I have tried all delis in the area. This place is like "cheers" for those of you who remember that time. I enter, am warmly greeted, my order is made (as I never change the breakfast sandwich) and they go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. What an awesome experience. I ordered the all-American hero. It was, quite literally, the worst quality sandwich that I have ever had delivered to me. When I called, the man who picked up the phone and who had apparently prepared the sandwich told me that he was not allowed to talk to me and that I would have to speak to the manager or owner or someone next week. Stay away from them. Don't make the same mistake that I did. You will be disappointed!!! I threw the sandwich in the garbage. You should do the same with their phone number. read more

Driving around, I tend to find interesting places to eat. "John Moore's Deli" seemed interesting enough, so I decided to go. Parking lot was small, but there were spaces available. The building itself, didn't stand out, neither did the banner, but I wasn't there to study the building, I was there to eat. Inside, the place seemed organized enough, there where a few things on the floor. The staff approached my right away to take my order. They where nice and very friendly. I was starving and only a hero would do, that hero was a hungry man. They got my order right and once finished I exited, mostly because they had no seating, I sat in my car to eat. I have to say, that hero was excellent! They gave the right amount of meat and cheese on it (Did I ever mention I love cheese)! The bacon was crunchy and not soggy at all. The eggs where perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed my meal. I will definitely be back, I mean, my journey finally took me to a good, sandwich shop. read more

Food has declines since there was a changed of staff. Nothing is ever correct. Today I ordered a simple bagel with cream cheese, no complaints with that. However I also ordered a side of fruit, the fruit was totally disgusting, old and smelled spoiled. I had to throw it out. For $9.58 for a bagel and a bit of fruit totally wasn't worth it. This deli was a good place for breakfast. If they would only fire that witch that picks up the phone and takes the orders. She is probably the rudest human being I have ever have the displeasure of encountering. First of all, she completely messes up the order. If you call to tell them that you did not get something, she has the biggest attitude and even hung up on me. Based on all these other reviews about their customer service and this woman (term used loosely), it's a miracle that she has not been fired. She must be the owner or the owner's wife. Probably one of the best delis I ever went to!! Food is absolutely amazing for breakfast and lunch! I purchased 3 pancakes for $4.99 and asked for a side of sausage, which was priced at $1.79. This is my favorite deli in the Hauppauge Industrial area. I usually wait until about 1:30 or 2:00PM to go here since the lines are really long otherwise. The selection of sandwiches is great and they always use high-quality Boars Head products. There's a large selection of potato chips, salads and other hot items. read more

My new favorite Deli! The staff is very friendly, the place is pretty clean, and the food is fresh and delicious. I ordered a Chicken cutlet Hero, I got a masterfully crafted work of art. Delicious toasted bread with melted cheese all the bacon you could ever want with chicken cutlet... It was my dream sandwich incarnated. I seriously wish I could give 0 stars. A while ago my office ordered lunch from here as it was recommended. Literally 3 hours later it arrived. I understand it's lunch in a busy area but 3 hours? When the food arrived it was warm....shockingly and I asked the delivery guy what took so long and he said they just made it. So it took you from the time we ordered it until 2.5 hours to make 4 sandwiches? He said to call and ask for the manager and maybe get a coupon or something. Yeah, that was going to happen. Fast forward to today. I would say probably 4 months from the last incident we figured we would give them another shot. I mean maybe they had a bad day so let's not judge too hastily. 5 sandwiches were ordered. They called 2 times as they were confused, obviously. They seriously asked about the tip on a credit card as if it weren't enough. It was for one person so the tip was appropriate. 2 HOURS LATER the food arrived. No wonder the disgust about the tip on the card as all orders were thrown on the card. They couldn't have said something when they called? Not a big deal, it is what it is. They forgot most of the sides and worst of all forgot a freaking sandwich. We call and inform them they offered to credit the money as it would take a while for the sandwich. The funny thing is, they called and asked about the sandwich!!! How are you gonna call and ask about a sandwich and then forget to add it? Oh but they still charged us. The sandwiches that were delivered were dry. Asked for brown gravy on a few and I guess they were out or just failed to add some. Maybe the menu size is too large to comprehend as they can't keep track of what they are making. The chicken noodle soup has a thick layer of oil on top, chicken cutlets have been half raw, the potato salad is old and sour. Careful when you order from here, especially if you are starving. Hopefully you aren't the only one using a debit/credit card otherwise the entire bill falls on you. Granted there is cash to cover but still. read more

Very happy I found this deli. The staff is friendly and the sandwiches are some of the best of I ever had. I would recommend the turkey club and the Black Forest hero which has pastrami paired with bacon. I'll write that again, PASTRAMI WITH BACON! Definitely worth a try. read more

I only visit here a few times a year. But I really like this deli. The quality is superb. The wait is a bit long just for a hero. But it's expected with how busy this place is during lunch. This place told me specifically that it is $15 for credit card service. Not delivery. This is why I tried to keep cash as much as possible. When I came into the store to do take out, they were like giving me a strict tone asking me to hurry up when they didn't give that tone to other customers. It was only like 30 seconds that I had to decide too, which was a bit unfair. It took like 15 minutes until I got my sandwich, and the two people got theirs faster than I did. So I felt like I didn't get enough time to have my sandwich for lunch break. I've decided to call during the take out to save up more time on the next time I ordered. When I did, they told me 10 minutes and I was there within 15 minutes even though they said 10. Then when I was there, they weren't ready. They told me that I have to wait for another 10 minutes. Really? I called in to do take out and gave them 15 minutes. Also when I told them my name, they were like "I don't think we have you" at first but they checked once more and they told me that I had to wait longer. I told them that I came in at the time they told me to show up, and the worker was like, "You called in for order at the busiest time. You are gonna have to wait." So I just didn't have enough time to eat again. Third time, I've called in for breakfast delivery, and they told me that credit card with delivery was $15. So I said I'll just pay by cash. They didn't ask further questions and they delivered the food after an hour. It was quite late, but it was fine since it was less than $15 where I could have paid for extra stuffs that I didn't need. Fourth time, I've called in for breakfast delivery again. The lady on the phone was extremely rude, and gave a harsh tone, and asked me to pay $15. And I told her that I didn't need to pay $15 last time and I told her that I was notified that it was $15 delivery with credit card. She didn't respond for a bit and told me that I had to pay $15 next time. Really? Like I have to pay $15? - Food was late, and half cooked. I feel like they kind of gave me a finger because I didn't pay $15 and they were giving me along the message: "you didnt follow our new policy to change prices whenever we feel like it." - also might I like to add, that they charged $2.50 on the delivery fee because they assumed I wasn't going to pay the delivery fee. I gave the delivery guy $3.00 for a tip. I didn't give more tip this time because they decided to charge me through the receipt instead. I have no reason to. This was my last straw. I ate at Se-Port Deli in Port Jefferson and they don't do deliveries, but they always got things done and were always nice and prepared on time for take out. Since this seemed to be the most fair and good deli in my work area, I tried to order here - but this is a major disappointment. Like I love the food here, but the way people treat customers like a grumpy harsh tone - I don't feel like coming here. I usually give places one or three more chances depending on how they do, and this is definitely one of those places I gave several chances. read more
