I am floored right now. I was craving my favorite salad (The BBQ Chicken Salad) from Panera. I called them before I left work and drove 15 mins to make sure they had the salad.....I thought I was being proactive.... The man on the phone told me they had the salad, I told him i wanted to make 100% sure due to the distance i was going to drive, he "double checked" and told me he was positive they could make the salad. I get there, and the lady tells me they dont have the dressing for the salad.....What is this world coming to when you call into a place, they promise you they have the capability to make the food you request, and they cant even do that. I normally would have bought something else but I was so shocked that Panera as a franchise let me go through all of that trouble to let me walk out of the front door without being served the food i was promised. It is what it is, the food at all Panera breads should be of similar quality. While I think the whole chain is overpriced, I really enjoy their soups and Mac n cheese. Been to this location twice. Smaller than most, low tech, employees aren't very nice. My soup was ok, my grilled cheese wasn't cooked at all. The cheese wasn't even melted. Let me begin by saying I am a BIG fan of the Panera Bread chain, I frequent the location near my office, and having one close to home was exciting! Being that this one has only been open for a short period of time, I have visited twice... the first time service was slow, so I figured growing pains, they'll get better at it! My food was delicious and exactly as I expected from Panera, and the same goes for the other two meals purchased during that visit... now lets talk about my most recent visit. I'm going to summarize as much as possible... I decided to be efficient as I don't like to waste time... and I called in an order for 4, the guy that answered the phone seemed new, handed the phone off to someone as if I was calling his house and asked to talk to his friend. I let it go, but this is where it began... The woman was slow in taking my order, and let's just say that after a looong talk and a few "can you please hold so that I can check on that", I got off the phone at 3:19pm, this is on a Saturday. She asked for 20 minutes to have my order ready, so I figured perfect... food will be ready at 3:40... I showed up at 3:46 and waited about 3 minutes for the woman at the phone order counter to finalize the order for the customer ahead of me. She then tells me to hold on as she answers the phone and takes an order for someone else, just under 7 minutes. About 10 minutes just waiting... mind you the line at the front counter is now GONE! All waiting for their food. So I figure, I'll just add some pastries to my order and be gone, what the heck Im up-selling myself... I promptly paid, after she went to look for a pen to sign the receipt, and waited another 4 minutes for my two muffins, and I got handed the muffins... "excuse me, what about my food?" "Oh go wait over there" I'm told as she points to the pick up counter... and then it gets better! About 5 dine-in orders and 3 take-out orders... fulfilled... mind you these people ordered AFTER I got there. So I ask the "shift manager" Destiny who is working hard behind the counter, "Excuse me is my order ready, I called it in at 3:20 and I've been standing here for about 10 minutes (about 40 minutes since I got off the phone now)... she says "Oh it cause we're busy" without even looking at me... thats when I had enough "I said its been 40 minutes since I ordered my food, how much longer will it take?" She didn't acknowledge me, simply shouted orders at staff and a while later, my order was thrown together, placed in a bag, and she said "There it is..." WOW!!!! Excuse me for bothering you, is exactly what I wanted to say, but since I had 3 others waiting for food at home, and my mom was with me, I decided to play it cool. I walk to a table to check my order... ( I wish I'd taken pictures) my order was complete, but a DISASTER, all thrown together. As I'm noticing a half-sandwich is missing, a kitchen employee walks up to me with what is supposed to be a sandwich, looking more like a Mc-Donalds egg-mcmuffin that was barely wrapped and said in a coy demeanor, "sorry for the wait, we forgot your sandwich" I'm sure she was embarrassed to be a part of that circus...I tried to be polite and thanked her, and let her know this service was completely unacceptable, she offered me a free pastry, but come on... a free pastry for walking out of there 56 minutes after I placed the order... I've maybe waited that long for a fine-dining restaurant so that my steak is cooked properly, not Panera, not even a pizza. To sum it up: Slow service Lack of communication from staff and shift manager The manager had no leadership skills with her staff No customer service experience from the staff whatsoever!!!!! Sloppy food presentation Bread was stale Maybe they should limit the amount of customers to 10 an hour so that they can learn how to run this place efficiently. There are plenty of food options in this area... I'll continue to enjoy Panera for lunch at work! read more

