't the case. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. Now I'm going to get a little critical, because this is where it matters. The burger needed more salt. There's a lot of beef here, and it can absolutely handle it. Even something as simple as salting the tomato would've helped bring things together. If the bacon had actually been thick-cut, that alone might've bridged the gap. This was a very beef-forward burger, to the point where the supporting flavors barely showed up. The patty felt a bit too tightly packed, which gave it a denser bite and let the beef dominate the whole experience. A looser grind or lighter hand forming it would've made it more tender and allowed everything else to come through. It also needed more acid. The Luger sauce was applied lightly, so either lean into it more or bring in something else, a pickle, a sharper onion, something to cut through the richness and balance it out. The bun was soft, nicely toasted, and held up well, which isn't easy with a burger this size. Fries were hand-cut, properly salted, and exactly what you want. No complaints there. Overall, this is a great spot. Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated. Staff was excellent. Food was good, with flashes of being really good. With a few small tweaks, mainly balance and execution on the burger, this could easily jump to the next level.
