    Cheese pizza

I ordered cheese pizza on the phone. The takeout person was friendly and the pizza was delicious. It seemed like a friendly place to eat if you did choose to dine in. I think it's a good place to take a smaller group of people.

I had a great experience overall at Origin. They've got a great craft, beer selection, delicious appetizers, and the best wings that I've tasted so far in Sarasota. The place is a storefront and has some seating available outside, which starts creating a nice atmosphere before even entering. Inside, the place a good deal of personality. Kind of a small sports bar/pizzeria vibe. The staff is beyond friendly! Smiles and good energy with everyone we interacted with. The locals clearly love this place, which is a great sign. The meatballs appetizer is delicious. Tried the Warm Roasted Squash Salad, and while it's not what I'd gravitate towards, it was interesting to try. The wings were the best! Had their medium buffalo wings and man... their homemade buffalo sauce is unique and tasty! Will definitely come back for the wings. PS: if they offer you the PB&J craft beer... try it. Seriously. You'll be surprised how good it is. I took two to go .

Our family brought us to Origin, promoting their low-key atmosphere, quality craft pizzas, juicy wings, & variety of craft beers- the place was smaller inside, but very friendly ambiance- though they were short-staffed the waitress had a very up-beat attitude, pleasantly interacting with each diner, while managing a lot! We ordered a salad, the Mall pizza, the Sicilian pizza, & a variety of wings (buffalo, spicy honey, hot). The salad was quite large, loaded with lots of freshly cut veggies- it easily fed our entire table of four while still having leftovers The Mall (pineapple, bacon, cheese) was loaded w. fresh, hearty chunks of toppings, the Sicilian had a thick crunchy crust, smothered with melted cheese, & a creamy red sauce- the wings were just as juicy as promised- though the sauce wasn't as hot as I would have liked it-it did have a quality flavor profile. I opted out of beer because personal preference over disliking the tap list, but they did have a decent number of options. Overall, we enjoyed our experience- if we lived in the area I would frequent the location, trying the variety of the pizza options & supporting the friendly staff

A good decision I've been meaning to find this place for a few months and finally did today. What I found when I stopped in for lunch was an ordinary place, not very large, not fancy, but welcoming. There are maybe a dozen tables including a couple outside. They have a front room and a back area. Several TVs. My favorite pizzas are ones loaded with meat, and they have that, but I decided differently this time and picked their The Mall pizza. The Mall does have ham and bacon, but also pineapple and a spicy honey drizzle. This traditional hand tossed pizza was really very good. I didn't notice any spiciness with the honey drizzle, but I did like the sweetness of the honey with the savory of the meats. Pineapple gave it that tropical flavor. They offer a typical lunch special where you can get a pizza with one topping. I wanted one of their several specialty pizzas and the smallest was 12", so I am looking forward to having the slices I brought home tonight for dinner.

Best pizza and wings in Sarasota Florida. My office literally had a pole 2 weeks ago and Origin was the winner. This location is easily accessible if you live on the south /east side of town. Very chill environment, great for dine in or pick up. My kids love playing with the chalk board and they always have Calusa's Zote on tap!

The Mall. The hot honey really made this shine!

The best pizza we've had in a long time! We had The Mall - with hot honey. It was so good!

I ordered the Siesta Sands with Prosciutto via Uber Eats. Food arrived hot and it was delicious! Wood fired crust was just right. I am picky about pizza! Shared with my coworkers. Price was right and ingredients were plentiful. I look forward to trying another pie from them. Side note, they should post pictures of the restaurant. No idea what it looks like!

Pizza is delicious and I love the trifecta hot wings. No celery or carrots offered with the wings but they don't mind if you byo.

Not my style of pizza. I prefer thinner crust. They have other things on the menu but pizza was recommended so I had high expectations!

We added extra cheese and jalapeños to their meat lovers special and got the hot buffalo wings, both of which were so yummy!

