Its been a while since I've been to a Panera Bread but I noticed that their slogan is "our food is clean". As opposed to what, dirty? I'm assuming they're referring to the food being somewhat better for you than other places. I had a steak and egg sandwich which was good but the meat was in one big slice and was hard to chew through. It was on the rare side too because it was still bleeding. Practically everyone was drinking coffee but the staff were a bit slow on refilling the pots. My companion had a couple of pastries and with the coffee and sandwich, the bill was about $20. As someone with a serious addiction to salads, sandwiches, and fresh bread, I spend a large chunk of my yearly salary at this particular location. I have a strong suspicion that the employees have been trained to manipulate addicts like me into purchasing add ons including but not limited to: various delicious pastries, bread that they will slice for you right before your eyes, and meals to take home. The crunchiness of the baguettes compliment the soft decadent interior in such a way that I have often been found, in bed, snacking on baguette slices like a dirty sewer rat. The store was clean and the service was as expected. My grilled cheese sandwich with bacon was okay but I was expecting a couple of strips not a light sprinkle of bacon crumbs. I wish they made grilled cheese sandwiches the regular way. I think it was made on a panini type machine. But I was hungry and it hit the spot. The Tomato soup was delish. Very flavorful. read more

This is my second review in the last 6 years. But.... This is the second time I've come in the last 24 hours. (Last night)After a 30 minute wait with almost no customers in sight my chicken tortellini Alfredo was simi-warm after eating the top layer of the pasta. It was just cold all the way to the bottom of the bowl. To top that off, at the bottom of the bowl there was uncooked pasta. Very disappointing. The next day(today) Currently eating my favorite meal again from Panera (chicken tortellini Alfredo). Happy to say it's doing a little better. But After a little wait which was okay at first, but then realized that 3 other guests were served there takeaway food before us. Their orders were much larger than our order. ( our ordered a BLT and a chicken tortellini Alfredo no drinks for take away) the guy behind the counter did put in a few extra goodies in the sack. We were very appreciative for that. He was very nice and apologized for the wait. (He's not a manager. He should be! The manger that was standing right in front of me said nothing to the subject. read more

I am noticing that the quality of food at Panera has gone down quite a bit. My panini is cold and barely toasted and the portions of ingredients is laughable for a $9 sandwich. This has happened multiple times now. read more

Just passing through and stopped for dinner. Manager or owner needs to pay more attention. We waited a really long tome for a simple order. Watching the staff clean rather than help customers. Fresh and delightful, Best salad ever! Romaine, strawberry, pineapple, blueberry, tangerine, walnut and chicken mixed with a light poppy seed dressing. It's big enough for two, but it's so good you won't want to share it! And... It's served with a chocolate chip cookie! Sandwiches are large and all baked goods are made fresh on-site. Very clean and crisp looking. Well managed with a friendly staff. read more

Panera is the best regardless of the city it's in. The coffee was great. The establishment was very clean. We enjoyed the time spent there.

The food is so so. I was going to give it 3 stars but as soon as I overheard someone in the kitchen talking about microwaving a broth bowl soup, I got disappointed. If I want microwaved soup, I can make that at home and pay a third of the price. Also, I had ordered a side of Mediterranean chicken flatbread with my soup and they forgot to bring it out. The waiter didn't know whether or not it was supposed to be a full flatbread or half, even though the big menu above the front register clearly stated that it should be a full order, as did my receipt (and the price I paid for it.) Atmosphere is cozy and nice, as long as you beat the lunch hour rush before noon. read more

Ordered online figuring to save time, but drive takes orders so you still wait for those to be made. Of 5 items, 2 were not included so I asked window guy did he even check order and he said they did that on the service line...obviously not. I asked if there was silverware in bag and he said yes, but when I got to park to eat, there was no spoon for the soup. The forgot dessert was macaroons which he got for me, but it only had one whereas online photo shows three. While waiting at window I noticed floor was totally dirty with trash in food service area, and drink girl filled each cup full up with ice so forget getting much drink no matter what size you order. If you call then next time they can give you one, but you have to wait to speak with a manager and it's quite annoying. Ordered a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Received a table buzzer and sat down and waited for my sandwich to be delivered to my table. It never came. I found it sitting on the kitchen counter getting cold. This place is run by nice people, but they need adult supervision. It is an employee playground. I have been waiting in line before ordering or for my food for the last 25+minutes. This location is awful, on top of that they are out of flat bread so they had to ask me to change my order. Then the cashier ran out of change and couldn't take orders. That happens I get it but they are so slow. This place is a train wreck. read more

