I mean the food is alright but every time I'm here I feel like I'm overcharged and quite honestly I'm not come back. I can't wrap my head for a BEC on an egg everything 1lb of chicken salad and a 99c arnie Palmer drink comes out to $27. This is the 3rd time I left feeling like I got robbed. Unfortunately I won't be coming back due to the prices. Growing up in centereach/selden there are cheaper and better bagels there that might be worth the drive. Edit: I just checked my bank account it was actually $29.10 read more

Smithtown Bagels - My $27 order.... - Bagels Near Me - Smithtown, New York

I have to out them. Big fan of flat bagels and gave one a try. It was simply an regular bagel that pounded down a bit before baking. Exact density as a regular bagel, just flattened out a little bit. The final insult was the price, $2.50 EACH. However super friendly and helpful people that work there, that's the other star. read more

My prior review was based on a few bad experiences under the prior ownership and the business has since changed ownership. As such my experiences with the business are much better. The bagels were always the best but in the past the orders were wrong, quality of take out orders poor and help behind the counter annoying. That has since changed and if you want the best bagels give this place a try. read more

Bagels are a bit of "a thingg" on strong island. Smithtown bagels is at the top. This place is tiiiiight. Bagels are often hot and staff will suggest whatever is freshest. Alot of Customers are greeted by name. They also sell newspapers which is clutch read more

I ordered an egg sandwich on a bagel and I got no cheese (paid for this) and I got it on a roll that literally looked like a hot dog bun. I am not one to complain but when I tell you I threw it away after a few bites it was that nasty. I couldn't believe what I was served. I work at the hospital down road and never will we order again here read more

If you are a New Yorker who wants to showcase the joy of New York Bagels to someone out of state then this is the place to take them. Hands down, these are the best bagels I have ever eaten living in New York for over 60 years. Every bagel I have eaten at Smithtown Bagels is a 10 out of 10. They are always so fresh that I think I hear angels singing in my head with every bite. Additionaly, everyone is so friendly here that I think this place might actually be Heaven sent. Don't pass up a chance to experience it yourself! read more

Smithtown Bagels - Oh my God this was sooooo good - Bagels Near Me - Smithtown, New York

Okay, so for anyone who reads my reviews you know cleanliness is the most important thing to me next to the quality of the food. This place is VERY clean!! The food is okay. I have hit this place up 2 Saturdays in a row for lunch and both times the food was okay. Honestly nothing to write home about. However, I'm not sure if the guy behind the counter is the owner, manager, worker, I don't really know. First time, really rude, didn't want to help me, gave me attitude, and made a mess of my sandwich. I'm pretty sure he over charged me as well. All the pricing for sandwiches reflects hero size sandwiches but he claims he ran out of hero's so he put it on a roll, but charged me the same price as a hero. He made the sandwich so sloppy I had to pull it apart and remake it. I also asked for mayo and mustard and he made it dry. Today the kid made my sandwich, nice kid, very friendly. He made a better sandwich for sure. The entire time I was there that same guy from last week kept giving me dirty looks. I mean REALLY dirty looks. Total stink eye. A woman with a kid came in to buy bagels and he was all thank you "Sweetie, Baby, Honey, and then looked at me like I should be dead. The entire experience was creepy and cringy, and made me feel uncomfortable enough to say I will not be going back. Going to let everyone in my office aware of this too. I'm sure this place is going to lose some business. I just don't get how you can be a business owner and treat people like that. read more

Always good bagels and sandwiches ... never disappoints. Friendly and there's always parking. Super convenient.

I go there every Tuesday with the child I care for after going to The Little Gym. I starting caring for him 3 months ago and he loves going to this bagel-deli every week. His Mom has been taking him as well before me and still goes sometimes. The food is excellent. The bagels are still fresh at 2 p.m and the yogurt parfait are wonderful. The staff gets along great which is a true sign of a great business! Andrea goes extremely out of her way with Jared, the child I watch ,treats him special gives him cookies and lots of attention! Freddy and Steve are very helpful and friendly as well as anyone with a child know you will need some special requests or take a bit longer ! I have also seen them with other customers as we do stay and eat and they are wonderful with everyone. Plenty of regulars ! Store is spotless as well ! Great job! read more

I visit Long Island frequently, from Florida, to visit family. My cousin lives in Smithtown and he introduced me to this location. Every time we go, the customer service is excellent. The family that works the counters, the mom n daughter are always friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. The bagels and selections they have offer a great variety and their bagels are excellent. They do not skimp on the cream cheese either. I always make sure to stop here at least once to get my bagel fix and sometimes to bring bagels home to Florida. If I had one minor critique, it is they put too much milk in coffee when I order it. However, this time, I remember that and asked for very little milk and they made it to perfection. That is good service! The atmosphere and efficient service they provide is worth mentioning because they get busy and occasionally have a long line. When this happens, everyone "jumps" on the counter to help the customers and they move them fast, but still with the great service they provide. I will definitely visit them again when I return 'home' to Long Island. read more

If you're looking for a tasty, fresh LI bagels, Smithtown Bagels is your place. The bagels are always soft, not stale; the store is clean, and the staff is masked up. Yeah.... This place has been here forever. I don't want to trash the neighborhood bagel store. The bagel itself wasn't too bad. Just waiting on line and looking around, the place is dirty. We just got egg sandwiches on bagels, which were made perfectly and tasted great. The salads all looked fresh as well. But what stood out was that the service - they were very friendly and appreciative. This place NEEDS a tip jar. Some of us still want to tip when we receive good service, and there wasn't one. Please put out a tip jar. read more

First time going here in years. I remember liking it but today I ordered 2 different types of bagels and a chocolate chip muffin. Everything was stale. It was only 11:30am when I went there so everything should have still been fresh. Went to Smithtown bagel for lunch with my wife. The man who helped us asked my wife what she wanted then walked away without asking my order. Wile putting her order together he kept walking away on his phone . Finally brought the order to the counter and started to ring it up. I said i would like to order something. I tried to to get your attention , but I guess you didn't hear me. He says to me very nasty" so than what do you want". Not wanting anything at this point , I just said A 1/2 pound of cream cheese. He didn't hear me so I repeated The order again , and he yelled back at me I heard you. Another customer next to me said wow. The man was obviously having a bad day. Bald head and goatee. Bad experience at Smithtown bagels. Not going to that place again read more

Most of the employees are nice ; except blonde older lady with nose ring , decided to fix the stapler instead of making my bagels , had me standing there waiting. Barely put any cream cheese on my bagel and when I asked for more she rolled her eyes and said there's extra extra cream cheese , so as I was leaving , she ran over to the other employees and told them about what happened laughing at me as I walked out the door , won't be returning here ever again, which is unfortunate because I have been going here with my family Since I was a kid . The cream cheese also tasted super funky read more
