We LOVE Panera! Especially the new duets! The options are limited but the price is $8.00. Pictured is a soup and salad from yesterday! My favorite is their turkey sandwich and wild rice soup! Service is always prompt! Bathroom was clean, large and well stocked! I love the serve yourself beverage bar! The fireplace adds a nice touch!

Thin, hard, bagel with giant hole.

We ordered our bagels for Easter brunch from here. Picked them up Easter morning, and they were the saddest bagels we had ever seen. They were thin and the hole was giant, especially in the everything, plain, and blueberry bagels. I've included a photo of the everything bagel. We ordered then sliced, they were not. They were rock hard, and difficult to cut with our serrated bread knife.

If you like pits with your bagels, this is the place for you

Felt like having a bagel. Pico Rivera is always an experience. This Panera really needs a redo. Carpets need a cleaning, paint needs refreshing, the non-working fireplace should be fixed. Apparently Panera no longer sells the onion and chives cream cheese. Oh Panera, what is going on with you?

found a bee in my panera salad, never going there again.

I got the salad and a sandwhich from panera. I was enjoying my meal until I saw something that looked like a raisin and thought it wasn't anything. I look closer and I see the wings of a bee in my salad. It grossed me out so bad I through the entire thing away along with the sandwich ai had barley bit into. Lost appetite and lost of money. Will not be going back.

Mini chocolate chip cookie. Super good! Fresh af at 9am!

They got me with the free coffee. Not gone lie But that's it. Check my other reviews. I don't mess with Panera's food. Just the coffee and pastries. Maybe. This is one of my regular Panera's. It has bad reviews. Just thought I'd shed some light on this one. The people that work here are always in a good mood and helpful. So shout out to the morning crews. Keep up the good work.

Shame on the people who vandalized the bathroom with grafitti, but that didn't stop employees from not locking the restroom with passcodes, meaning only a few of those delinquents hung around. The reason I said that was some Panera was populated with homeless that they had to put locks in the washroom to prevent them breaking in. The place was rather clean and neat, wifi was stable not glitchy, plenty of working wall outlets to charge electronic devices, and unlimited sips here I go :)

Everything bagel and coffee of course !

I visit this restaurant frequently and the service is great. The food portions are sizeable, taste great. My favorite is the oatmeal.

Love Panera. They have a new "power" salad menu. If it comes with eggs though sometimes they forget to dice it for you.

Probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had!…read more I'll be honest, when my husband suggested we drive 39 minutes for sandwiches, I was initially like... are we really doing this? But by the time we were leaving Uptown provisions, all I could think about was how incredibly worth the drive it was! From the moment we walked in, I loved the vibe. The space is so cool, and everyone was super welcoming. We watched a steady stream of locals come in to grab food they ordered online. You can also grab your drinks and chips from the fridge and shelves before ordering your sandwich. I ordered Tom's Way Egg Sandwich, and as someone who LOVES egg sandwiches and pastrami, I couldn't believe I'd never thought to put the two together! It comes with cheese, pickled onions, and this delicious orange sauce that isn't even mentioned in the description. The combination was SO good. I was honestly shocked by how much I loved it and would absolutely order it again and again. So glad I took a chance on something a little different! My husband got the Uptown and said the smoked turkey was so bomb. He doesn't usually even like avocado, but he was absolutely chomping away at this sandwich So I'd say that's a pretty solid endorsement! We also tried the Mela watermelon water, which was SO light, refreshing, and delicious. Definitely keeping an eye out for those cans now! Whittier is lucky to have this little gem. It seems like the locals know what's up because there was a constant flow of people coming in who clearly love this place. We got lucky with parking. We will absolutely be back again and again, and next time, I won't be questioning the 39 minute drive.

A sandwich sounded really good for lunch and this spot was it, it was packed and I understand why…read more Beware of street parking, we did have to circle around the block twice on a Friday afternoon but it was worth it. Pastrami Reuben -ratio of pastrami to sauerkraut was perfection. Pickled onions tied everything together, soo good! Only down side to my sandwich was the pastrami was pretty fibrous/stringy but it was only a couple of pieces which didn't upset me too much. Tom's Way -pretty wet sandwich but everything paired well. Flavorful and filling but doesn't leave you feeling heavy. Spicy Gabagool -the sauce they use is chef's kiss. Not so much spicy but more of a season spiced. Really wanted to try their Lemon Crumb Bars but the girl ahead of me grabbed the last one. Just an excuse to come back for more sandwiches hahhaha. Opted for a Pecan Pie Bar instead; a bit more elevated than a regular pecan bar, crispy pecan added just the right amount of texture. Loved the caramel flavor but slightly too sweet for my liking.

