On a beautiful Friday morning I arrived at Panera to once again see the same blank faced girl at the front counter. She never speaks to you, just abrupt " What can I get you". I decided I was going to make her say good morning, I very cheerfully said "Good Morning how are you today?" She gave me this look and said " Fine what can I get you". She is so rude it is unreal, what a way to start the day! As I finish my one sided conversation with her I was on my way over to the coffee and the lady who does the drive-thru was there to get some coffee as well, I waited thinking she was going to get her coffee for the drive thru people, instead she says very hatefully " Go ahead". There has only been a handful of people that have worked here that were so nice it was a pleasure to come here. NOT ANYMORE! The Murfreesboro store is great! they are always so nice and pleasant!!! Much as I love Panera tonight will be my last night doing business with this location!! My order was placed online for a WHOLE Caesar Chicken salad and when I returned home it was no where near a whole salad it was more like less of a salad without crotons and the roll of bread that normally comes with the salad well they ran out and gave me regular white bread!! I've had bad experiences with the drive thru as well!!! #DONE read more

I love Panera but this location just can't get it right. I've been there a few times and the food is never fresh. I got a soufflé for breakfast once and it was dry and tasted like it was old. Once I got a Greek salad and it was not fresh and it didn't have any olives. Today I got a fudge brownie and the middle was not baked completely, and it had a hair on it. The drive thru takes FOREVER! I will never go back to this location. read more

So I must start this off by saying I love Panera, everyone who knows me knows this. However today i was extremely let down. As I have been pescatarian now for several months I ordered my Green Goddess salad as I always do with no chicken and bacon. Today when i got my order it had both although it was plainly on the order to make it without. Ok luckily today I'm not in a hurry so when they tell me they will make it again it's no problem. After getting my newly made salad and getting about halfway thru I noticed i was chewing something crunchy, as nothing crunchy should have been in my salad i took it out of my moth only to realize that it was bacon. At this point i dig around a little more only to determine more chicken and bacon at the bottom. Being someone with a food allergy (shellfish) this is incredibly disturbing to me. Obviously I'm not allergic to either chicken or pork but the staff at Panera did not know that. Nonetheless that does not make lite of my dietary restrictions. So I write this so that others can be aware that you can't be trusting when you order your food here. No I wonder how many times did they give me cows milk instead of almond milk in my latte. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Went through drive-thru, the girls were cracking up and can not get your order the first few times after repeating it due to cutting up and not doing their job. THEN was over charged. Called the manager (Jerry). Didn't even care to help me. Didn't even go out of his way to get my ticket number to research the issue until I offered to give him my ticket number. What happened to taking care of your customers? We just ordered takeout from Panera bread on Sam Ridley Blvd in Smyrna, TN. The cheap white bread on my daughter's sandwich was so wet it fell apart. On my 1/2 steak and white cheddar panini the cheese has been burnt to the outside of the bread and there is maybe one ounce of steak (it is the size of my thumb). The 1/2 serving of French onion soup has no bread and cheese on top. My meal alone cost $12. My husband's sandwich was stuck to his container. It's so hard to find healthy food choices around here, I thought I was providing a nice healthy meal for my family. Never again! read more

Stopped for breakfast on the way out of town after being on vacation in Tennessee, and saw multiple people complain about their orders being incorrect or incomplete. One of the ladies working suggest a refund to a man waiting to have his order fixed because he had been waiting forever, and to top it all off the place was filthy which was odd to me since it hadn't been long since the restaurant had been open that day. Was traveling to the area for the holidays and stopped with my family for a meal. Older lady at the counter kept asking us to repeat our order and never got it right taking forever then finally getting a manager to help. I could not believe the prices for cold sandwiches and luke-warm soup! Dining room was dirty with dishes everywhere and when we thought we had found a place to sit my son sat in spilled soup. A terrible Panera location. Went inside for the first time yesterday and not only was the girl completely disinterested in taking our order, but she got the simplest parts of it completely wrong..I had asked for my portion to go, and my mother asked for a half of a sandwich and got a full one instead (she wasn't hungry enough for the full.) My sandwich, which was supposed to be warm was cold, as well as my side piece of french baguette. Not just room temperature but like out of the refridgerator cold, took the entire sandwich home to heat it up because the meat and bread was SO cold. Had to go boxes literally thrown at me from the other side of the counter by the overwhelmed kitchen staff, though there was a maximum of 15 people in the dining area. Saw the manager come out to try to resolve an issue with another table, and my relief was short-lived as I saw him roll his eyes as he walked away from the still unsatisfied guests. The entire staff clearly is not happy working there, and that definitely shows when you see that kind of behavior coming from someone who is supposed to be setting an example. this is just overall a horrible situation, corporate should do something about this! Was so excited to hear about a drive thru Panera as I am always on the go, but this one needs some MAJOR improvements. Must say however that I have had much better experiences going through the drive thru, though not perfect it has been nothing like I experienced going inside. Just awful. read more