I was seated facing a wall so I didn't get a good long look at my surroundings but between what I did see and looking at photos posted on Yelp the theme seems to be chickens. Our server was friendly and available to answer any questions as we spent time looking over the menu. I settled on The Hitman, a double patty smashed burger with American cheese, hen sauce, fried mozzarella, Nueske's bacon, with a side of garlic parm fries. It isn't listed on the online menu but there is a note the menu changes frequently so it may not match the day's offering. Let me start by saying that two of the people at my table got salads and were disappointed that there was too much lettuce and too little other stuff. With that out of the way, let me talk about The Hitman, which I loved. What is Nueske bacon? This is a special smoked flavorful bacon made by the Nueske family. Fork & Hen uses thick cut, and there were two slices on my burger. My burger towered so high there was no hope of picking it up, so I attacked it with knife and fork. Being made with Focaccia bread certainly added to the height, but so did a thick block of mozzzrella cheese. The cheese, melted on the inside and crispy on the outside, was substantial. I would be careful biting into a hot block of melted cheese, think pizza mouth. In my photo I broke into one corner to show that is cheese, so much cheese. The burger patty part topped with American cheese was by itself great, like you might find at a home cookout or Smashburgers. Other toppings were there but for me this was meat and a lot of cheese. And as much bread as you want. I loved my surprising good cheeseburger.

Our table ordered a couple of dishes: chicken and waffles, southern fried chicken, shrimp fried rice, and the hitman. The water tasted like it came straight from the water fountain outside the restaurant. Chicken was overly breaded and salty, and the corn cake was sour. I also don't know how they managed to dry out dark meat. The waffle was semi burnt. The shrimp "fried rice" was soggy, vinegary, almost sushi rice like texture, and shrimp was heavily salted. The hitman smashed burger... the hitman probably killed people with the insane amount of salt on the plate. See the theme? Lighten up on the salt unless you're trying to give your customers clogged arteries. Extremely disappointing considering all the great reviews we saw before going.

May 1, 2026 - two for dinner before a show at Florida Studio Theater…read more My first visit. An easy walk from the FST parking and the FST theater. Drinks very reasonable and decent volume/quantity/pour. A buck for my soda water with lemon..... a bargain for the driver and non-drinker! The boss got 10 wings, 1/2 parm cheese and 1/2 barbecue. The reputation is best wings in Sarasota??? She like flats only and we paid $1 for just flats. This was a very nice option as I the whole food plant based "spartan vegan" will usually cringe at leaving those drums behind or wasted??? I did try one of each though. I believe they are baked and then before serving deep fried to crisp them up and heat them. Sadly the barbecued ones where burnt (see picture) and a little too crisped. The meat and most of the wing and the flavor was pretty good. 5/10 The parm wings where actually the opposite and the meat and wing undercooked, but the deep fry dunking crisped up the skin which would have been really raw and rubbery. These were also seasoned nicely and tasty. 8/10 Both easily fantastic with attention to pre-cooking and cooking? I got the Cup o' Spuds (sweet potato) in a little basket. These were pretty deeply fried and a few blackened/burnt but were nice and hot and flavorful and couple burned gave it some character and was a big deal. The menu is very limited for whole food plant based, vegetarian, vegan, nutritarian mix and match or anything....... so went with one of the three salads. the Side Salad I got an entree size. Romaine, diced tomatoes, cucumbers and black olives and a balsamic. My server missed my point after the second ask about adding "protein". I would have LOVED to have seen some black, pinto, kidney, navy, garbanzo, or any kind of BEANS to add to this salad as a "PROTEIN" or a quinoa, or even scoop of rice or edamame or even a few chunks of toasted or grilled tofu!!!! The salad ingredients were fresh and a nice amount of each. Dressing good but I only used a little since I thought I had asked for Balsamic Vinegar (no oil) and this was a Balsamic "Dressing" with actually quite a bit of oil. Service by "Nightime Bar B" was very attentive and friendly. REALLY good! Fielded our myriad of questions and we were never wanting or waiting. We had a long discussion about the wings which is why my wife wanted to go here. Maybe I should have put this first.......but the pricing was EXTREMELY reasonable especially for Main Street and I guess technically IN Season? The drinks about $12 for a Cosmo, Tito and club $10 ? Tax, tags, tip at 20% plus and we got out under $70 for two!!! VERY nice! Good spot. We will be back!!! As we have just about completed the Mainstreet and City of Sarasota circuit these guys are in the "rotation" for a before cabaret or full production play at the FST.
