First time coming to Ramen 101 Riverbank. Decided to go here since the parking is way better here…read morethan the one on McHenry. Theres 11 tables and half were taken on a Labor Day Monday at 2 pm. You order in the counter but in case you can't see the menu that's behind the register, they do have it posted on the side which was a good idea for people near sighted. I ordered 2 black Garlic ramen , one non spicy for my wire and mine mild. They were quite busy so took awhile to get our ramen which the girl in the front handled it for all the tables. When she brought our soup, I asked which was nonspicy and she didn't know. Lucky when we inspected it', one had a little more red chili oil compared to the other. Decor was nice, place was clean. The ramen was good and soothing. Service was great and we had our ramen fix and was pretty content. Would we come back here? For sure since ramen 101 definitely has good ramen and presented nicely

Even though they were busy, the waitress was very efficient and provided great service. My hubby had the carne asada platter with corn tortillas, and I ordered a chile relleno alacarte and a sopa with grilled chicken alacarte . My sopa was a little too crunchy (the masa base) but the flavors were good. I asked for green sauce, and it was more like a creamy white sauce, but still ok. We had a favorite Mexican restaurant that we went to in our hometown, the next city over, but since it shut down a year ago, we might make this our new go to place.

Flavors of soup was a little more bland to my liking but I definitely was able to adjust and make it to how I liked it with their seasoning / flavor bar. Would suggest adding more seasoning salts/ flavors for people to add to their soups. Overall was good selection for to make your sauce. The train on top was cute, my daughter enjoyed watching it go by. I really enjoyed seeing the big variety of items to add to your soup. Especially that I can grab it and add it to my soup immediately. Instead of ordering and having to wait. Everything was so good and fresh. Portions were great. Really enjoyed it. Came here with my two youngest kids and husband. Will now come back with the rest of my family to enjoy.

Quiet on a Thursday evening, and you can make reservations easily online. I'd say this restaurant is more of a Greek Italian fusion restaurant, than just Italian. We ordered the saganaki, Greek salads, lamb chops, lasagna, and wine. Lamb chops were favored (even coming from my dad who usually doesn't like lamb and is the pickiest eater known to man).

WOW. What an unexpected find!…read more I happened to be charging my car right across the street from Bistro 120 and figured I'd walk over and grab something to eat while I waited. I was only planning to charge long enough to get back home to Fair Oaks. Instead, I ended up staying for over an hour because this place was just that good. I sat in the bar area, and Kelly took amazing care of me. I believe she was bartending as well as serving, and she was absolutely wonderful--smart, articulate, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable. I couldn't decide what I wanted and kept going back and forth between a few dishes. Kelly pointed me toward the sea bass. THANK YOU, KELLY. I can honestly say this may have been the best-cooked sea bass I've ever had. Sea bass is easy to get wrong. Undercook it and it isn't quite there; overcook it and you lose that beautiful texture. This was right in that perfect sweet spot--tender, flaky, moist, and cooked beautifully. Absolutely phenomenal. The rice served with it was delicious, the spinach was excellent, and the wine paired beautifully with the meal. They also have an excellent wine selection, which is always a huge plus for me. And then came dessert: the butter cake. Oh. My. Goodness. That butter cake was incredible. As good as everything else was, though, that sea bass is going to be hard to beat. My only complaint is that now I may have to drive 73 miles just to get great sea bass again! The atmosphere deserves mentioning too. Bistro 120 has an elegant, upscale ambiance without feeling stuffy or pretentious. I walked in wearing golf shorts, tennis shoes, and a polo and felt completely comfortable. You could come dressed up for a special evening or casually stop in like I did and fit right in. What started as a quick stop to charge my car turned into one of those unexpected dining experiences you remember. If you're anywhere near Oakdale, stop at Bistro 120. Great atmosphere, excellent wine, wonderful service, an unforgettable sea bass--and save room for that butter cake. I absolutely loved this place. It does not disappoint.

We then waited for 20 minutes while the staff worked on their delivery orders. I finally asked one employee when we would get our order and they then started to work on them and finally brought them to our table. We had ordered 2 four inch french dip sandwiches and 2 cups of soup and honestly they were terrible. There was only a sliver of roast beef on each sandwich and the soup was obviously from a can. Why it took so long to get our order to our table is beyond me, but it was a very disappointing experience. The food was subpar and the bill was $43 which is way too much for what we got. Never again!
