Today was insanely busy for Panera Bread! There were cars parked all over the lot waiting for to-go orders and the front lobby was completely packed. Many of the customers were understanding, and some were not. Anthony was on the line, handing out to-go and dine-in orders. He was working very hard, quickly, efficiently, and with the utmost customer service. He was patient and not flustered even though their orders were getting backed up and customers were very impatient. He offered me a free cookie for waiting over 20 minutes for my to-go order. I wish I could have tipped him individually, not just at the register. I hope he is very appreciated by his management, because he was absolutely fantastic. Don't ever order the grilled cheese! I didn't think you could mess up a grilled cheese, but Panara has made it the most disgusting ever. The bread was hard as a brick, the bottom of the bread was burnt and there was such a small sprinkle of cheese it was almost undetectable. The cheese had run out of the bread and was crusty. And to think it cost $7+! Panera you should be ashamed! This wasn't just my one order, but also that of a friend eating at our table who actually took it back to get another - they gave her a new half a sandwich (she ordered a whole) and the second half was only slightly better. read more

I get the point of a drive-thru is convenience for customers, but I don't think that should come of the cost of overall food quality. When you are so rushed that you can't melt the cheese on a grilled cheese, you are probably doing something clearly wrong and should slow down. I frequent this Panera the most because it's convenient and has a drive-thru, which is a nice plus! The food is consistent and good. However, the service through the drive-thru can be hit or miss. And I've had a few incorrect items, which is pretty disappointing when you get home and realize it. Haven't eaten inside this location, so I can't speak for the cleanliness, etc.! For the most part, I enjoy the food at Panera Bread and the convenience of this location, so I'll still continue to come. read more

I have been coming to this location since it opened, however no more. I will happily drive out of my way to another location. My issues with this location: * Often are out of souffles, regardless of when you get there. Very frustrating. * Drive-thru service is terrible, 50/50 chance you get what you ordered. I have had to drive to the window to order because the person taking orders was chatting on their phone. Majority of the time they are not friendly. The other day the person did not say a single word! Rude. * The lot is so dirty, grass is not cut, there is trash everywhere - I have been looking at the same flossing stick by the ordering pedestal since last winter, inexcusable. Does your manager not walk their location? * The overall service is terrible and this location is very poorly run. Just do yourself a favor and drive a few miles up Midlothian and go to the other location, they are everything this location is not. read more

Made an online pick up order, first time at this location since I'm new to the area. My order was correct and ready when I got there. It was around 7:30 am dining room was empty but drive thru was steady. I was hoping to find this location to be my morning coffee spot but there was no great morning vibe. No "good mornings" no "thank you" no nothing. I really enjoy a place that is enthusiastic about welcoming guest in and I in turn like to feel that I can get to know the great people at my favorite neighborhood morning spot. Love that this Panera will deliver to those that are local in the area! I work in the boulders and this is the best thing ever!!! There is a 3.00 delivery charge but it's worth it on those long days when you can't get away or forget to bring your lunch. This Panera is small inside but the drive through is an amazing option and makes life easier if you need to pick up bagels for a morning meeting and are running late. For a Panera I was very impressed with this location. The staff was nice and helpful. They have a drive thru and the latest technology. There is a board that shows which meals they are preparing and which are ready. Touch screen ordering is coming soon too. I've been here for both breakfast and lunch with no issues. This is one of my favorite Panera's. I've ordered at the kiosk, via the app and drivethru. Each time my order has been accurate, ready and delicious! Urgently, needed a close breakfast location off the Chippenham Parkway. My son had to do a fasting blood test and was ready to eat his arm off! We went to the drive thru, but it might have been better named as "the crawl thru". Not clear what the problem was, but service was at a turtle's pace. My son was less than thrilled. Worst Panera Bread I have ever go to. This place is really close to our place which made it very convenient. HOWEVER, they either forget our food, make our order wrong, or they give us someone else's food, you name it! They have been messing up our food ever since we started getting food from this location. I am a regular panera customer but this was certainly not a regular panera standards visit. Ate lunch there today, with more than one disappointment. Placed order, got beverage and found no sweetener, no lids, no straws. It took about 20 minutes to get food prepared, there were other customers standing there waiting and actually picking up other customers food, walking away and then bringing it back because it wasn't theirs. Once we finally got our order, nothing was correct. The salad had wilted, discolored, old lettuce. The sandwich was supposed to have pesto instead of the mayo...it did not. I've had to go up to the counter after a lot of time passed to get our food, which happened to be waiting but no one called us and the pager didn't go off. I usually order from this location, however they fell short today. Firstly the salad I usually order was half the amount it normally is. I can't believe omitting half the salad was necessary but apparently today it was. Also, I had asked them to put lettuce on my sandwich but that didn't happen either. It left me wondering if there was a lettuce shortage in the house or the lettuce master was just half asleep. Lastly, I ordered a sweet tea and if you're like me you need lots of ICE in your sweet tea. I think they added about 4-5 cubes and of course I had room temperature tea instead of iced tea. Yikes. I normally NEVER write a bad review but this is the second time I've had a bad experience here. My wife was having an awful day and said she wanted Panera so I drive to this location to pick up food for her. My buzzer went off and I approached the window and they said they were out of the ravioli that I already paid for. They offered me a replacement so I called my wife and she said a Large Mac N Cheese. I told the attendant and she said she will tell the manager. The Manager comes out and says he can do half Mac and Half Ravioli (I guess try had enough for half) so I said, YES that's great. Then they called me up and I grabbed my food, inspected it, and say that they gave me a small bowl of tortellini and a broken cookie. FAR from what I was told I was getting. I was very frustrated and left even though I should have complained and waited another fifteen minutes for possibly another wrong number. I WILL PROBABLY NEVER GO TO THIS PANERA AGAIN and it is very unfortunate let alone inconvenient considering they are very close to me. UGH!! I went back and they replaced my half of a tortellini with a large Mac and free chips and a cookie without asking. Thank you for being so understanding, apologetic, and helpful. read more

Their food tastes amazing but they have messed up my delivery orders twice. First time they forgot my drink and second time they forgot my bread bowl. I had called and asked for a refund for the bread bowl since I didn't receive it. They said a driver was about to come back out to my area anyway so they could drop a bread bowl off. I was really in the mood for something light today so Panera was the obvious choice for me today plus it's fairly close to home. I decided on the New England Clam Chowder and a half of the turkey panini and oh yeah, the free birthday pastry I've been saving for a month now which was a decadent pecan roll. The clam chowder was good I thought. It's not the real deal stuff you'd get in a New England restaurant but it was passable. The panini was the best part though. It was loaded with thinly sliced turkey breast, cheddar and then grilled to perfection. It was very enjoyable. The aforementioned pastry was fresh, sticky and oh so good. I generally don't do sweets but if it's free I won't turn it down. I've visited this Panera quite a few times and have always liked it. They keep it up nice and are always pleasant and eager to please. I will be returning soon, I'm sure. read more

I like this particular Panera the best just because of the layout and such, but they REALLY need to do a better job of keeping the place clean and stocked.
