1 1/2 stars only because they're fast during their rush, and staff was friendly. Their bagels were disappointing, to say the least. They were pale in color. We got a half dozen - 2 chocolate chip, 1 blueberry, 1 Asiago, and 2 plain. One CC bagel has only 2 chips, and the other 4 (see video and picture). I love blueberry bagels, and pretty much everywhere I go, you see blueberries throughout, and the color of the bagel itself is a lot darker than what we received. There were only tiny specks in these bagels. Disappointing. There was no chew, and they were kinda dense. If you want fantastic bagels, go to Chefs in Cheshire, or Olmo in New Haven. read more

Pros: Excellent tasting bagels, great variety, friendly service, and very reasonable prices compared to surrounding shops. Cons: They're a small shop with limited staff and can get very busy. They make everything fresh to order, which is awesome. But if there's any sort of line, unless you have the time to wait, I would just skip it. Even with just a couple people ahead of you, you can wait upwards of twenty minutes between waiting in line, ordering, waiting for your food, paying and leaving. I always scope out the parking lot before I pull in and will keep driving if I see a bunch of cars. I do love to stop there when I can, though. read more

I get there at 1230 on a Saturday, doors and online says they are open until 1pm and the doors are locked, but also say open until 1pm, and chairs are on tables. so not only are they closed on Sundays but they close early on Saturdays. Extremely annoying and frustrating. If you're not gonna stay open for your hours of operation, change your hours before people get in their cars and go there to be disappointed. read more

I knew I was passing through plainville and had to stop here! I was craving a bacon egg and cheese and this place always hits the spot! The bagels are always so fresh and so good and they always make the bacon crispy it's always delicious! Leah is usually the one that takes my order when I've been here in the past and she's always very kind and always has good customer service! Very good service, people were nice and friendly. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend this place.

Last week both of the bagels we ordered had bacon on them, never said bacon because both my husband and I are vegetarians. This week I ordered the simplest bagel ever - an everything, toasted extra with butter, I don't think it was toasted and what appears to be "fake" butter didnt even melt just gobbed on top. I didn't bother going back in but for me two. strikes and your out. I was a very regular customer and didn't have the issue with the last owners. Hopefully others are having a better experience but I'm not throwing away time and money. read more

Was looking for fresh bagels this am and apparently so was everyone else in town! Ever have a bagel so fresh it doesn't need to be toasted, we'll that's here! We grabbed 1/2 dozen bagels, mixed, garlic and herb cream cheese, and a half pint of chicken salad. We had a couple not toasted and tore them to sip in the whipped cream cheese. We toasted a couple later in the day to make a few sandwiches out of! This place was packed, I recommend calling ahead, the customer area is tiny and does move somewhat quick depending on the orders, grilled items take a while as they have a small grill apparently (overheard to a guest waiting). Our stuff was cold so we got in/out quickly! Chicken salad was good, I added some hot sauce and gave it a kick on an onion bagel!! read more

I've tried most of the local bagel spots and this my favorite. The bagels are made in house and always fresh. The cream cheese flavors are all excellent especially the jalapeño. Let me start by saying "thank-you" and them say "this is my new go to place for a bagel". We hosted a family event and needed bagels, lot of bagels. Did not know where to go, and it was suggested these folks could help. And they did. From the moment we first walked in, to visiting for lunch, coming back to order the theme was always the same "we will take care of you". And they did. We ordered a lot of bagels, the plain was chewy soft deliscous, the raisen bagel sweet ( and I took some and saved for me for later) and they everything bagels, well I have no idea because they were all gone before I got to one!. Where do you go if you are in Plainville and looking for some bagels? Well, Bagels Plus is probably a pretty safe bet. I stopped here last weekend before meeting up with my family because homemade eggs were not what I was looking for. This place was pretty packed when I pulled in but the line went rather quickly. I ended up settling on a cheese bagel and a chocolate chip bagel (only had one for breakfast, the other was for the long ride back to Buffalo). The staff was friendly and the whole process went much quicker then I would of expected seeing as how busy they were. The bagels themselves were pretty good as well. I ate the chocolate chip one fresh and it satisfied both my hunger and love of anything chocolate chip. Overall, this standard bagel shop will do you justice if you are looking for something quick and easy. On top of bagels they also offer sandwiches which I sadly did not have time for. Best Service!! Got there 5-10 min before close. Still had a wide range to select from. These were not "sitting around all day stale" bagels -- and if they were sitting around all day, hot damn! Crusty. Chewy. Perfect. There's a spot Omega in Brooklyn that makes the works best Bagel and every mile you get away from there the quality decrease a tiny amount (until your far away and that tiny amount has added up). This was a 5 Boroughs quality bagel. Pumpernickel was so good shared a piece with people not pumpernickel fans, and they were wowed. Proceed to them that pumpernickel actually is a great flavor. Egg bagel tells You it's real bagel shop. If you don't have egg you know it ain't for real. And the Egg bagel was $$. Quintessential Mom and Pop type shop. Threw in a couple extra plain on the dozen "just because". Didn't even order a plain because who does? Again surprised. One of the best plain bagels ever had. Lot of flavor. Recommend it? Yah. Super disappointed. This is my first time here. I was excited to come because I love bagels and this place has really good reviews but would definitely never come back. I ordered a sandwich a few bagels and I'll admit the food was good. The customer service on the hand is Awful. At any given time there were 4 people chatting about their personal lives while we were waiting in line. I saw 2 employees handle food without gloves and one woman touched her hair before touching the food. The counters were dirty. Get ready to open wide because their bagels are huge!!! My husband and i came here for breakfast and it was packed. The line moved quickly though so don't let that discourage you when coming in. They had tons of bagels still available at 10am. The woman who took our order and rang us out was very professional. I've been coming here for a while & the bagels are very good, however it's always so busy and each time I go I'm not sure if my bagel will be made right or not. My order is only made right 50% of the time and it's honestly not worth the wait. You have to order on the phone if you want to be in there for less than 15-20 mins. They have every imaginable bagel flavor and cream cheese flavor (peanut butter? chocolate? really, at that point i'd probably go direct and skip the cream cheese delivery system :) I rented cars next door at Hertz, so I would stop here and get my standard bacon, egg and cheese on a roll with a large coffee.
