When this location opened it was my first experience with Whataburger. I've since eaten here about three or four times and each time has been a disappointment. I don't care how much bigger your burgers are if they're frozen patties. The onion rings come frozen in a bag. As I suspect most of the food here does. Everything about this place is terrible. The kids that act like you're from fucking Mars when you ask them to alter anything on your burger, and then it takes what seems like a fortnight to get a substandard meal. I can't speak for other locations, but whoever owns this franchise get your shit together. You're embarrassing the brand I'm sure. I make a better hamburger than more than half the fast food joints in town. Shout out to Karin's Kustard and Floyd's Burger joint for holding it down with some of the best smashburgers around. We love Whataburger and we have tried many locations. This one was great. It was easy to get to and our wait for our food was only a few minutes. The service was great and helpful in getting us extra condiments after we forgot to originally ask for them. Overall, a great and easy stop in Smyrna. read more

Whatburger, should change its name to WAITaburger. We pulled up and waited almost five minutes to have the drive thru start the order. We were the "hold on a second"ed l, another wait. We did place our order and proceeded to wait another fifteen minutes with only one car in front of us. The food was ok, but the dang fries were cold. So if it's two different locations and both the quality and service suck than it must be part of their culture. This chain is probably one of the worst I've seen in some time. The fries were delicious . the service was pretty good you order from the kiosk so it's not very personal anymore but it seems like a lot of restaurants are doing that. Restaurant was nice and clean I did not check out the restroom. Burgers are good! Staff is very friendly. However the inside isn't open yet. I think because it's so new and crowd rush is large they get orders mixed up. I would recommend this place but check your order before leaving you have a huge chance of your order being mixed up and receiving something you may or may not have ordered. Here's my overall experience in Whataburger. Whataburger is one of my favorite restaurants, and the food is absolutely amazing! Every item I've tried has been delicious and satisfying. The people were happy, and the floors and tables were clean, which added to the positive experience. However, the service can be slow due to a shortage of staff, which means there are often many people waiting for their food. Despite my impatience after waiting 20 minutes, the food was well worth it. They did get one item of my order wrong, but overall, it was still an amazing experience. This is the 5th time I have tried this spot. I have yet to get any order I have ever placed at this location right. Whataburger as a whole is great, I really do enjoy it. This exact location is the worst you can possibly find. My entire order is wrong every single time I go here. I ordered a number 2 and added cheese with bacon. I got a single burger with no cheese, no bacon, no ketchup no mustard. In that same order I asked for large fry, got a small. I also asked for a Dr Pepper milkshake and got vanilla. I get people make mistakes, but absolutely every single time I come here this happens. Customer service is good, the brand itself is great. But how can we mess it up all the time. Do their employees know how to read??? Every time I order an Unsweet (no matter the Whataburger) the give me Sweet Tea, which I can't drink because I am Diabetic. Also, giving me a less than half full container of medium onion rings is not acceptable. I'm about done with this business. While I like their food, their excessive wait times and the lack of care to get the orders right is mind boggling. Corporate needs to stop ignoring their many twitter complaints and get to fixing their company, before they start loosing business all together. I really wanted to like this place. The restaurant was clean and modern. However, it took at least 15 minutes just to get a hamburger and fries. When I received the food, it was not very hot. The fries were chewy. Quite a bit of a staff appeared to be on break. One of the staff members, who might be the manager, was asleep on a table. What's wrong with the What a Burger in Smyrna?????? I'm half Texan and I was so excited to have a What A burger come to Smyrna. I tried them when they 1st opened. The food was expensive, but good. The wait times were insane !!!!!!! I havent been there in several months . I decided to see how things were now. There were 4 cars in front of me and one behind when I got there. ( drive thru) i thought about making a 2nd line but just pulled in as number 4 in the 1st line. We were sitting there and after 8 minutes, one car in front of me moved to the 2nd line. Everyone sat for 4 more minutes. No one was moving. A car in front of me and one behind me got out of line and left. Finally the lead car pulls forward. Now im 2nd in line to order. We wait some more. The car in the 2nd line, pulls forward. I thought he ordered. No, he just drove around to get back in my line. Finally the car in front of me gets to order and she pulls up. The 1st car was still waiting at the pick up window. Im at the speaker ready to order. And we wait. A car pulls up to the 2nd line speaker. I rolled down my window to tell them that no one is waiting on that line? He thanked me and got in the back of my line. Someone inside must have heard me because he quit laughing and took my order???? $20.37 for 2 cheeseburgers , 1 med fries and 1 med onion rings??? No drinks. The 1st guy was still at the pick up window???? Finally he gets 2 big bags of food. The car in front of me got her food not long after she pulled up to the window. Finally my turn. And we wait some more. I could see at least 8 employees inside. Something was going on because they kept high five if each other. The young man took my money and confirmed that i didnt want any drinks. The line behind me had grown by now. At least 5 cars long. The employee's kept bringing drinks up to the window. Usually if there's a hold up on an item, they ask you to pull up. Not today, we just all waited. Several employees stuck their heads out the window to see how many cars were in line??? Finally after waiting 32 minutes my order was handed to me. I pulled up and checked it before i pulled away. The order seemed correct. I live about 8 minutes from the restaurant and wrapped the order up in an insulated wrap to keep it warm. Got home, burgers warm but just dried out and no flavor to the meat. The fries and onion rings were cold. I WILL NEVER BE BACK. Sonic is by far a better value and i have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my order even when they are busy. read more

I like the burgers and shakes but unless you like waiting in line forever do not go there!! I have only been there 3 times since it opened and every time it took them forever to get me my food. The staff was friendly. The restrooms were clean. However, our dinning experience was a disaster . Four out of 5 of our sandwich were not made correctly. Our children have allergies to mustard, we requested no mustard, 2 of our hambergers did have mustard. I ordered a chicken salad, and was served a chicken sandwich. One of the burgers was ordered stated, it came with a bun and only meat. The staff was kind and upon presenting recites , orders were corrected. It took over 30 minutes to get things corrected. As with any new restaurant, it is popular and there are long lines in the drive though currently. It will get better with time. The lobby is not open yet to the public. However, I felt that it was worth the wait. It is the best fast food burger I've had. The burger patty is not over seasoned like Freddy's (too salty yuck!) and the fries are tasty. This is my fourth visit since they opened several months ago, and the first visit in several weeks, and they appear to have gotten the opening kinks in my first three visits worked out. I rated them two stars for my last visit, and I'll give the five stars for the improvement. I was greeted fairly promptly and in a friendly manner. I ordered online and though I had to wait for a few minutes after my order was scheduled to be ready, it was for a fresh order of fries, so bonus for me I guess. Once I got my food and pulled off we started to eat. It was cold and half raw. You would think after waiting that long that it would be fresh and done! 21 bucks later we are still hungry and now ticked off. I called the restaurant and was told the reason for the wait and the poor quality of the food was due to it being shift change. This was my first and last time to go to Whataburger. We waited in line for an hour. Only for them to mess up the order of the car in front of us twice. Once you get to a certain point in the line, you're trapped and have to wait until it's your turn to order. Through the window it looks like everyone is running around without any purpose or know what's going on. The poor girl running the food is getting the brunt of everybody's frustrations.
