I'm originally from NY but a Florida resident, anytime I come home I need a good deli sandwich. My brother recommended this place and it's amazing! I've gone here twice now, everyone is super friendly, and they have a great selection. Unfortunately I came in today too early for the chicken cutlets but I'm not mad because what I got was still delicious! They also have a great drink selection. First time trying this place. The menu sounded amazing so I decided to get a #1. It did take a very long time for the sandwich to be made, thankfully I wasn't in a rush. Stopped in on a whim today. Ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches. The gentleman that took our order was very nice and made them deliciously! My rating of 2 stars goes to the ball- of -sunshine -of- a -woman working there. She clearly is permanently unhappy and is willing to let everyone know through her poor customer service. The man began to ring up our order and she stepped in and began using the register which I thought was to ring us up. She says, "That'll be 14.07." I think to myself, wow great deal and take out a 20 and tell her that I have the 7 cents. She say, "No i was talking to someone else, you WISH yours was $14." Somewhat taken aback by this lack of tact, I say nothing and wait for my total to be given to me. After I pay, the man and woman openly discussed the mix up and she said to him that they didn't do anything to cause the mix up and that "They mess it up themselves." .... as in the customers. Filthy! Same pairs of gloves takes money, cleans counter, reaches into the sink, And finally makes your sandwich. Unless they are out of prosciutto, pesto, fresh bread. I wish we went elsewhere to eat. It was obviously an issue i was placing an order for multiple sandwiches, I was told half of the ingredients to sandwiches ordered were "out of stock". The deli itself is scary, dirty, and simply should not be a place where food is being made and sold. Every door in the deli was open, including the kitchen door, so there were tons of flies inside. The lady making our sandwiches did not change her gloves once, after handling cash and dirty dish towels. A horrific sight, especially at the price of these sandwiches. read more

Ninos Deli is a great place to go to... if you won the lotto :) ... went in there on a morning when I was rushing for the train. The server behind the counter was pleasant and listened to what I wanted to order and made it quickly and as ordered. It wasn't a complicated order to be honest - just a bagel with cream cheese. I also took a small cup and poured a small coffee. I had $5 bucks in my pocket so did'nt want to out do my budget. Alas a manager walked out from the kitchen and asked what I ordered and said that will be $6 bucks. In shock I asked..how much was the bagel ? $4 was the answer. ..and the coffee... $2 was the answer. So $ 6 was the total that was told to me...and shocked as I was...handed over credit card for payment. Then... sitting on the train. I look at the receipt again. It said $6.24.. they charged (and did not tell me! ) and extra 24 cents for 'Amin Fee'. Seriously ? Don't give me this inflation baloney....it was a 50 cent bagel and a 25 cent coffee and you fleeced me (as you probably do others every single day). Shame on Nino's Deli... shame. read more

Definitely our go to spot for specialty sandwiches. They have a great selection, and the staff is always very friendly. Sometimes it's a little bit of a wait but they are usually busy so it's not a bad thing...we've also ordered a few heroes that have come out great, trying out a tray of one of their hot items this weekend but I'm not worried. From sandwiches to hot food, we've never been disappointed. My favorite sandwich is the grilled chicken with pesto, fresh mozzarella and eggplant (I sub the fried eggplant for the grilled, because why not). They also have great chicken meatballs and sauce...full of flavor and not dry like some places. Worth checking out and getting some good food! read more

Have been going there for some time as they had good sandwiches. Made the mistake of using them for catering. Food was supposed to arrive at 11am. I called at 11:30 and they were still making it. "Sorry one of our guys didn't come in today, maybe you can pick it up instead". Keep in mind I have a house of hungry people and they want me to come get the food that wasn't even ready! Finally got to check out this place, and it didn't disappoint! The staff was helpful and friendly, and my boyfriend and I really enjoyed our heroes. I had the Giarderna with a side of Greek pasta salad and my boyfriend had the Bari and buffalo pasta salad, and all of it was delicious. I'm not sure about the negative reviews. It's weird that people will come on yelp to give bad reviews but rarely come on to give good reviews unless prompted. This place is my favorite deli. The roast beef is fantastic, as are all the specialty sandwiches. My favorites are the Fa Caldo, and the Chicken Parm with Pepperoni heroes, but everything is fantastic. read more

The absolutely worst potato salad I have ever eaten. Tasted like Lestoil and after I ate it I wondered if I was going to get majorly sick. Came as a "side" with the hero I purchased. No complaints about the sandwiches here. I've had the BLT and one of the chicken sandwiches. I forgot the name of it but it had chicken cutlets, eggplant, roasted pepper, and cheese. Not sure what happened but we ordered lunch for delivery from here a month ago and it was as of it was from a different deli. None of the orders were right, they didn't give sides like before, the bread wasn't good and all the food and ingredients were outright different. Underrated sandwich shop - unfortunate they're located on busy Main Street in Smithtown (parking in rear!). They have at least 50 sandwiches on the menu, so they'll have a sandwich for all taste buds. The guys behind the counter are quick, and the sandwiches are hearty - still not sure how they memorize everything. Waited a few minutes before someone helped us, noone was on line. The man that made our sandwich must've been the owner or owners son or something because he knew nothing. He took atleast 10 minutes to make 1 hero. They didn't have Avocado and didn't tell us until the end. They weren't going to give us a side or pickle until I mentioned it and even then acted like it was a nuisance. He put the macaroni in the bag and slide it to us and my husband said "so the pickle is in the bag?" and the man was just like no...do you want a pickle? Dude I just asked for one!
