Food is always prepared as requested and employees I've interacted with are always pleasant and friendly. The inside is always clean when I visit. It's Lent so my go to is a tuna sandwich from Panera on a Friday. This location is closest to my parents so I work a lot from here when they watch Bubs for me. And I'm not mad about it. It's a spacious location with solid WiFi. The staff is nice and can always be seen walking around trying to keep it clean. I don't understand why Panera gets so much shade. Stop offering curbside pickup if your staff can't handle it. This is the third time I ordered curbside and had to go into the store to get my order, which defeats the entire purpose. I usually do not eat here. I only came because my cell phone carrier Verizon awarded me a $3 e-gift card from its Verizon Up rewards program. I showed the cashier the digital code and pin, which she carefully entered into the register. The slogan "It's Back" that is printed to the right of the item "French Onion soup" enticed me to order the selection. The soup came out disappointingly lukewarm. However, there was lots of visibly shredded "Gruyere" cheese and some crunchy and tasty Asiago croutons. The slice of "French" baguette was mediocre. I also wanted some hot broth, so an associate redid my order, this time with a change of side (an apple). The soup presentation was better with the melted cheese. However, I did not enjoy the cheese that Panera passes off as Gruyere. It tasted like a substitute. I prefer the French Onion soup that I tasted in Switzerland years ago after college graduation. I still savor the notoriously nutty Swiss Gruyere. Realistically, I could not get that here at Panera Bread. Nor could I get the homemade beef broth, truly caramelized onions and a flaky French baguette. The order came out to $3.51 including tax with the Verizon e-card. Employees are nice and food is very good, ATMOSPHERE IS COMPLETELY RUNIED by the homeless men who "hang-out" in the back booths near the women's bathrooms. I've seen them approach women sitting by themselves and try and initiate conversations with them. They must be homeless because they smell and their clothes are filthy. I've seen them here every time I visit this location. Have to find another location to visit and work on my computer. I'm surprised nothing is done to remove them from Panera - it brings the entire restaurant down. read more

Tiny portions with huge prices. This morning I went for a bagel, the size of the bagel has gotten so small probably about 3 inches in diamete and for $2.00 was definitely not worth the price. Patchogue Location - Wanted to give Panera one more chance after a string of less than enjoyable dining experiences (not just at Patchogue). I was once such a Panera fan but quality and service have diminished significantly. Also, the company has gotten tricky with their reward system. You can't use rewards now unless you download their app. What is that all about? In general, the former level of customer appreciation no longer exists. I'm moving on and will save a lot of money and calories because of that! Never thought I would admit that it is more fun to make my own food and eat at home. It's Panera. Always good, never amazing. I have been to lots of Panera locations but I go to this one and the one on Main St. in Huntington the most often. Compared to that one, I like this one less. Bread isn't as tasty, salads aren't as full, they run out of stuff more often, and they make more order errors. All this said, it's still Panera. I was very disappointed. I have been to other Panera stores and found the food great. A little crowded but manageable. This time we ordered online to be picked up. I ordered a sandwich from the menu but with changes. The sandwich was awful! It was chicken and avocado. The chicken was in one side with avocado on the other. I went to harvest bakery and my boyfriend and I were extremely hungry so we decided to take a pit stop at this Panera since it was close. My boyfriend and I got bread-bowls and half sandwiches. The food was decent but the bread bowls were extremely hard and cold. The Mac and cheese in mine was lukewarm and guess what... the silverware was dirty! My biggest pet peeve is when the place does not have good cleaning standards. Our table had sticky stuff on it as well. I don't want to completely say they don't wipe tables because I did see one girl going around cleaning them but someone must not have cleaned ours well. I would originally give 3.5/5 but the dirty silverware knocks this down to a 2 star. Overall the place is nice on this inside but the food could use some work and I hope they start to pay more attention when cleaning. My wife and I have eaten at Panera locations many dozens of times, and in several different locations. We were always well treated and satisfied. In fact, at this same Sunrise Highway location we were treated with exceptional consideration once when we were unsatisfied with the way something was prepared. But around 9 November 2021, I had an EXTREMELY awful experience! I stood near the counters, preparing to place an order. No one attended to me. Odd, I thought. There were two kiosks there, but, in retrospect, I wonder if the pandemic protocols had rendered the regular counter service obsolete. In any event, I was treated as an irritant by the lady behind the counter, whose first language was obviously NOT ENGLISH. Did she understand my question? Apparently not; she got the manager, a (not thin) man about 5' 11" in his thirties. He was obviously irritated with me also. He had NO INTENTION WHATEVER to attend to my problem in (unsuccessfully) trying to communicate with the worker behind the counter. And it suddenly struck my consciousness that I DO NOT NEED THIS PLACE! I have plenty of gourmet coffee at home, and my life is already full of delightful foods and pastries. I departed without getting anything. And here's the kicker: IT WAS ALL FREE! That's right, the coffee - for a whole month at least - was a promotional thing! And the pastry was free too! How bad is your company when you cannot get customers to take your stuff for FREE? I will never enter a Panera bread location in all the remaining days of my life! Good luck Blockbuster. I'm giving this location 3-stars. The restaurant is well maintained, and the staff is personable. Unfortunately, they tend to goof around a lot. The food is prepared the same way as other Panera's, but with MUCH smaller portions. Unless you pay for extra meat and cheese, you can expect mostly bread and veggies. Soup is never enough to fill a container, or hot for that matter. Yet, they charge the same price as their sister locations. Rapid pickup is anything but rapid. I wouldn't mind if the value was there, but sadly, it isn't. Hopefully, my review and others will help management turn this location around. read more

I like this Panera location because it's not overly crowded and chaotic like some of the other locations close by. The food, service, and staff are excellent. The only reason I can't give 5 out of 5 stars is because it's very small inside. There aren't many tables and chairs here and theres no private room for large groups (like at some of the other Panera Bread locations). Overall I like comming here to avoid the long lines and I will continue comming to this Panera Bread location. read more

New location, not as crowded as the other location further west on sunrise highway in Bohemia. I have eaten here twice. When I was here this location was smaller than others but super clean. The food was ready quick and very fresh. You have a full view into the kitchen so you can see how clean it is. The manager came to greet me and was really a very friendly guy. You could tell he was very busy and on top of everything and cared a large amount about running this establishment. The staff was ultra friendly, started engaging in conversation about the weather and small talk. I would rather eat here then at the busy, overcrowded, less friendly Panera counterparts. read more
