The coffee and the food was fine, though my sandwich was not hot. They told me my wife's order would be fifteen minutes, which was okay, but they didn't give me a device with the lights, so I had to leave the group I was with a couple times to check on it. When it came up, they bagged it like it was take out and it turned out my sandwich had been on the counter around the corner for ten minures. Guess I will stick to coffee and pastries if I go to that branch again. read more

I specifically asked for a pick 2 yet I was charged full price for sandwich and soup!! . Not sure if it was a manager or a swing manager but he was not very professional playing games with other employees while there was a line waiting to be taking care of. read more

Tastes great but bowl was not even 1/2 full 2 tiny pieces of chicken. This was one item from a 6 item rapid order for a a company meeting. I would totally order this again just not a rapid order. read more

The location, like the other half dozen or so I've been to is nicely kept up. Though it's in the parking lot of a Target shopping center, the complex is well maintained and the restaurant features a large patio out front with plenty of seating and a water fountain. Add in the landscaping and you may even forget you're in a parking lot. The counter staff is friendly and helpful and the two serve yourself areas (coffee & soda) are clean and orderly. I've been there mid afternoon on a weekday and found myself pleasantly surprised by the impressive bakery selection still available, all looking fresh and tempting. The soups, sandwiches and salads available range from foodie indulgences to healthy alternatives to the pizza and sub places also in the complex. Let's keep in mind, though, that this is corporate fast-casual, mass produced food, so when i say "foodie" I'm not implying gourmet. The ingredients are certainly a few steps above normal fast-casual restaurants, though I wouldn't expect local produce or anything of that nature. I was happy to see the introduction of hormone free organic chicken to some of their salad choices. The flavor combinations behind many of their dishes do mimic more independently operated restaurants that a "foodie" may be inclined to support. Decent place if you lean towards the more gourmet side of things but are in a rush, low on funds or nothing better is nearby. read more

We were there at Cafe 4160, Sanford, Fl 32771 ..Phone 407 936 1198 Check Number # 165250 7:54:59 PM Great and good service by Folks: 1. Cayley 2. Emily They both excelled in their work. They are super young, but highly energetic, really smiling, courteous, customer service, they have a great sense of humor. We need such people in Panera bread. They make a true difference. They wanted to say bye also when we leave even though they could have just pass by. They mean business, they are ethical and honest. Please ensure to pass on this to Upper Management as a True example of Panera Bread service who are at the cash counters. There are great managers i had sent Kathleen in North Charleston, SC these people are at the front counter and facing customers every day- still smiling, while standing whole day..not an easy one. read more

I was not very crazy about this place. I've been away from this restaurant for a very long time and this last visit reminded me why. The atmosphere has changed much and there was not much help at the counter. I used the electronic menu that was so confusing. Ordered the new spicy chicken sandwich and a salad. Was not impressed with any of it. I love spicy food but this was just not hitting at all. Sandwich fell apart on the first bite and the chicken was very dry. The salad was wilted. It's going to be a no for me ever coming back to this restaurant. read more

This is the 3 time iI've had this happen to me when i order a soup and they ask you what side do you i want i say bread. Of course THEY NEVER GIVE IT TO ME! I just got out of surgery and all i wanted was soup a grilled cheese and there bread i also ordered Mac and cheese. And the bag said there were 2 pieces of bread so i didnt check i should have trusted my gut and check and low and behold there NOT ONE SLICE OF BREAD IN THERE! After spending $25 worth of food i would like the bread and i dont call because they don't fix anything I'm not wasting my gas to go get bread. Like it's not that hard Panera get your shit together. read more

Love Panera!!! I always find a nice selection of salads, soup and sandwiches which satisfy a lunch time meal or even dinner. Of course, the selections of bread, bagels and pastries are outstanding which is also a reason for a visit to Panera. The environment is warmful and the customer service is very good. read more

I've eaten ate this place maybe 5 times, because my daughter (12) loves the chicken soup and the sweets, and considering her age and food tastes, I understand her feelings. What I fail to grasp is the popularity of Panera. They offer nothing either unique or particularly good. I've had salads and sandwiches both of which were mostly meh. As far as a value I think it's a good deal overpriced for what you get. Add that to the fact that it is little more than a cafeteria, and I'd rather go to any of several in the area. My sentiments are apparently not wholly shared, but when I go out to eat, I don't want to stand in a line and fetch my own soda. And any lunch type place that serves circles of turkey just cannot rate any more than 2 stars, and I'm being generous because the girl likes the soup and sweets. read more

I ordered two bowls of broccoli cheddar soup and they gave me one, my night is ruined

