So here's the deal... It's a deli. It happens to be a very good deli, with good food and service. Located in the middle of a strip mall, there's nothing fancy about it. The place is clean and the food in the deli counter looks fresh. Even the owner was very sweet. My only gripe is that when I ordered my food, I noticed that there was an additional charge. I asked what the charge was, and the owner said that it's to cover the rising costs of food that they hadn't gotten around to updating the menu yet. Is the double edge sword because on one hand, I understand, but on the other hand, your prices are ready "fair" and shouldn't have to be passed on the consumer as everything else is. read more

Go to ANDERSON'S DELI. This place makes up whatever prices they want. Don't utter the word "inflation" to me. My coworkers warned me about their overpriced, chintzy egg sandwiches. I have to say that the rumors were true. I ordered a BLT and it came to 13+ dollars. Anderson's charged on $7. Let that settle in...almost double the price for the same sandwich. First time trying this place. Staff was friendly and it was very clean inside. I tried the the Grand Slam, one of the specialty chicken cutlet sandwiches, it has bacon, melted mozzarella, coleslaw, Russian dressing on garlic bread. Huge and delicious, enough for 2. I ordered a ham, swiss, lettuce, mayo on a roll for my Mom, super basic but one of her favorites. Unfortunately when she opened it at home they had forgotten the swiss cheese. So that was disappointing and not worth driving back to Smithtown from Huntington for a slice of cheese. Mom wasn't happy with her lunch. Woman was very nice. However, I felt I was overcharged and also thought it was odd that she put the cheese on my sandwich in the middle of the meat, not to mention they were skimpy with the cheese for an $11 sandwich. I purchased a Gatorade, small Coffee and Ham and Cheese on a Roll and ended up paying $17 without being offered a receipt for my card transaction. I don't mind paying a little extra to help the small business owners, but $17 for lunch is a bit excessive. Not to mention, their specialty sandwiches are 9.99 for a roll and she charged my $11 for a ham and cheese on a roll. I guess business was slow today. read more

The BEST breakfast sandwich I have ever had. I'm always a bit nervous because I'm a picky eater and had modifications to my sandwich, but they nailed it. I hate to give a negative review to a small business but in this case I believe it is warranted. I live in walking distance of Heritage Deli but have rarely been there. This week my kitchen was under construction so I decided to order lunch from Heritage. We have the menu somewhere but I jumped online for convenience. I called in by phone and ordered the Hot RB (hero) with Cheese and Onions. When I went to pick it up I was served by two very competent, pleasant, and friendly female workers. The problem? I was charged $17.50 for a lunch sandwich. I questioned that on the spot and was advised that the price had just gone up. The website was inaccurate apparently. The moral of the story?? Simple - $18 for a lunch sandwich in the boondocks of stripmall Long Island is an outrage. I hear the echo in the distance of social media responses citing "supply chain issues" "we are in line price wise with our competitors" and "our costs have risen exponentially!" No - it is greed and gross misalignment with reality. $18 for a basic deli sandwich on Long Island is an outrage. Was it special?? Not even that - it was bang average. Never again. read more

I've been here a bunch of times and i love it ! I really like the inside of the deli because it is modern and very clean. All the staff members are super friendly and helpful. I love ordering their breakfast sandwiches because everything taste super fresh and delicious. I also like the chicken salad BLT wrap because it is out of this world!! Honestly you guys really make a stingy sandwich and charge a hefty price tag for them. You literally give half the amount of meat that any other neighboring deli gives ... and are way more expensive! I have never had a better experience at a local deli. The owner took care of me and is one of the nicest guys I've come across in quite a while. I got the Christopher Wrap which was banging and a empanada. THE EMPANADA let me tell you was the best I have ever had. I go into queens all the time to get them, but there is no need any longer. I ordered hero platters of American, Italian, Vegetarian, and Grilled chicken. Also, a full tray of eggplant lasagna- all for a promotion party. Just superbly made. It was picked up at 9:30 and eaten by 2pm. From Smithtown to JFK, these federal employees were loving it. I was provided with sternos and a rack. Everyone loved each and every piece of the order. Okay so I was on the fence because I drove all the way there from Huntington carving a sandwich from the old deli that was there... I get there and it's this new place. DEVASTATED! But then I got some empanadas and a sandwich. The sandwich was an okay deli sandwich but the empanadas are great and the new owner seemed super nice.