As I sat waiting to pick up my Asiago Steak sandwich at this restaurant I could overhear the staff discussing "a slicer or something" they didn't have to fill an order. I then heard a man tell them to substitute it with "something" else and then say they won't know the difference. When I arrived home I figured out it was related to the bread for my sandwich as I didn't have the Asiago bread but regularly country bread. If someone had explained the situation to me it would not have been a problem. How unprofessional? I won't be back. read more

I love Panera! Especially their green tea! I agree that this location needs to reevaluate their employees. They are not in any way professional. I have had a lot of negative experiences via drive thru! I am also vegetarian and they always put chicken on my salad even if I stress it a zillion times. I walked into the store and found they had 6 large bags of great looking food they were about to send to the needy/homeless. When I got my order of food the portions were so small I couldn't believe my eyes. They should have a sign on the door stating that paying customers receive minimal portions but the poor can get an all you can eat buffet for free. read more

So the food is good, it's Panera after all. But the drive through is constantly screwing up my orders. I had previously given up on this location after getting a cappuccino on my way to school and getting a cup full of hot, sweet white milk. Absolutely no espresso in the drink. Twice this happened! Which is a crime as far as I'm concerned at 7 am. So now I work near by the location and occasionally get some food for lunch. So I order one bakery item, I'm told they are out; ok fine. So I ask for another, and again they are out. So that's kind of bull. Then I go about my day, work 12 hours to finally eat my delicious salad that I also ordered and come to find when I open it, it's the wrong salad. Plus it has olives which I am allergic so I can't even eat my lunch. So IF you do eat at this Panera, go inside and make sure they got your damn order right. The Sbux is down for 2 weeks for a much-needed overhaul so it's either here or Dunkin....which does have a Boston Crème that beckons me. I agree with other reviewers that this place is generally understaffed...at least early in the morning when I've gone. The people in the kitchen were quick and efficient and the breakfast sandwiches were fine if not awesome. With usually just one person at the counter doing multiple duties of restocking coffee or taking a carryout bag to customer you may have to wait when there's relatively few customers in the store. One day an employee brought out a new decanter of dark roast (usually what I drink) and when I poured a small sample into my cup it was clearly warm and not hot with a bitter taste. How does that happen if it's freshly made? I've also chosen other blends with time-markings on them of less than 15 minutes and they were also clearly not fresh. Something wrong here for sure. Let's just say I'll be happy when Sbux is back up and running . I also find the music here very bland and listless. The décor is rather strange in that it's a mish-mash of paneled walls...painted walls...varied upholstery , etc. The artwork is amusing...in a funny-ha-ha way. The largest painting is of a loaf of bread hovering over a field of tall grass with a pat of butter at the bottom....maybe it's the Mothership waiting to beam up the butter ????? My servers have all been very gracious and friendly ...particularly the kitchen staff ....but this place just has a weird vibe. If you want relative quiet I guess it's a good place as you can find your own little nook to do your emails or work. I have personally been an extremely loyal Panera Bread customer as well as utilizing their Catering services at my place of business for large and small orders for our guests. I utilize the catering enough that I had a $20 credit to put toward my order. Yesterday I ordered 8 boxed lunch sandwiches to be delivered through catering online. While this was a small order compared to most of our orders, it was important. After processing my order online (with delivery fee, with 20% gratuity), getting a confirmation, I get an call from Panera Bread stating that they are unable to complete my order because they are running low on food and need their inventory for the guests who may visit the dining room. So with money already processed including fees from a loyal customer (bird in the hand here!) this particular Panera decided to take a chance on who would come in the diningroom with money to order and refund our purchase. Our guests we ordered lunch for were from our corporate location, and when I had to change these plans, they were not happy. Needless to say our corporation (with several locations) will not be ordering from Panera again. Ever. Our loyalty as a customer was not appreciated at all. As someone who has worked in Management for a number of years, this was an outrage in my opinion and the complete opposite of customer service. I even offered to come pick up the sandwiches and was told no. Do yourself a favor and do not visit this location. I am going to spread the word as much as possible about the unreliability of this establishment and what they are doing to the Panera name. What an embarassment! read more
