Over 6 bucks for a drink and I can't even get a full cup. This place has gone seriously downhill with the staff and the quality of the beverages. COVID is no longer an excuse, get your act together and retrain your staff.

Gotta love those red cups :)

This Starbucks has been my jam the past few weeks. I started coming here at lunch because a few days a week I work at one place in the morning, then drive to my second spot in the afternoon, and it just so happens to be down the street from this Starbucks :) The people are friendly, they haven't messed up my order yet, and I can usually find somewhere to sit to have my lunch. The dropped star is just because this plaza where the Starbucks is has a horrible layout and people are insane when they drive. There's more than enough parking for Starbucks...but I just have to be ready for battle when driving through.

Came with a bud to take break. Got a breakfast sandwich and sat down at a dirty table. Looked around at the other tables and most were in need of cleaning. My sandwich was decent but needed salt and pepper which I couldn't find at the counter where you make your coffee. The girl behind the counter was pleasant and my sandwich came out quickly.

Bad service, expensive, and tasted like it had been burnt and left out for hours and I love dark coffee.

For coffee, I got the nitro cold brew with their seasonal cold foam, which was blackberry flavored. It was tasty but the ratio of coffee to foam was a bit off, with only about half the cup filled with coffee and the rest foam. You can either order at the counter and seat yourself in the little cafe area, or sit in the restaurant for full service. I'd definitely return if I was in the area.

I actually had no idea this was also a tavern/bar. The Plainville location of Rebel Dog was very busy today, they had trivia going on. I first got their Salted Caramel Toffee Latte. This was as expected pretty sweet, but still solid. We got the garlic flatbread to share. This garlic bread was very pouffy and cheesy, but it lacked garlic. The arugula salad was very light and fresh, it had crispy almonds and chickpeas all over. I got the Winter Chili Grain Bowl. This was very satisfying on a winter day. The chili was tender and offered just a bit of heat. The corn on it was crunchy, there was a small scoop of a grainy salad and some fresh avocado. Overall we were all satisfied with our visit at Rebel Dog. I thought it was a bit odd that they close at 4:00 o'clock everyday.

Also had an avocado toast. Decent, added on tomatoes and pickled onions (both $0.75 additional each). The description said that the base (original total $9) for the build your own avocado toast had olive oil and lime on it but I honestly could not taste either. Not sure if they didn't add it or if it may have been mixed in with the mashed up avocado? If so I think it would be better if added on top. Had to put more salt and pepper on it but at least they had packets available to do so. Overall not bad but kinda overpriced (for example they had potato pancakes for $2.75/each?? And additional $1 for apple sauce and another $1 for sour cream? I think it would be better to have 3 pancakes with the add ons for all one charge). Service was good, basic cashier set up you pay before you eat, they serve your food to you w table numbers if you eat in and call out your name for drinks.

Hot tramp, I love you so" (David Bowie) After a morning appointment in Farmington, we were both in the mood to stop somewhere for breakfast. That gave us the perfect opportunity to stop at a place we've driven by a zillion times. Rebel Dog Coffee's area shops have been on our radar for years, and yesterday we finally checked their Farmington location. It's in a strip mall shopping plaza right next to a Nardelli's more or less where Route 6 crosses Fienneman Road/Birdseye Road. Their Dog Pack has four Rebel Dog members spread out around the Greater Hartford area and some of their coffees can be found in local supermarkets. Their Farmington store is very large and comfortable, with plenty of space between the customer tables. The dining room was fairly crowded when we arrived, with people socializing and banging away on their laptops. Rebel Dog has a very deep offering of coffee drinks and food choices, Want a coffee? Well, you best be ready to choose among single or double espressos (with or without foam of whipped cream or steamed milk, lattes. Cappuccinos, mochas, and Americanos, light-dark-or decaf drip coffees, French Press, Pour Overs, teas, jot chocolates and a ton more. You can even get a growler of coffee, tea, or kombucha. I never saw that before. Now, what good is a morning coffee without something to munch alongside it? No worries, because the Dog has you covered with everything from "Build Your Own" breakfast sandwiches, six egg Benedicts, oatmeal, yogurt & granola, fruit cups, and pastries. If you arrive later in the day, your options might include soups, salads, sandwiches, grilled cheese and burgers. Our breakfast order was a cup of their Steady Habits light house blend (a medium-light roast, smooth and sweet with notes of roasted nuts, fig, and caramel), a cup of their Big Red Truck Dark Roast (a blend of both washed process and natural process Colombian coffees for a rich and layered coffee with notes of dark chocolate, crème brûlée, and warm spices), a "build Your Own" Breakfast Bagel Sandwich and an order of Avocado Toast. With tax and tip, everything totaled under $25. The sandwich we built contained ham and an egg on an Everything Bagel and we had zero complaints about it. My Avocado Toast (no added egg or protein) was wonderful. It was a thick slice of homemade multigrain bread topped with a very generous blanket of smashed avocado. We could not have been happier with our first encounter with a Rebel Dog.

Both coffees cost a total of $10 and change plus a 20% tip. So I'm thinking it was $13. A little pricey, but all was good. I'm just not a big fan of this cashing out with the tip percentage staring you straight in the face on the checkout screen. The interior of the building was clean and welcoming. I didn't like sitting in the booth style seating across a table from my friend who was seated in a regular chair and seemed to be sitting way lower than me. It was a little wonky. The barista was personable, not overly friendly, but OK. So all in all, it's a nice place for coffee. There is no drive-through, and they do take Apple Pay. Clean restrooms and easy parking