I like Panera's food - and it is one of few national chains I go to in Santa Fe. But today there was a long line of people waiting to order and only two of four cash registers staffed. I waited briefly but the line wasn't moving very fast, so departed for one of the other many restaurants nearby. Why do businesses do this? If you're not going to have the staff for interacting wth customers then why waste the space for an unused cash register? Drug and grocery stores among others are often guilty of this as well. To me, it is an indicator of of the quality of management. Maybe today was a fluke. I see that they are planning to install ordering kiosks but another reviewer notes that's been the plan for some time. I will probably return sometime to give them another chance, but very disappointed in my attempt today. read more

Super busy! This location was slammed when I went on a Thursday at 1 in the afternoon but they were quick and friendly. I ordered delivery one day as well and they were at my hotel within thirty minutes. Very fast! I was impressed with this Panera. read more

I appreciate the business they are doing during Covid, however I had a few problems. First of all, I ordered online for curbside pickup twice and both times they have gotten my order wrong. I ordered a fruit cup on the side of my sandwich and did not receive it (the fruit cup is an add-on and costs $2). The next time I did not receive my baguette on the side. My food was put together very messy with tuna spilling out everywhere in my sandwich. I am content with their time efficiency and how the food tasted though. read more

This place is very slow. Even the drive through is slow. If you have somewhere to be, plan accordingly. The place is good like traditional Panera, but it took twenty minutes for a bakers dozen bagels, 2 tubs of cream cheese, and a hot latte that ended up being cold. The people are nice and try to make up for their mistakes, but after being there 3 times and things don't change you start to wonder what's really going on. read more

We stopped here on a Sunday night while driving from Phoenix to Denver. The food was okay but our order took forever. Also, I'm not sure if it's Santa Fe in general or the specific night we were there, but the whole restaurant was filled with weird, cult-like clientele. We were approached by someone who was borderline harassing us, asking if we were trying to "communicate" with them when we were just sitting at a table keeping to ourselves. It was super creepy for us, we were desperately hoping our food would be done quickly so we could get the heck out of there. It is difficult to believe this is the same restaurant as the Panera Bread's I have visited in other locations. The place was filthy, every single empty table was dirty. The floor was dirty, the drink area was dirty ad the employees were dirty. The woman walking around heard me say every table was dirty and snapped "I'm busy, I'll get to it". I ordered the thai wonton bowl with a half turkey & kale panini. I had seen their bowls at an ABQ location and they looked great. This one was literally filled 1/4 of the way up the bowl. This soup bowl costs $9 without the sandwich ($13 with the sandwich). What! I really feel like I want my money back. It was barely warm and the sandwich did not resemble the photo either. If only I had a time machine to go back and eat lunch somewhere else. read more

Really, tasty, Great food, Friendly Staff. Took food a bit longer to arrive as was lunch time. My sandwich had 3 chips of pink Glass in the bread, 1 cut my lip. I took it to the Mngr, who got quite upset knowing there was a problem with the bread itself! He told me they would remake the sandwich, with a different choice of bread, it was done quite quickly. He also said they'd throw out that type of bread, & advise their Bakery vendor. He let us choose 3 pastry choices before we left, for our troubles..no trouble, stuff happens! read more

Incredibly slow. I went through the drive-thru and was stuck for 20 minutes despite only having 2 cars ahead of me.

Not impressed. The potions were ridiculously small and the read wasn't even baked all the way through. To top it all off the grilled cheese was god awful. And to be frank how do you mess up a grilled cheese!?! read more

This place is hit our miss. Done days you can have the best service and the friendliest staff other days you get rude people working. The food also has it days some times it is really fresh and your bowls are full and other days it looks like they are scrapping the bottom of the barrel for your food. The restaurant is always dirty especially the tables . The staff walks right past them like if they are not there. It is pretty sad the customer has to wipe or clear their own table to get a place to sit. Now that they are a full Panera you no longer get the free cookie but in many occasions if you order they will not give you the choices you are entitled to but just give you bread as your side. The dine in food is good, although it tends to be on the small portion size for certain things, yet the prices are high. The table servers are pretty quick and friendly. However, Yolanda, the Associate Trainer, who often works the cashier/order desk is RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! Every time I've been there and she's at the register she's rude. She shouldn't train anyone, let alone be allowed to work with the public up front. However, she's probably spit in the orders if she were in the line. Kat isn't all that nice either at the register. This Panera Bread is similar to others, but is an independent operation. They don't accept the Panera Bread card, don't offer chips or fruit with your meal, but do give you a chocolate chip cookie with your order. It appears to be new, has a nice fireplace in the center of the restaurant, and your food is brought to your table when ready. Overall, it is good, but my soup was lukewarm when served today. On my previous visit there my soup was very hot when served. I would return and give it a fair recommendation. read more
