    Straight toilet water

The water taste like the got it straight out the toilet bowl. I thought I just got done eating my girl booty hole after she just got back from chipotle with the girls and 2 Starbuck coffees.

We always have fun here, when we visit Rome. Potato strings in the hibachi is a little different but still good.

What's not to like about eating a sushi roll while Pat Benatar is on the big screen singing Hit Me with Your Best Shot? My wife had the Headbanger shrimp, which I also tried, and it was fantastic. We shared the fried wonton appetizer, which was decadent. I chose to try one of the house special tools: the Crowd Surfer. Very tasty!! Everything we had was excellent. Our waitress and the hostess were both friendly and helpful, kept our glasses full of water, and checked in with us often. If you are looking for sushi in Rome, you should definitely give them a try. I susoect you won't be disappointed!

Definitely try both sauces, as I couldn't really pick a favorite. My wife ordered miso soup with her entrée and I asked for the ginger salad with mine. Neither of us were terribly pleased. The ginger salad was literally just romaine lettuce and a ginger-flavored dressing. Okay, but could've been better. My wife felt the same about her soup. When it came to the entrees, my wife was elated with her dish (one of the hibachi options), but mine was a little underwhelming. Maybe it's because I chose the Rainbow Roll, which admittedly had a pretty mellow flavor, but the sides didn't help any. The sliced ginger was a little dry and had maybe half of the flavor intensity that I was used to, and the soy sauce (in a Kikkoman bottle, but no idea if that matched the actual contents) was *exceedingly* salty. Usually soy sauce is a good complement to most rolls, but this literally overpowered what little flavor the roll had. For dessert we tried the Mango Coconut Rockstars. It kinda felt like their spin on the mango sticky rice that some restaurants offer. Again, a bit underwhelming. The fried sticky rice stars had decent flavor and texture, but the mango was diced into tiny pieces. They were surprisingly firm and tasted a little under-ripe, almost with a pineapple-like acidity. Our server was pretty good, though it kinda felt like she was rushing us once our dessert was served. The atmosphere was kinda cool. The menus are tucked into vinyl album covers, and each menu has a different classic album cover on the front. There are a few TVs in the place playing old rock music videos (all the same, thankfully), and it added to the nostalgia. All in all, it was okay. We may come back to try some of the other menu items, but it's not likely to be my go-to for sushi.

The menu is full of classic, comfort style dishes that will make you feel at home. Or server was a true southern belle with all the charm and kindness you would expect. I had a burger and it was delicious. This thing was MASSIVE and cooked to a perfect medium well as I had requested. The fries were also pretty good. They could have used a bit more seasoning but there was salt on the table!

This is a Southern Restaurant in a southern town. So I opted for a Shepherd's Pie from the St Paddy's Day menu. Yeah, go figure. It was rather bland. When I make this dish, I use ample cream in the potatoes (Irish style) and make a thicker, more moist pie, with a good deal of tomato in it. This was a bland substitute. Far better the next day when I added in enough butter to make the potatoes shine. I will give props for using lamb on this. She had the salmon patties. Fairly simple, also rather bland. Mashed potatoes as well. Breading on the okra was fine. Staff? Very friendly waiter. Answered all the questions and even described the drinks. As this has a good craft beer selection, I opted for one I had not had before and she got a smokey old fashioned. The old fasthioned did not have the cherries or orange peel you would normally see, but was rather strong and did use a rye whiskey. I would not go there for the drink, but reasonably priced. The ambiance is great. Typical of Rome, GA establishments, you can feel the history. They also have a rooftop bar and a separate bar area, for those seeking out a drink or two. Summary: The experience was good, but the food was bland. If you like to heavily salt your food, this might not be as big of a deal. On the whole, 3 stars, for average. Compared to other places in Rome, some of which are really bad, you would prefer this to many places. Nothing really bad to say, but nothing really good. Just average.

I've tried the Tonkotsu Kamikaze, which has a nice kick of spice and an incredibly flavorful broth. The chashu pork is always moist and perfectly cooked, and the egg is one of my favorite toppings. It's just delicious. I've also tried the Tonkotsu Black, which uses a black garlic oil to give the broth a unique and delicious twist. It's not spicy, just rich and flavorful in a different way, and honestly, I can't choose between the two. They're both fantastic depending on whether you're in the mood for a bit of heat or not. On the sushi burrito side, the Dancing Sushi Burrito is a must-try. It's basically a giant sushi roll loaded with tuna, shrimp tempura, salmon, cream cheese, lettuce, cucumber, avocado, edamame, wasabi sauce, and eel sauce. It might sound a bit unusual, but it's absolutely delicious. Once I realized it wasn't actually wrapped in a tortilla like a normal burrito, I was all in, and I can't recommend it enough. I always make my ramen a combo so I can add either the chicken karaage or the fried pork gyoza. Both are fantastic. The karaage is super crispy with a great dipping sauce, and the gyoza comes with a unique and delicious sauce I've never had anywhere else. If you go with someone, I'd suggest getting both and trying each other's sauces because they're both so good. Service is often very good as well. The servers are incredibly kind and attentive. We've never had any issues. In fact, they've recognized us as regulars on a few visits and even thanked us for coming in, which was a really nice and personal touch. Overall, Zen Ramen and Sushi Burrito is a place we keep coming back to for good reason. Great food, plenty of flavorful options, and definitely worth a visit!