I love love Panera bread ! My family had dinner here on Sunday. My husband received the wrong sandwich and there was a confusion in terms of where or how to get the right one. I love this place. Food is fresh, tasty and different at least to my palette. The peach Blueberry Greek smoothie is awesome. I always order the Asian chicken salad or the apple turkey sandwich. I'm pretty salty. I was craving soup and this place has a variety of soups on the menu so I thought I'd give it a shot. I might 2 different soups in bread bowls, it came out to 13 bucks total. Now don't get me wrong, both soups were good, one chicken noodle and one wild rice and chicken. But they literally give you a giant hunk of bread and like 4 spoonfuls of soup each. And you might think I'm exaggerating here, this guy, you tell yourself. Nope, it literally WAS 4 spoonfuls, I counted! Maybe it's my fault for ordering bread bowls? But they're called breadbowls not breadthimbles! Next time I'm craving soup I'll stick to ramen or pho, a bit more money per bowl but they MEAN it when they say bowl! I ordered their Bistro French Onion soup, which I occasionally order when I'm at any Panera, but the one I received here tasted funky. The onions seemed burnt, which overpowered the whole flavor. This is the first time that I encountered this. Also their utensils aren't washed properly or their usually not available because they need to be washed. We actually just left there. Such a big disappointment. The first thing was both girls taking orders were more interested in what each other were doing that they weren't very attentive taking our order. Second thing was it took 25 minutes to get our order. Third, the guy that brought us our order was nice enough the first time at our table. Fourth think, my order was WRONG. No sun-dried tomatoes on my Egg, cheese and sun-dried tomato sandwich, hmmm. Fifth thing, when he came back with tomatoes added I asked for a knife and fork, 5 minute later nothing. He then brought plastic utensils. What!!! We were eating there. I then went and got real utensils. I think though the worst thing of all was, besides the guy that brought us our food, but the kitchen staff also were inappropriate. They were talking extremely loud and talking about things they shouldn't be talking so loudly about. Wow!! Sorry for the long review. I hope management reads these. If you guys would focus more on your JOB versus consistently being immature and fooling around, maybe the chances of giving the wrong orders to customers would reduce. Some Panera locations are ran better then others, this Pico restaurant continues to have problems with just about everything. Never see the same employees here for to long, so that's can't be good for the company and definitely not good for the customer with regards to consistency in customer service. More often then not, the tables inside are not clean at lunch time. We had to clean our own table (again) since the one and only server was trying to get the orders out. It was really busy for lunch, so they were probably just having a bad day.......at the end, I blame the manager on duty and of course the regional manager.... get with it Panera. In all fairness, this place is good for salads and if I remember correctly - some sandwiches, and the pastries are good too. I would stay away form the pasta - but that's just me. read more

So yummy! I recently tried the bbq chicken salad and it was delish :) my bf loves the broccoli cheddar soup. The only reason I gave it a four instead of a 5 is because I ordered a sandwich & he ordered a panini and I was a bit disappointed. For the price they looked a Little sad :/ ahh but the scones are a must have. Love the blueberry but recently tried a cinnamon bun crumble scone. This location lacks professionalism, communication, and customer service skills. They seem to have hired people who don't really seem to care if they get an order right or not. They don't seem to find if the customer is happy or not. I can understand get an order wrong once but I've been here a handful of times and every single time our order is not complete or wrong to begin with. There is one Manager who is nice, I don't remember his name. The females that work the register always seem to have other things on their mind like their cellphones while a customer waits at the register then to be greeted in an unprofessional way.
