Did a yelp search for breakfast diners and this one came up. I wanted a good old fashioned diner experience. I walked in from the cold and was greeted by the friendly and attentive staff. Was seated immediately. I got the waffle platter. The food was prepared quickly and brought out in segments. They explained the waffle would be out shortly but they put the other plate out. The food was standard fare but the waffle really had a good taste to it, and the butter and syrup was very good. All throughout the staff checked up on me and I was very pleased with the attentiveness. It seems like this is a locally owned place and independent. If you are in the area definitely stop by and support them. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. I would try them again for their lunch and dinner options. read more

Decent food, friendly service, but not good for gluten free. Had lunch while I was in Smyrna for work several weeks ago. The owner and his wife greeted us, took our orders, he cooked the food, and worked the register when we were leaving. The food was okay. I had a blue cheese burger which was pretty good. I would not, however, recommend this to anyone seeking a gluten free meal. I was able to make it work, but not necessarily a wise decision if you have an allergy. For instance, the owner swore to me that no seasoning ever have gluten in them (which is not true). I might go back, but maybe not. read more

I'm in the neighborhood often for work and stopped in once before. I had a similar experience the first time I visited and consistency is so rare. I was greeted by the owners and made to feel welcome. We had some small talk, he took my order, and my food came out quickly. I got the biscuits and gravy with some eggs. We found this restaurant via Yelp and opted to check it out. We like local eateries and this one was highly recommended and very local. The restaurant itself is immaculate and obviously well cared for. There is a light classical music playing in the background I very much enjoyed. The waitress was friendly and fast. We ordered chicken and waffles, pancakes and biscuits and gravy. The food came out fast and was hot and well prepared. The chicken and waffles was especially good. The man that brought us the check was extremely pleasant. He is Egyptian and very outgoing. He is very obviously proud of his business and he should be. This was our first visit and the food tasted great. It was around 4:30pm and between the lunch and dinner rush so we actually had the whole place to ourselves. The owner was very helpful offering us his recommendations and everything we had was very good. I had one of their signature dishes, the meatloaf, with excellent mashed potatoes and green beans.