One of the best chili cheese dogs I've ever had!…read more Ordered the #5 Cheese burger, chili cheese dog and regular fries. Pretty fair combo for the price, the service is quick at the counter and they make it in front of you. Parking is located all around the building and readily available, there is an out door dining area by the parking lot. Very cool spot on Whittier Blvd, good quality food and quick service.

However, the location may put some off…read morefrom venturing to the place; I came during the day with my wife and mother-in-law, and it was OK. But at night, I'm not so sure I'd take my wife or mother-in-law there; it may be fine, but I don't want to find out. BTW - Dirty Vegas - Days Gone By (some of you will get it) Anywho, moving on. We ordered the following; 1 Chicken Sandwich 2 Chili dogs with cheese 1 Chili fry 1 Soda for a total of $38.51 (cash) My first mistake; not taking a photo of the current 'Menu' board; it is different from what's shown here; it has been updated. However, there is a 'Grilled Chicken Sandwich' on the menu board that is not offered... instead, they offer a tiny fried (breaded) and processed chicken disk-shaped patty; a 'sandwich' honestly, not worth buying... stick to the chili burgers or chili dogs. My honest opinion on this chicken sandwich is this, it should just be removed altogether from the menu -- it is of no real value to customers as it is, and it lowers the quality of menu items being offered. The Chili, however, is their selling point -- stick to that, and they'll do well. Chili dogs are good; a decent, long, slightly snappy dog on a regular small bun, but lightly smothered with a decent portion of chili; not too messy and easy to eat - not a 'Great Value' but an OK value for today's pricing. The Chili Fries were also good; not great but good. The portion if generous but the fries quickly turned soft before I could plow into them. I do like some crispy fries with my Chili. However, while soggy, the flavor was good. I can't make a recommendation on this until I try another batch of chili fries from Chroni's. If, however, the fries remain soaked, soft & soggy, I'd then pass on ordering Chili Fries but just go straight to ordering regular fries with a side order of Chili -- I hate soft soggy fries that much. As for the soda; a large is an OK size. However, I cannot say if they offer a refill; I didn't go back to ask for one. But I'd hope a refill is available for the price... it'd be a shame if they didn't offer a refill. Pastrami: I got to taste a sample of the Pastrami, and it is really good. Here is where Chroni's could kick it up a notch; Chroni's does not have Bacon - Huge Disappointment and Missed Opportunity, I feel. With the Pastrami they do offer, IF made available; with Bacon, they could add one more menu Item that I know for a fact would sell: The Monster Burger - it is simply this: Bacon Cheeseburger with Pastrami, Chili, Onions & Pickles, and mustard. If they'd add this one to their menu, I'd be back for sure. Just saying; something for Chroni's to think about. Get rid of the chicken, add the bacon. Seating: Oh, yeah; seating; Lots of outdoor seating... we were there on a Sunday and there were plenty of open tables. Parking: Lots of Parking too... for most parts or time, parking should not be an issue as I had thought it would be. I nearly parked 3 blocks away in anticipation of the lot being full; that was because I had not been there before, and the parking on the street was loaded; not knowing Chroni's had its own parking, I feared the worst. But as we got there, I was amazed to see, they had plenty of open parking space. Restrooms: I cannot say anything about the restrooms; I didn't need to go nor looked to see how they were kept. My take-away for Chroni's is this; it is a throw-back to an early time when Snack Shack foods were a regular thing in L.A.; a nostalgic place with Lots of Promise and Potential, but where Pricing is a sign of the modern times; a bit high for Chroni's to be a regular place, but it is what it is. However, the staff are really friendly, nice & polite. My hope for Chroni's would be to focus on promotions & higher sales volume with an emphasis toward lowering prices as demand begins to grow once again. By minimizing the menus and just focusing on turning Chroni's back into High Quality Chili & Chili Burger Shack -- this would definitely help increase sales once prices come down a bit. And if done right, there will still be lots of opportunity to turn a nice profit. 5 Stars for Friendly & Nice Service 2 Stars on the Chicken & Soft/Soggy Fries 4 Stars for Seating 4 Stars for Parking 3 Stars for Cleanliness/Outdoor Dining/Restrooms (???) and bus bench/streetside characters. And, 5 Stars for Potential Overall - 3.5 Stars for now.

There was ample beef in the sandwich. The corn cake was not too sweet and the guava jelly on top enhanced the cake well. A pineapple-orange aqua fresca was a good, refreshing beverage accompaniment.
