I receiver a menu in the mail and decided to give them a try. Used the QR code on the menu. File not found (404 error). Well, that's...disappointing. Found another QR code elsewhere on the menu. Same result. Hmph. Sought them out on the internet. The web site says "Three Ways - Dine in - Take out - Delivery", so I started an order. OK, until its time for payment. I have a coupon from the menu I received, but there's no way to use it. I could apparently enter a coupon code, but I don't have one - just the physical coupon in the menu. OK, one more try. I'll call them on the phone and order. Sorry sir, we don't accept delivery orders over the phone. Just UberEats or GrubHub. I hung up on them. I'm happy that so many people seem to enjoy the food, but I'm not willing to put any more effort into trying to get them to serve me. Wowzer, what a horrible experience. read more

Recently got take out from Marinas. We got cheesesteaks and chicken parm subs. The cheesesteaks are definitely delicious! Good size and tasty. May be worth paying a bit more to get extra cheese but overall, delicious! The chicken parm on the other hand really missed the mark. They use frozen chicken tenders cut up to make this. WHAT?! Why? Why are you not using a freshly breaded and cooked chicken cutlet?! Who wants to eat crumbles of chicken on a parm sandwich? It's just really bad. There is bro enough chicken, or sauce. It's bland and dry. I also had to put mine in the toaster oven at home because the bread is not toasted or crisp at all. I would never order this again. Went to Marinas Pizza at Lakewood Ranch and SR64 around 6:30 pm. While waiting for my order I looked out to the parking lot and was shocked at how filthy the windows are. This review is specifically about the Cheesesteaks. I used to love the idea that there was a somewhat local restaurant that made a really good Cheesesteak. I used to come here once every 2 months or so. For no reason in particular, I haven't been here in a while. I've now gotten 2 Cheesesteaks here in the last few months and they were a total letdown. I wish I could give a detailed reason for the dislike but all I can say is that the last two trips here, the Cheesesteaks were Blah. Not quite Bad, but definitely not Good. Boss lady wants to treat for dinner and is dropping off too. I say "two plain slices" she says "no, order a bigger dinner" so I review the menu and photos and reviews. But there's something important to me that I must understand for myself, I must be clear on and I must have embedded into the burned up memory banks that still remain functional. How's the sauce? Will I begin a relationship here? You can mask dirty dish towel sweat with sausage , peppers, anchovies and all else - and if I ever see Buffalo Chicken as a topping or anything green - I absolutely refuse to enter. Like Count Dracula being asked to enter St. Patrick's Cathedral - it ain't happening. Because when she kept pushing toppings like a guy on the corner late at night with many pockets - I said "no thank you, I don't take toppings" until I know the sauce that is. So I asked her to ask them for extra sauce and she's really smart but when it showed up there was no extra sauce and I knew the mere mentioned of this was embarrassing to her. But I can eat bread n sauce all day and everyday - so I gotta know the sauce. Average looking pie, (10 inch NY) it was familiar - flat in taste and size so I stacked two together like a sandwich and ate it like that.. Tomato sauce was the stuff from big cans, not Ronzoni and not Scalfani, something left of in-between. Cesar Salad wasn't Romaine, sardines on top not the mashed without the grated Parmesan cheese - it was a thinly sliced Fontana at best with bagged croutons that I hate and absolutely refuse to eat. read more

