I go to Panera from time to time in different areas and when I travel. It's not usually my go to but I started trying to eat healthier and they have a mediterranean chicken salad that I've been going back for several times. I'm also a fan of the frontega chicken sandwich. I had both on this visit and they were both done right and tasted good. This Panera here in Parrish is brand new ... so it's pretty clean and fresh. I like to order on the key pads up front rather than talk to the cashier. I actually think Panera is better as just a place to get coffee in the morning , bagel or pastry ... meet a friend or have a meeting. For lunch , it works ... but there's way better food and service out there elsewhere read more

One thing can be said about this location, they are consistent. Consistently slow and consistently out of menu items. At first I thought it was because they were new and just getting the hang of things but no, this is a regular occurrence. I have never gotten a requested order. Thankfully the second or third choice is good but you know that's not the same. It's wild! read more

If I could give a -5 stars I would. I ordered a plain bagel using the Panera app and when I went to the counter to pick my order up the associate behind the counter claimed that they could not find my order and asked me to repeat my order not once but several times! I explained to them that I placed the order on the Panera app and my name was on the order screen. Luckily, the manager looked my order up and gave me my order. I am not going to repeat my order when I place my order online. Panera Bread's associates need to learn better customer service especially when customers order online. We have ate in and ordered for pickup through the drive thru. While the service is slower than usual we understand they are new and still working out the bugs. Our food has been delicious each time. Chicken bacon ranch sandwiches grilled cheese, baked goods, etc.the restaurant has been clean and it is not noisy. Even the restrooms were clean and that is one of my biggest complaints for any restaurant. read more

So I've lived in other states. Washington is where I had the best experience with Panera Bread. I finally stopped going due to price and taste. but thought I'd try it again. It is still very expensive for what they serve and the food has gotten more and more PC. I had a whole "Southwest" Chicken Salad. The dressing tasted like sour cream mixed with a little dill, and I mean a little dill. And the better flavored drizzle was undetectable. There was maybe a tablespoon of corn, maybe a teaspoon of black beans and maybe a teaspoon of crushed tortilla chips strips. Again, with all the Romain, those items were barely detectable. It's called a Southwest Chicken Ranch. Not one piece of CHX was in there. Not one and it cost me $$12.69. So, I'm out - no more Panera for me. Ok, just talked with Fazed (sp) and Rosie the managers and they were concerned and offered to remake, I told them no I had to go. Then Offered me a gift card and a pastry which I accepted with the understanding that I will come back and try them again. Being from St. Louis I am biased. But this new location seems very sterile, cold and unwelcoming. It is set up for very little interaction with the customer. If that's your goal, just set it up for the door dash and Uber eats people only.We wanted to pay cash and a manager had to bring a drawer out at 6:15pm... I got the pic 2 french onion soup, it was cold,and tasted like tomato soup was in it, and the Greek salad was very soggy. And not just from the dressing. Only could eat half of each.My husband got the Chicken Caesar salad, it was ranch not the correct dressing and a chicken bacon half sandwich that had only 2 slices of chicken on it. We love the Panera Caeser dressing! He had to put chicken from the salad on the sandwich...the manager was nice, so was the gentleman that rang us up. Stopped at the Panera in Parrish today for lunch. Food was good so food not the issue. I probably will not return as I was not made to feel welcome. I was sitting in a booth and the booth on one side of me there were two middle aged white ladies and on the other side of me was a booth crammed with six white teens. So at some point Zack (looks like he could have been a mgr) stops by the table with the two ladies and asked if everything as okay, walks right past me and to the table with the teens and asks if everything was okay....Not even 5 mins later another employee Bethsaida goes to the teen table to check on them and doesn't say a word to me....A particular word comes to mind when I think of this situation but I will just say they do not treat all guests the same. I live in Ellenton and I was so happy to find out that Panera was opening in Parrish. That excitement was very short lived. I went to just get a bagel toasted. The first time it took them 27 minutes to give it to me. I gave them two other chances and the second time it took 25 minutes and the third almost 30 minutes. Than I gave them just one for chance and I decided to just get the bagel sliced, thinking that someone in the kitchen would just slice and give it to me. No, it took 10 minutes. If I hadn't paid for the bagel already, I would've just walked out. The other Panera's like the one at UTC, in the bagel area, they have a slicer and also the machine where they toast the bagels, so you're out of there in under 1 minute because the bagel orders doesn't go to the kitchen, the cashier slices and toasts it for you. but here, the order goes in the kitchen and it gets mixed in with orders for breakfast sandwiches, salads, soup and sandwiches. so you have people before you waiting for those things, so you have to wait for a long while for them to finally get your toasted bagel. I would like to meet the genius that came up with that stupid idea. Just now, I was in the mood for a bagel and as I was about to go out the door, I said to myself "why deal with the aggravation"? so I decided to stay home and had toast instead. If I'm ever in the mood for bagels, I'll just drive to UTC and get it there. It's a distance away but at least you're not aggravated. read more
