This Panera consistently provides horrible service for our online orders. We are always missing parts of our meals or ingredients in our food. We stopped visiting this location for a while and finally thought we could try it again, thinking that it couldn't always be that bad. But it was. We are always missing toppings that we pay extra for, like avocado, in addition to standard ingredients in the salads, like cheese. We had two salads in one order that were missing cheese, and one of them was a Caesar salad that only had 4 ingredients to begin with! Also, you always have to check your bag for utensils here before you leave, they are usually missing from the order bag. The manger at this location is terrible at their job! Order accuracy is awful. The bakery items are NEVER put in the inventory so you cannot order them with your lunch. Ask for salt and pepper on your sandwich, so that you don't have to disassemble your sandwich and deal with packets.... NOPE. Ask for extra salt and pepper next time.... No help. They will also use the heels of a loaf of bread to make a half sandwich. Useless bastards! I've NEVER experienced such incompetence at any other Panera location! This place is horrible. I ordered online had to wait for 25 minutes for just my drink. Let along when I went home to have my dinner a "Cesar salad" that was just lettuce with dressing in a cup nothing else. I understand it can get hectic so I didn't mind waiting but when I go to eat the food I paid for dinner and end up getting that it's absolutely ridiculous, I will never be going here again. read more

This Panera has the WORST customer service ever! This is the only somewhat healthy option I have getting out of work at 9:00 pm I went there the past two nights. First night my soup was ICE cold! I just heated it up and forgot about it. The second night I ordered a sandwich with NO BACON! I got it all the way home and there was bacon on it. So I had to throw $9.00 away. What makes it even worse on the receipt and the order they look at on the screen when making the order clearly says NO BACON. I will more then likely never go to this one again! I love Paneras! I don't understand what people expect. They've taken fast food and kicked it up many notches. I like the 1/2 sandwich and soup or salad. Out of all of the other Panera locations, this one is headed downhill. The food itself is not the issue, it's the service. They have a bunch of 16-18 year old high school students running the entire place. All they do is joke with each other and play around instead of doing their jobs. The last 3 or so times I've been here I heard a few curse words and other iinappropriate banter being thrown around the kitchen area while I was waiting for my take out order. Extremely unprofessional considering how much business this place sees. Not to mention they forget stuff constantly and mess up orders. It's usually packed from about 5-8pm every night, and the line stretches all the way down the walkway to the door. So if you plan on going there during those times, order online for rapid pick up. Your order will be waiting at the door for you. They are always out of baguettes, bread bowls, and other items. I can understand being out of specialty stuff, but bread? THERE WAS BUGS IN MY FOOD!!!! I would give my review a 0 if I could. I usually get my panera from Clifton Park or Latham since I live closest to those locations as well as work close to Latham normally. Today, I worked in North Greenbush so decided to get panera delivered since I can't leave work for lunch. Let me first say that I eat panera ALL THE TIME and LOVE panera but am disgusted with my experience today. I always get the pick two but switch up what I get. Today, I got the you pick two with half of the turkey bacon bravo and half salad. While eating my sandwich, lettuce was falling out a little so I opened my sandwich to fix it.......so I thought. When I opened up the sandwich...not one but TWO bugs were inside my sandwich. I threw it out immediately but was able to get a picture of one of the pieces of lettuce with a bug inside it. Absolutely disgusting. Will never be ordering or going to this location ever ever ever again. Like most franchise businesses, the food at Panera had a good, acceptable level of quality. Where this outlet excelled was in the service. Extra cashiers appeared as soon as the line started to get long. One of the items we ordered turned out to be unavailable so our entire meal was comped. the guys convinced me to come here today for lunch despite my protests of No More Bread!! and i was so surprised. the place was stuffed to the gills, had a huge long line that moved faster than a fast food joint. there were like 5 registers open, the cashier was friendly and helpful and super efficient, we were moved along and even before i could get my drink, my soup and half sandwich was up. the cheddar broccoli soup was very yummy with large chucks of broccoli (and not just stems) and my asiago roast beef sandwich was very tasty. even the lady busing tables was incredibly friendly and asked if she could take my tray so that i 'didn't muss my lovely outfit'. i will say it again. i am impressed... and i managed to resist the allure of all that lovely golden delicious looking bread. read more

