I had their French onion soup a while back and it was disgusting. I haven't had panera since. I used to always go to the panera in Cerritos and never had a complain. So today I came in to get a hair cut at supcuts next door and decided to get a tea or coffee I decided to get a chi tea latte but when I walked in no one was at the registers I waited like 5 mins for anyone to come out. A chunty lady popped out and asked if I was ready to order. I said um yea after waiting in pretty sure I'm ready. I asked for the chi tea and i asked for soy milk she said they don't have it but they have almond milk I said ok. I get charged 4.50 I was like what.... And they charged me for almond milk with out even telling me. I mean if you're going to charge me more at least have the decency of telling me . read more

Some Panera locations are ran better then others, this Pico restaurant continues to have problems with just about everything. Never see the same employees here for to long, so that's can't be good for the company and definitely not good for the customer with regards to consistency in customer service. More often then not, the tables inside are not clean at lunch time. We had to clean our own table (again) since the one and only server was trying to get the orders out. It was really busy for lunch, so they were probably just having a bad day.......at the end, I blame the manager on duty and of course the regional manager.... get with it Panera. In all fairness, this place is good for salads and if I remember correctly - some sandwiches, and the pastries are good too. I would stay away form the pasta - but that's just me. read more

I've never felt I had to write a bad review specially not here at Panera one of my favorite restaurants but I actually got the worst salad EVER!! I've been to la Mirada, Whittier, Cerritos, Lakewood panera's many many times and i always get the freshest salads and Pico Rivera apparently doesn't care. I got a Fiji chicken salad that apple chips that were small flakes from the bottom of the package and they were sooooo stale and the lettuce was black. This location lacks professionalism, communication, and customer service skills. They seem to have hired people who don't really seem to care if they get an order right or not. They don't seem to find if the customer is happy or not. I can understand get an order wrong once but I've been here a handful of times and every single time our order is not complete or wrong to begin with. There is one Manager who is nice, I don't remember his name. The females that work the register always seem to have other things on their mind like their cellphones while a customer waits at the register then to be greeted in an unprofessional way. Kudos to Panera and the staff today. My family and I went durning the lunch crunch noon hour. The service was friendly and the order was brought to us within 10 minutes. We had a large order and everything we ordered was correct. We were able to find a large table, my only thing is the table needed attention. Other than that everything was great. it's not the food, its the people that work there. I couldn't get an order right if their lives counted on it. It's a real shame because they have a potential for being a great place to eat. I like panera and their bacon and cheese soufflés but this store here in Pico never has them. It's barely 9 and Breakfast is served here til 1030. I've been here 3 times and they've never had them. Decided to come here for coffee and some lunch today as a little splurge. It was just after noon, but it wasn't all that busy when my husband and I walked in. However, we decided to forego the cashier and use the kiosk, especially because we haven't seen that before. I love the fact that you can customize everything on the menu that you order through the kiosk. My husband and I both got the you pick 2 combos since they're a decent value and filling. All of the food tasted good, but my big complaint is that my French onion soup was barely a lukewarm temperature by the time it was brought out to me. It didn't really take that long, either, so something tells me they dished out my soup before they even started to make the sandwiches. I like this location. Most employees are friendly. The bathrooms are decent. It is a decent size location and the sitting areas are comfy. Plus they have free wifi. This Panera is breaking my heart! I LOVE Panera. I especially love THIS Panera. Dining in is always a great experience, but recently every to-go order has been disappointment. I mean, whatever food they CHOOSE to give me is always great and served with a smile, but ...it's NEVER WHAT I ORDERED. lol Today they offered to combine something to make something else cheaper.. anyways I guess they deleted half my order (after they had repeated it back correctly) and gave me a different soup... uhh what?... As a first time customer, I opted for the online ordering app. After arriving I was shown the pickup section and to my surprise; I had no order ready for pickup. John quickly asked to see my email receipt. In a few minutes he moved the order to the correct day and had a coworker get my order ready. I was in and out of there in less than five minutes. I love Panera's food, it's my all time favorite. I'm always on the go so I utilize the Panera App and rapid pick up. No matter how far in advance I order it from this location it is never ready. Loved it here. Went really early on a cold morning. Has a bowl of chili coffee then the asked me if I wanted to add this pecan roll. The coffee refills are free. I don't do cow's milk asked if they have soy which they did. AWESOME! The staff was extremely friendly (wish I could be that way early in the morning) lol. But this one lady in all black at the register was not. Think I was told she was a catering lady or something. Nevertheless, if you behind the counter PLAY NICE "lady in all black". When in the area I would definitely visit again. Btw if your first time to Panera or just haven't visited a location in awhile like me take a look at a take home menu first before getting in line. My boyfriend and I love coming to Panera. Our food is always fresh. The service is usually on point. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Today was, my first time at Panera Bakery Cafe', place is very nice, I also liked that They have the Kiosks to make orders. However I noticed the rest of my party ended up waiting through the line to order and they ended up getting their food first, even tho we had finished ordering at the same time. Anyways in the end it was worth the wait. The food is very good, I got pick the two. I got chili and the chipotle avocado chicken sandwich with steak added to it, with backed chips and a strawberry banana smoothie with ginseng.