No more good food on the menu the staff are not friendly bought some baguette bread to take home upon leaving the restaurant I asked if I could have my bread she tried to give me a little piece of bread on a napkin and then had the nerve to say that I didn't pay for full load until the other girl read my receipt and said yes he did very rude to even come across that questions like that for a lousy bread that cost $3 would never go back there again this is my third time there that the service was lousy only reason Id go there is because my dentist is next door but I will not go there again not recommended. read more

So I go to Panera bread today I ordered the vegetarian sandwich. The cost of it was eight dollars. Waited for the Sandwich when I got my sandwich it was so thin, I lifted the top of the sandwich and all it had was one tomato a piece of lettuce and spread on it When I asked what was on the sandwich it was supposed to have peppers cucumbers hummus lettuce tomato and few other things and all I had on it was a piece of lettuce and tomato and some hummus I don't get where they think they can charge you eight dollars for a peace of lettuce, tomato and Hummus Will never go to Panera's again read more

Brianna the MANAGER was rude when trying to place an order I ALWAYS have to wait over 15 minutes for half a sandwich so when I tried pre ordering the customer service was horrible Brianna told a cashier to not take the order two minutes from them Opening and the fact that she stated the POS doesn't open until 6:30 and they didn't open until 3 minutes later is horrible... I always have an issues at this location... if my school wasn't so close I would never visit this location .... get a new manager with good guest service ESPECIALLY if your going to have customers waiting 15 minutes for half a sandwich and drink read more

Corporate quality control needs to check this place out. Pepsi taste like bleach. ...fountain machines had residue everywhere. Will rethink Panera as my "safe" food place. read more

Every now and then I crave a soufflé and ignore the health factors. Stopped this am and there is no crowd at this location. Very pleasant to relax and eat to classical music. Panera is consistent, soufflé was hot and tasty and the team always asks if you have or want their reward program. I rarely gather enough points for a reward since a healthy breakfast is not the norm here. read more

Standard Panera fare, obviously. Have a good stock of fresh-baked cookies throughout the day. This location is fairly cramped--the counter where you pick up your order gets very crowded, the drink machine is in a high-traffic, tight corner. There isn't a ton of seating, and there are a lot of people who "camp out" here for hours so it seems even less. Tables/chairs are not consistently kept clean. The whole restaurant is rather dark. The staff is friendly and my order has always come as requested. read more

Don't waste your time going to this Panera.. me and my girlfriend both got super sick because of it. Oh and they charged her for an extra Mac n cheese when she had it ordered already. Food poisoning sucks. (Both had Mac n cheese) read more

Love this place they are very nice and the place is clean!! Breakfast power sandwich is great with my hazelnut coffee mmmm good ;)

Slow and got my order wrong. Not sure what is so difficult about whole grain, but Panera seems to look at a main order, such as a salad or sandwich, the ignores any detail, like whole grain baguette. When I mentioned it, they just took the baguette from my hand and expressed no caring whatsoever. Oddly, they did not offer a replacement, even though I pointed out the mistake (the order taker took the order correctly, the person preparing didnt care to look). read more

Ordered take out and when we got home found one person's meal missing. We ordered take out for convenience and were unable to go back all the way to get the missing food. When contacted the manager for this frustrating experience all she did was give us the money owed as if that was a favor on us. They did nothing to compensate for the inconvenience we faced and that shows how little they care about customer experience. Its sad to see small businesses struggle and such big companies stay afloat during these times tbh. read more

Unfortunately this location has gone downhill a simple request cannot be fulfilled without being messed up that's the bottom line. I ordered the egg over easy in the brioche I got a hard egg and the menu it states it's over easy you just don't get what you order. This has happened several times. I appreciate the do over but I would like it right the first time. read more

The delivery system sucks. You can only order online, then if your order is too big it won't work, but will charge your card. I understand it is a new system but the only way to order should not be online. This was a wasted of my entire lunch and I've never had such a bad experience with a restaurant before. My card was charged 4 times! And still was never able to place my order. I will never be ordering from Panera again! read more

Always delicious food , nice wait people. Good atmosphere, delicious deserts/pastry's

Panera will always be one of my favorite places to eat. I got takeout there about three days ago and it was packaged very nicely. The food was delicious, as always, and I felt very satisfied with my order. read more

I ordered food for my family and when I arrived I saw my order behind the counter ready to be picked up. There were 3 employees chatting behind the counter in a corner and 1 at the register assisting another customer. Nobody acknowledged me waiting in line or tried to expedite the process. After I returned home I realized they didn't give me the child's grilled cheese but did give the yogurt side. I called and they said they could mail me a voucher or I could pick it up. I elected to pick it up since my family was starving. They asked how long until I was there and I said 15 minutes. Guess what, after 30 minutes it still wasn't ready!!! This place needs some serious lessons in customer service. I do a lot of office lunches and typically order from Panera, I'm going to go with another restaurant in the future. read more

