Don't let the exterior of the building prevent you from eating here. Similar style, menu, and taste from other regional SoHo's, the food is fantastic, always fresh, and made correctly. Service is good but limited as you are able to refill and select your beverage on your own. We will continue to visit here, and their similar locations across NW GA. read more

I really like SOHO. The food is good and very consistent. The only downside is the building. It is very old so it has the feel of being unclean...but that is a deception because it is always clean. The prices are good and the service is fast for a sit down place. read more

due to the small Hispanic female cashier, we won't be returning. -if you have a food allergy and you see she's working just go somewhere else. She doesn't do anything to see if there's a way to provide the meal without the allergen. she just responds, "it has it in it." That is my only complaint. I used to be able to get food from here and they'd provide the meal without my food allergy in it but now when I go, she's the one I mainly see and I've learned to just turn around and go somewhere else. read more

I generally love SoHo. Went for dinner tonight and ordered steak hibachi medium rare, my meal was scorched except for my rice & my miso soup. Don't write this place off just because of one half bad meal. This place is usually amazing and I'm giving them the benefit of a bad night and will go back again. read more

This restaurant has a very inviting and friendly atmosphere. It is casual and gives huge sized portions for the price. The chicken is great and the fried rice is cooked very well. All around very good restaurant with a nice staff and good food. read more

This is the place in Rome we go for hibachi because I'm just not interested in a show while I eat my rice. I also like that I'm able to serve myself with the seafood sauce because I like it more than I should. I don't love the teriyaki sauce here because it's too sweet for me, but the hibachi lunch special is a favorite of mine. read more

Last time I went there we had to wait 30 minutes for my friends food and finally I went to complain only to find out that his order was never sent to the kitchen by the time his food was brought to the table mine was already cold and nasty. Food Is Great BUT Don't Leave a Tip - The Owners Keep the Tip!! Let me first say. - The food is here is GREAT. The flavors, the quality - everything is tasteful and great. You order at the front, fix your own drinks and someone brings you your food. Sometimes they have one person who brings your food, sometimes two. Those same people clean the tables. Service is great. Many people don't leave a tip because you order up front. We always leave a tip. Have been here 3-4 times. But we learned that the owners do NOT Allow the server and clean up person to keep the tips. The owners take the tips and keep them for themselves. We may return, but we will no longer leave a tip so the owners can pocket the money these servers are receiving. Ignore the sketchy location...I was pleasantly surprised. The inside is clean and updated. The menu is simple and you place your order at the front. Drinks and misc items are self serve. There is plenty of seating available. When your food is ready; someone brings it to your table. Overall the food is very tasty and I felt the portions were well worth the nominal fee that was paid. I tried the clear soup, edamame, and the dumplings. All were excellent. My seatmate had the shrimp & chicken hibachi; which was a huge portion that could have easily fed 3 adults. Food was pretty good, but I am fat and ordered a diner size portion. The young kid that works there somehow switched my order with someone else. This place is probably the best value for hibachi in Rome. The portions are generous, the food is good, and at half the price​ of your average Japanese​ steakhouse​ It's no wonder Soho is a favorite among college students. In the evenings, the restaurant​ gets crowded so be prepared to wait 20- 30 minutes for your food. However, under most all circumstances it is much faster than a fancier hibachi place. The most notable member of their staff sticks out because​ he seems about 14 years old (at the most) at the time of this review and has been working the cash register and as a waiter for a few years at least. I'm not sure if he's getting the pay he deserves. The atmosphere​ is not the best, as it can get stuffy, a little dirty, and the extended seating area made to hold more customers is not heated or cooled, so it can get pretty chilly in the winter. read more

Best teriyaki chicken I found thus far in Rome. The sauce is not over salted and meat is moist. The yum yum sauce is on point too, and the portions are excellent. Can't miss with this restaurant. read more

This place has somewhat to me great Chinese food but honestly the only thing that I really cared for was my spring rolls and fried rice. My steak and chicken was overcooked therefore my steak and was hard to chew and my chicken was dried out and not even soy sauce could save the dish. Soho Hibachi is a staple in Rome. Best bang for buck in terms of quality and quantity. $6 at lunch will get you a heaping portion of food and $9 will get you at least 2 meals out of an order. Only downside is wait can sometimes be pretty long as it is typically very busy during the evening. read more

I had the teriyaki chicken and shrimp and I was not impressed. My broccoli was under cooked. My shrimp and chicken over cooked. My fiancé had the teriyaki steak n chicken and asked for medium and it as well as the chicken was over cooked . And we were not satisfied with our meat portions.
