After having issues with a couple of other local fast food establishments in the area, I visited Zaxby's for lunch. The drive thru line was empty and the service was fast. I paid for my order and was given my food quickly. The lady at the check out window was friendly. The chicken strips were overcooked and much too crunchy. I was only given one dipping sauce. The fries were well undercooked and floppy. The cole slaw was runny. The toast was overcooked. The sweet tea was good. This is the fastest drive thru I visited while I was in town. If more time could be spent on preparing the food, this place could be much better. read more

Did a curbside pick up order waited for 20 mins still didn't come out, had to go inside to get it.

We placed a to go order for 5 people and they have it all correct . They were however out of the ranch dipping sauce but they gave us ranch dressing in its place. Employees were very friendly. The peach tea is delicious ! read more

Worst Zaxby's I've ever been to. The chicken fingers barely have any breading so they're not crunchy and it's like it's not even Zaxby's. Their chicken will somehow sponge up a ton of grease because they fill up your to-go container with enough cooking oil to fry a whole new batch of chicken. OMG! I have never been in a drive through for over 45 minutes!!! And our food was cold when we got it!! It was over $30 for fast food. This location needs a change in management yesterday. We've had the issue with food tasting like burnt grease others have listed (manager confirmed that something had burned in the fryer) We've also had unrelated issues that are really unacceptable for any business. We ordered a salad online and when I picked up our food, the salad was missing from the order. I went back inside and no one came to the register (while employees chatted with friends who cut in line) Eventually, I spoke to someone and explained that we didn't get the salad we ordered and they said "yeah, we ran out of salad base." And I explained that we paid for it and they went to the (guessing) manager who then said "yeah, we're out of salad. I can make you something else or refund you." So, I got a refund. I was able to order a salad, pay for it, pick it the order and there was no communication that they actually couldn't make my order. They just handed me a bag without it. Franchise owner, PLEASE change the management or whomever is the cause of all these issues. You are throwing your money away... read more

If you're going to try and be similar to Chick-fil-A in the fact that you have employees outside to help improve the drive thru line, I would suggest having your best people outside. I just left the drive thru and the girl had such a bad attitude when I was asking for something. I know the manger here is amazing, has a great attitude, and makes sure everyone enjoys their meal. I spent last 17 yrs as management and upper management of large corp. restaurants...... ordered a sandwich was rung in for a combo ordered a side of mushrooms and without a word charged for a side of ranch ( ( not about the .25) but not mentioned. Ordered 2 items under the deserts banana pudding. Not only did I not receive them but never told they were not desert but milkshakes and I had to travel back to retrieve my items, and not a single cup holder in the unit?????? So sell me desert in a dishonest way but no way to take back to the hotel during the hurricane.... hotel is now full will inform everyone!!!! read more

They have now started doing the same thing chick fil a does, they place an employee outside to take orders to expedite the whole process of ordering and getting your food. I have found this location to be very fresh and good before 5-6pm, after that the food tends to be kinda cold and not as fresh tasting. read more

I use to love going to Zaxby's the food is good but the servers are inattentive and most likely over worked by rude and very loud mgt lady at the Turner McCall BLVD. location in Rome Ga. The employees were disciplined and items snatched from their hands by this mgr. in front of me and all customers. The west Rome Zaxby's takeout in west Rome will get my business from now on. I don't dine out to hear an angry mgr sound off while I'm eating. No wonder the employee count seems low. Who could work there? read more

All three locations in Rome are owned by the same company, yet have different and unclear policies. I can make an order online (not called in) and go through the drive thru at the Shorter Ave location with no problem. I made an order online today for the Turner McCall location, got to the drive thru and was told I had to come inside to pick up my order. When I complained, I got told that a sign on the drive thru menu board said that call ins must be picked up inside. Umm... News flash folks: First, I never touched my phone to order my food. Second, online orders are already paid for before you leave the house, so no need to come in and pay. Third, if you have a multi meal/drink order, and one person goes to get it, it's hell to balance all heading to your car. Finally, when you pay thirty bucks for a couple of meals, you should be able to expect a little consideration for your convenience, not for theirs. Bottom line: take the time to travel to Shorter. I love Zaxbys but the parking situation here is horrible. Sometimes the line for the drive thru is out in the road and there are very few parking spaces. I have been before and had to leave because there were no parking spaces. With all that said the food has always been great. However with dining in it seems to always take longer to get my food than if I use the drive thru. read more