This always seems to be mine and my friends' chosen quick breakfast spot before heading out of town for any road trip . Service is always quick and friendly. If you have a Panera rewards card , make sure you have them swipe in case you have a freebie loaded on. They can also look up with your phone number. The spinach and artichoke soufflé is wonderful - light, flaky and filling. I always opt for the iced coffee and , here, you are able to serve yourself and sweeten to your liking and refills are free! There is plenty of seating here and we've never had a problem finding a table. Free WiFi is an added bonus! read more

Let me start off my first saying I normally Love Panera's, but not this one. I have had two very bad experiences here. I visited here early in the morning with my daughter and ordered the broccoli cheddar soup, It was obviously the leftovers from the night before and had been grossly watered down. You could actually see the separation of water/soup. It was so bad we could not eat it. On a separate occasion I noticed that there was a large swarm of fruit flies by the fountain drink machine, I alerted a worker and they seemed annoyed and said "again!". They went and cleaned out various parts of the machine that had obviously been neglected from cleaning! GROSS! If you are in the mood for Panera's soup or salads or sandwiches, pass this one up and go to another nearby one! read more

The woman Courtney who works here needs to learn some customer service skills. Horrible experience because of her. After being talked to rudely, having my plate snatched out of my hand and being ignored I will not be returning to this location. It sucks that one person can ruin your day so easily. read more

Very clean, friendly staff and great food! Especially veggie sandwich and broccoli and cheddar soup! Located in a mall, outside seating area is a plus since we don't get those in Chicago. Overall great experience What more can you ask for? read more

I paid a visit to this location earlier today and had no problems! Me and my sister in law went to the counter to order a half dozen bagels and cream cheese which they had an amazing amount of bagels in stock so we ordered our half dozen each with a container of cream cheese each and was in and out with no problem. My sister in law also ordered broccoli cheese soup to go for her husbands lunch and it was ready by the time we were done paying for our bagels. I do notice the customers that eat at this location are VERY rude and think they are better than everyone else.. Relax people and take a chill pill lol.. Life is too short and quit being snobs. read more

I came into this review ready to give 3 stars after a second mishap in a row with my order on rapid pickup but I decided to give management a shot to see what they would do. Much to my surprise they were very apologetic and offered to take my name and make me a new sandwich free of charge when ever I had time to make it in. Not to mention they answered the phone after hours to help. Also the bacon turkey bravo doesn't get much better. read more

Just like any other Panera location. Good place to get coffee and bagels. Their sandwiches and salads are good too.

I've always enjoyed food at Panera. I've been to other Panera locations and was always completely satisfied. I went to the Sanford Panera on Mother's Day and ordered my favorite sandwich, the Mediterranean Vegetable, only to find the sandwich was about half the size of what I'd always received. The Tomato bread slices were tiny by comparison to the other times I've ordered it. Also, one of my guests ordered a steak panini which offered two tiny steps of steak, barely visible in the bread. The flavor of our food was good, but with the prices higher and the food smaller, it didn't sit well. This is the first time I've been disappointed and I will think twice before going there again. read more

First time at this panara and not 100% pleased. I ordered a salad without romaine, only spinach, add cucumbers and half my salad was romaine and no cucumbers were added. Needless to say I got half of what I paid for. My husbands panne was excellent! And the fruit cup was fantastic. Just disappointed with my salad. May try this location again but will double check my food before I leave. read more

Panera, come on man. Out of the one thing my wife wanted. Then when we both asked for water they charged us full soda price $2.39. While that's pretty lame, the real problem there is why when someone asks for water would the cashier not just say, "sure, but we do charge $2.39 for it. And then for good measure they gave me a filthy soup spoon. Otherwise the food was tasty enough. read more

We eat here quite often and the majority of the time it's great. The staff is also very friendly as well. We ordered online today for pick up and when we got home one of our sandwiches had a 2 inch long chicken bone in it. Not a big deal, I understand this can happen. When I called the store the manager refuted my claim and said it had to be gristle or fat. Well it wasn't, it was a bone and yes it "can" happen. In fairness I was ultimately offered a refund but the customer service experience was atrocious. I simply expected an apology and a little sympathy that our meal wasn't right and instead you called me a liar. Sorry Panera, you're not PERFECT. This isn't rocket science, next time apologize and give me my money back for the sandwich I couldn't eat. I wasn't asking for anything I wasn't entitled too. Your customer recovery needs some work. read more

Its very clean and the food is excellent. I would recommend signing up on the email list for the Panera card to get freebies.

I don't live very near this Paneras but since the weather turned cooler, I went here to sit by the lively splashing fountain. It has been filled with dirt and the storefront plaza looked like a war torn spot. The whole atmosphere had declined. I was shocked. How sad. Surely the prices we're paying could be used to give the place a jolt of class to make it an enjoyable experience again. read more