Terrible service last Friday night. Food was brought out in filthy bowls. The food was stuck hard onto both bowls and the inside of the Mac and cheese bowl looked like someone scraped the inside with their fork. I don't ever complain about food when I go out but I could not eat out of that, it was disgusting. I brought it back and asked for a new meal and was told the bowls were dirty from their gloves but if that was the case it would not have been hardened on like it was. I tried to wait while they made a new meal but they insisted they would bring it to me so I reluctantly went back to my seat. After 15 minutes and watching the same girl that brought my food initially deliver food to several other customers near me I finally went up and asked if mine was ready. I was then told by someone new that she didn't even know she needed to make anything new. (Meanwhile, at least 4 other employees that had been present when I asked for a new meal were still there, and none acknowledged me when I came back for my food. I'm beyond disgusted with this place and will never be back. I understand things happen but the least they could do was make it right and they couldn't even be bothered. read more

I have found this and other Panera locations in the Capital Region to be miserly with the amount of meat that they put on their half sandwiches. I have to take my sandwich back to the counter and show it to the sandwich maker and then they finally put a bit more meat on the sandwich. Just Wednesday night, I bought a soup and half sandwich to bring to my wife from the newer Panera near AMC Hospital on New Scotland Ave. in Albany. My wife did not taste or sense any chicken on her sandwich until her last bite of it. The miserly meat has greatly dampened my desire to buy sandwiches from Panera, although some of there soups and baked goods are fine. At the East Greenbush location, I have experienced miserly meat pretty much every time I order a sandwich there, while my wife has had better luck with her sandwiches. I am not a big eater which is why half a sandwich should due, but when it is supposed to have meat, it should have a decent amount. read more

This is absolutely my favorite Panera location, it is amazing!!!! If I averaged together how often I go there, I would put it at 2-3 times per week, no exaggeration. I would say, since my discovery of a love for Panera's, I have ordered upwards of 100 times, and again, I don't think that is an exaggeration, and have only had maybe 5-6 times that I have ever had a problem with my order. And when I say problem I don't mean that my meal was entirely messed up. One time I asked for country bread instead of the asiago baguette the Asiago roast beef sandwich comes on, and I realized I really love that bread. Usually the only issues I have is my side choice is forgotten, which isn't a big deal because you have plenty of food to eat as it is. Now some people will criticize Panera and say its expensive, but I say you are paying just as much as you would at a McDonald's or Subway, etc. and the quality of food is better. Also, I would say majority of the staff here is excellent. I have a few that I I think are a bit flighty, but those are few and far between. They are excellent there! read more

I never really loved panera. I thought their bagels couldn't hold up to independent bagel shops in NJ. Their everything bagel should be renamed a some stuff bagel. The cream cheese they use doesn't taste that good either. So now I'm trying to drop some weight , eat better, and using the my fitness pal app which is great. We're at panera today and I'm looking at the food and noticing that they don't post calories on their fold out menu. So I break out the app. Most of the sandwiches I like fall into the 700 - 980 calorie range. I'm shocked. I thought panera was supposed to be the better choice. I usually get a bacon turkey bravo. This clocks in at 790 calories. A Big Mac is only 550 and the Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich is 530 calories. So if your trying to limit your caloric intake, panera is not the best choice unless you want their small apples, which I opted for today instead of chips or additional bread. Some of the bread is good, but I can get better and cheaper at Trader Joe's. Panera seems to have pulled the wool over most people's eyes as a healthy choice/alternative. I'm not buying into it. I know a Big Mac isn't the healthier choice...but I'm really surprised at my findings about panera. Eating at home is still best. read more

Terrible service, rude employees, dirty. Today they told my husband & me that they don't serve dark coffee after 2pm. Huh? We waited 15 minutes for them to make some for us, when it didn't happen, we asked for a refund. All the other panera in the city whether Manhattan, Queens or Brooklyn always get something wrong (either they forget the chicken, the crouton or the spinach etc.). If I could post a negative star I would. The food was disgusting and I am far from a "picky" person. How can a "grilled cheese" be this bad? Take 2 pieces of bread that looked and felt like leftover toast from morning, place a cheese spread in between, and call it a day.