We tried this place for the first time yesterday and LOVED the veggie pizza!! I almost wasn't able to get a picture before we ate it all. The size of the larges are so big and the same price as Papa Johns ($21). It does cost a little extra to pay with a credit card vs cash. Today was my hubby's birthday and we wanted to try this restaurant for lunch. What a great decision that was. The food was the best we have had in a long time. We ordered fries with our beer and wine and they were absolutely amazing. Not greasy and the oil was so clean. Then Hubby had veal parmigiana and I had eggplant. We really enjoyed every bite. What a wonderful birthday lunch. The ambiance is more of a pizza parlor feel but clean as could be. The service was fantastic and we will be back for sure. My partner found this place here on Yelp, it had good reviews, so we gave it a shot. We ordered a few things. I had plans to use my leftovers for my lunch the next day. I ordered a yummy hot sausage sub, and he got the chicken parm entree. We always try each others dishes, so I can vouch for his food. The chicken was tender, and the pasta was spot on. Also, right away, I could tell they didn't nuke the chicken, before sending it out. Frankly, it is so disrespectful and insulting to a customer when a cook serves warmed up old food. I can't begin to tell you how many times, I have found this to be the case when I eat out. Out of curiosity, we also ordered a small cheese pizza and garlic knots as starters. Both of us come from different areas in NY, so trying a restaurant's pizza is sort of a litmus test for the quality of the overall menu. My tastebuds personally, are very picking when it comes to pizza and pasta sauces. I found both of theirs to be flavorful and balanced. We were VERY happy with everything! Right away we agreed we'd be back again! The service was good, our waitress never left us wanting for a thing. The restaurant was clean. The atmosphere was casual, and family friendly. The other customers seem to be enjoying their food and conversations, as well. Staying true to my intentions, I continued my experience the next day, twice. First, for my lunch, then later on, I had a couple slices of pizza after work before we headed out to a concert. I ventured to this location with my brother. I quickly scanned the menu and noticed a sandwich with a fantastic name. I then read the ingredients and knew it was right up my alley. First, the restaurant is very nicely decorated and maintained. The staff was excellent and very energetic. I placed my order and about 15 minutes later was delivered to our table. I must say it was EXCELLENT! The flavors were superb. My sandwich was essentially a cheesesteak with onion, green pepper, sausage, olives and banana peppers. I was only going to eat half of the sandwich , but you know how that goes. I went several days later and ordered the Italian sub and that equally was a gem. I can't say enough about this location. The onions chopped up and mixed nicely with the meat and cheese....and the bread....the bread was perfect.....nicely toasted....crunchy, soft, held the meat without getting soggy. Also ordered the italian. It was a good italiian, but the cheesesteak was the shining start. Ordered a slice of cheese and a slice of supreme. The cheese had loads of cheese, crispy, tasted good. Supreme held loads of toppings. Had a bit too much topping for my liking.....but you can not complain it lacked ingredients for the price. The individual slices were massive. Had a coke machine (yay coke not pepsi!). Overall....for a really large lunch of appetizer, two large subs, two super huge slices of pizza, and a soda came to 41. Not a bad price for the amount and quality. Will return for another cheesesteak for sure! read more

I concur with Marc C. If you're in the restaurant business, in any capacity, catching an attitude with someone who asks a question that perhaps you're not in the mood to answer is ridiculous and will likely cost you business as it has in this case. For the record, there are an infinite number of people from NY, NJ, and other states who have relocated to Florida and have been used to pizza shops that serve by the slice all day and all night. And it's not that Marina's or any other shop needs to adapt accordingly, but it's not strange for someone to be looking for "slices" in a pizza shop regardless of the time. I too have encountered a pizza shop that did not serve slices beyond a certain time and was quite surprised to find this is a regular practice in some pizza shops here. Though in that particular shop, the employee was polite and explanatory. That wasn't the case in Marina's. I guess it's too much work for those shops. I'm certain they make less business than the ones who are full service. And, in my opinion, people looking to enjoy NY style pizza, by the slice or otherwise, would be better served going to Michael Angelo's in Lakewood Ranch! read more

I was very disappointed with my pizzas tonight. We have been eating here every few months for the past 5 years and it was our favorite local pizza place. Ordered two pizzas tonight and the quality had noticeably decreased. The flavor was different and the crust wasn't good. The garlic knots had changed and seemed like they were cooked from being frozen. I don't know what has changed in the past few months since we last went, but I will not be going back.
