    Onion soup bread bowl
    Bill D.

Jan 14, 2019 updated review: came in today with wife at 2:30. I ordered the roasted Turkey and avocado BLT which is what I normally have, and every time i get it it comes with ciabatta bread, today it came with wheat bread. I could have complained but i was hungry so I ate it, and it was not good; it tasted ok, but not even as good as an Arbys market fresh sandwich, and not even half the size, and more expensive... My wife got the onion soup bread bowl, which was just warm, really needs to be hotter. We also got an extra side item, someone's hair, which we definitely didn't order (see attached pic). Had to lower to 1 star because of the hair. I hate that they have gone downhill because I used to eat here once every couple weeks, but not anymore. (Previous review from first visit) :First time ever at a Panera Bread, and I wasn't let down. I tried the turkey and avocado BLT on chiabatta bread and it was delicious. Perfect amount of bacon, Turkey and they didn't skimp on the avocados like many places do. One of the side choices was an apple which I chose, and they even sliced it up for me. For dessert I got the blueberry scone, also delicious, which btw came free with my meal. Had a nice cold Pellogrino water to drink. Prices are a little high which is why I didn't give it a 5 star, even though I understand since everything is organic that's probably why. Mykah took my order and helped me select off the menu, what a pretty and pleasant young lady she is, great customer service. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

    Bear claw! Yum!

Fun, eclectic eatery located in the heart of downtown Rome…read more The space is wide open and has a small, hometown feel to it with fun art and memorabilia hanging from the ceiling and walls. The menu is full of classic, comfort style dishes that will make you feel at home. Or server was a true southern belle with all the charm and kindness you would expect. I had a burger and it was delicious. This thing was MASSIVE and cooked to a perfect medium well as I had requested. The fries were also pretty good. They could have used a bit more seasoning but there was salt on the table!

Down in Rome this past weekend and decided to get into the Harvest Moon, as I had never been…read more Asking my girlfriend how it was, she just answered "okay". I now agree with her. This is a Southern Restaurant in a southern town. So I opted for a Shepherd's Pie from the St Paddy's Day menu. Yeah, go figure. It was rather bland. When I make this dish, I use ample cream in the potatoes (Irish style) and make a thicker, more moist pie, with a good deal of tomato in it. This was a bland substitute. Far better the next day when I added in enough butter to make the potatoes shine. I will give props for using lamb on this. She had the salmon patties. Fairly simple, also rather bland. Mashed potatoes as well. Breading on the okra was fine. Staff? Very friendly waiter. Answered all the questions and even described the drinks. As this has a good craft beer selection, I opted for one I had not had before and she got a smokey old fashioned. The old fasthioned did not have the cherries or orange peel you would normally see, but was rather strong and did use a rye whiskey. I would not go there for the drink, but reasonably priced. The ambiance is great. Typical of Rome, GA establishments, you can feel the history. They also have a rooftop bar and a separate bar area, for those seeking out a drink or two. Summary: The experience was good, but the food was bland. If you like to heavily salt your food, this might not be as big of a deal. On the whole, 3 stars, for average. Compared to other places in Rome, some of which are really bad, you would prefer this to many places. Nothing really bad to say, but nothing really good. Just average.

We make fancy grilled cheese sandwiches when we camp, but not like this. These sandwiches are so…read morewell put together and every tasting note and ingredient is well thought out with a high degree of quality. We had three sandwiches: Dill with it, the arsonist and the Al Capesto. Our favorite was the arsonist followed closely by the pesto one. The candied bacon and the seasoning on top puts it over the top. We loved how they cut these onto triangles of four, making them real easy to share. I ordered online and it only took 15 minutes. It was ready as soon as I ordered and started my half mile walk. I've heard of ghost kitchens before, and have got delivery from them, but never been inside of one. I absolutely love the idea. They take an underutilized kitchen such as one at a church and put it to good use during off hours. It's such a wonderful idea to not be wasteful with space and I'm sure it keeps the food prices low. Don't expect like a fancy fast casual place that spends way too much money on their space, but they do a perfect job with what they got. You are coming up to a church, but it's so well marked with signs and lights you can't miss it. It so nice to having a place in Candler park we can walk to, and the owners are warm and friendly. Truly a unique gem in the hood.

Best Grilled Cheese EVER!…read more I had the three cheese grilled cheese and added bacon and sundried tomato. It was so good! Crispy and well cooked and elevated with the salt and parsley garnish. *Chef's kiss* The tomato bisque was also delicious and the kale cole slaw was such a yummy, unique take on your typical cole slaw without straying too far from the familiar slaw you know and love. Staff is super friendly, attentive, and service is quick. Next time I see this food truck around I am definitely making a stop, and so should you!
