It is rare to find a walk-up window for any coffee shop and I've only seen one other coffee shop in Manhattan with this option, but it is something I wish I saw more of. I got a cold brew (black) and it was delicious, not too acidic, and had a nice well-rounded coffee taste. Also, the staff was friendly and quick, so overall a good experience and I do want to come back for the food next time.

Staff is super nice and we could have spent more than 2 hrs in there just relaxing and catching up. I look forward to going back there. Found this well reviewed shop close by, so we dropped in. The inside is very sparse, lots of stuff strewn around. It was lacking a lot of polish, but it didn't seem too sketchy. We ordered from the nice lady an order of dumplings, pirogies, and a couple of bao buns. Price was good, and food took about 15 minutes to cook but we did some trekking locally to waste time, We got our food, took some pics and dug in. The pirogies were for me, and I must say that they were not pirogies. It was mashed potatoes with cheese in a dumpling wrapper. The dumpling wrappers were fresh, but the dough was not what I expected. The potato and cheese was pretty good though. Didn't use a farmers cheese but did some type of white cheese. The bao were generic. They used the same filling as the dumplings as the bao filling. It really needed a sauce inside to help differentiate it from the dumplings. We also got a black sesame bao, but the inside was very watery and not appetizing at all. So we threw that one away. The owner is a very nice lady, and she's working hard to keep her place busy. It's clear that the stresses of the day keep her strained, but she does mean well enough. For those in the area, it's not a drive to destination. It's pretty good dumplings in a run down shop with an owner fighting to stay afloat. I would recommend going here if you want to support local, and don't mind a bit of grit. The dumplings are fresh, the pirogies are interesting renditions, and they do boba tea.

So being in the area, decided to come here and pick up some donuts for the ride home. We got here late in the day, and they were out of almost everything when I got there. I managed to get a churro and matcha donut. I then saw they did a Dubai chocolate strawberry cup, and had to give that a try as well ( they only do the cup on the weekends) The donuts were very fresh, light and chewy. They are high in price but much better in quality compared to other places I've tried. The Dubai strawberry cup had a kind of weak chocolate sauce over them. Not the cheapest stuff on the market, but not strong or mellow like the expensive chocolates. The strawberries were fresh, and the Dubai part needed a little salt to counteract the sweet and enhance the earthy. Inside is well decorated but dirty. All the tables were dirty, there's lots of dust and other ditritus when I was waiting for my dessert. It was end of day, so I get why they would not be fully clean. But there's some repairs that need to get done and there's cracks in the facade. Despite the lack of donuts, the quality was good and the Dubai strawberries were a nice sweet treat. This is a good place to get some interesting food items or sweet treats. Not a trek worthy spot, but good if you're around

I was then given ice and could make my coffee at the counter. I wouldn't come here for the coffee though I brought home a French toast bagel with cannoli cream cheese. They have a huge menu of specialty coffees, hot chocolates and teas. Additionally, they also offer special cocktails. My friend arrived first she got Kevin's Not Here hot chocolate, this is a nod to Kevin from Home Alone. I arrived shortly after, I tried to order my coffee for a while. While they were busy, I felt like I was purposefully being ignored, no matter how many times I pointed to the menu and said "excuse me?". I was sitting right at the front where most of the commotion was. My friend had to raise her hand all the way up, like we had something to say in school. I guess that's the way to get their attention. I eventually got the Cannoli Cold Brew. Both of our drinks were very good. Kevin's Not Here is a white mocha base with eggnog and gingerbread syrup. This was very sweet, I could for sure taste the gingerbread. The Cannoli Cold Brew was another great choice, it tasted like what it sounds, it wasn't overly sweet. They offer a variety of fun flights at Yellow King, from coffee, to hot chocolate to cocktails.
