I stopped in recently on a Friday evening to grab food and get some work done. The customer service was great and my food was ready fairly quickly. There was a moderate amount of people sitting around, so there was ample seating available. I got a sandwich and soup. The advertisement said it was a "new" baked potato soup, but it tasted the same as it always has; yet it was pricer than I remember. This restaurant was so dirty! The floor had all kinds of food on it and every single table in the place was dirty with a combination of food stains and crumbs. I saw a worker brush crumbs onto the floor from one table and then bridled try to use a vacuum brush on that area of the floor but left the rest a mess. No one wiped down the tables. You could not sit at one. It makes me wonder what the kitchen must look like. I will not go back there. read more

What a terrible place to eat ! The worst customer service I've had with Panera . The ordering lady was the only person that was nice. We came at 8 pm and I ordered a cup of Mac and cheese for my kids that was supposed to come with fresh bread and we got precut old bread with barely warm mac and cheese for $7 ! Panera is open until 9 pm but they said they already doing the dishes so everything will be in take out containers. I can't stress enough the importance of hospitality in the food service industry. Warm smiles and a customer greeting should be mandatory. It must be end of day vibes because the staff was about as dry as roast can get. Moving slow, checking phones, standing around moping. And I just came for a cup of coffee. The employee at the register couldn't figure out exactly what the customer in front of me wanted so I ended up using the app so that I wouldn't have to stand in line any longer. Panera, the chain of consistently good food, with inconsistent levels of service and cleanliness. Sadly, I'm finding more and more of their locations lacking in these core competencies. This particular store included. Walked in at 11:30am hoping to get a bagel with bacon & cheese. The young lady behind the counter said they're no longer doing breakfast, in spite of the breakfast menu still posted. She added that they can't do eggs. I assured her that's fine, as I don't like eggs anyway. She was insistent that there was no way to do a bagel with bacon and cheese. I ordered my wife the turkey, bacon, avocado BLT. No problem! I then asked the obvious... the BLT has bacon, right? "Yes, it does." At that point a young man came from the kitchen and heard me ask once again to please put the same bacon that is used on the BLT onto a bagel with some cheese. He grabbed the bagel and got right on it, so I was able to finally enjoy one of their delicious everything bagels with bacon & white cheddar. After eating, I returned to buy a cookie for the road, which is usually offered for .99 with meal purchase. She rang it up and asked for my $2.29, so I of course inquired about the .99 deal (not that the extra $1.30 would have ruined my day). She said that I hadn't asked for it, so I reminded her that she hadn't offered it, at which time she canceled the order and told me to enjoy the cookie. Oh, I did!!! A few other observations; the iced tea urn was empty. The restroom and the door leading to the patio was dirty. Getting to the coffee station was difficult due to "wet floor" cones blocking the way. Ordering was enjoyable the cashier was nice. After that it all went downhill. Our Sausage croissant came without sausage, and when I took it back up, they just put a sausage patty on the plate so it became a build your own sandwich. The ham and cheese breakfast bagel came with two small slices of ham and a very small slice of cheese and an over toasted bagel. I like to stop in this shopping center whenever I'm about to board a plane on my way back home from visiting family in SC, which is pretty often. My daughter selected Panera Bread this time & I love Panera, so we stopped. It was Tuesday, January 4th - in between breakfast & lunch - a little after 10am. There was no line at the register and the lady behind the counter waited patiently as we discussed our options. She had greeted us politely behind her mask when we entered. My daughter opted for breakfast & chose the egg white, avocado & spinach on ciabatta bread ($6.19). I had my breakfast early, so I ordered lunch - a Greek salad ($8.49) and the pepperoni & sausage flatbread ($10.29). I didn't notice at the time that my salad was missing the tomatoes that were pictured. Nor did I notice my pizza was lacking the generous amount of cheese & pepperoni shown in the picture at the counter. The staff member behind the counter politely told us they would bring it out to us so we sat down nearby at a counter. A few minutes later, I heard a name called out from the back & someone got up to pick up their food. A few minutes later, I went to check on our food. It was sitting on the counter, in front of the cooks. I mentioned to the woman there that I was picking up our order. She didn't ask for a name or seem to care, especially when I mentioned that the woman in the front had told us it would be brought to us. Needless to say, the pizza wasn't hot. Shame, I only ate a couple of pieces and told my daughter to take the rest home. The salad was really good, nice and fresh. My daughter enjoyed her sandwich, no complaints. We rarely get the type of service in these parts that we do in Dallas, I try to overlook it for my daughter's sake, but geez, management should care more about the reviews - I really wanted to give it more **** Never forget there is a lot of competition out there. read more

I usually love Panera and it is a staple when I travel. I typically love the consistency and flavors of the food and often it is nice to have something familiar when traveling away from home. This Panera fell short on many fronts. I don't blame the store for being out of everything at 5:00 pm, it just shows the place is popular amongst the locals. However, the items I ordered where cold, prepared incorrectly and we had multiple items missing from our order. Fortunately, the staff was always courteous and friendly...I just wish the food was as good as the team serving it. Try harder Panera, the people of Pooler deserve it! read more

Flabbergasted by how little innards comes in this $11 sandwich. This is a loaf of bread with a couple pepperoni in it. I could have found more meat on a eunuch. We are retired and travel frequently - often seeking out a Panera along the road. On 4/29/23 we stopped at the Panera in Pooler, GA. As we were ordering the cashier suggested we select a Pick 2 from the menu. We asked a few questions about what that entailed. She wasn't very effective in explaining it to us. But in order to avoid holding up the line we agreed to the Pick 2 because we believed it was the economical thing to do. As it turned out we paid pre-tax $20.46 for two half sandwiches (lower end) and two soft drinks - exactly the same as if we purchased the items separately. As a retired financial services exec, I know all about rising costs. However, IMO, the cost for what we received was excessive. As we were leaving, I took pics of the menu board and still can't figure it out. We will think more than twice about visiting another Panera. read more

I've been through this Panera about a dozen times in the past several years and I don't think they've EVER gotten my order right on the first try. Two stars instead of one because despite their overall incompetence they're really friendly. At this point I almost feel like it's my fault that tonight I made a second 20 mile round trip since I know this location has major issues and still drove all the way home without checking the food. One of the worst managed Panera Breads I have ever seen. Here's a quick list of our experience: 1. No toilet paper in bathroom (only one stall) 2. No paper towels in bathroom (overflowing in the garbage pail) 3. Communication between assistant manager and cooks not friendly and awkward. Cooks didn't seem to like being told what to do. 4. My son's grilled cheese sandwich looked like someone vomited between two pieces of bread. 5. My order and my wife's order were both wrong. This was even after I went up to the counter to tell them they had my order wrong on the ticket. 6. When the manager came over to issue refund, he didn't ask what was wrong. Said nothing, gave us our money back, turned his back on us, and walked away. There is simply no effort whatsoever at this location. The morale is terrible. The only reason I'm not giving it a 1 Star is because the cashiers were friendly and we didn't barf or get shot. read more

There was one employee working the front and doing 4 different things while balancing orders while we counted 2-3 employees walking aimlessly around the back doing nothing. My soup was barely lukewarm at one visit. We spend quite a lot here when we visit, because I love Panera, but I kind of want to stop trying. The dining area is consistently unkept with crumbs on the tables and trash under the tables. We spoke with a manager one time and she was kind.
