Great food service was spectacular and I feel like I was in little Italy super great atmosphere!

Last night's dinner was another fantastic experience, with the wonderful personality and attentiveness of our server Jenna. Service here has always been fantastic, but she was really outstanding, and the table next to our felt the same way, as it was their first time eating here and asked us our recommendations, etc. Got the picture of the white sangria and it was delicious. Light and fruity. The garlic knots were polished off in minutes, and the pizza was incredible, although I let my husband enjoy the leftovers for breakfast this morning!! Had a wonderful lunch today. Our server was Madison. She was friendly, competent and attentive. We ate outdoors and the weather was just right with a light breeze - a treat for late April. We started with mozzarella sticks and garlic knots. Be sure you like garlic if you get the knots. I had the meat lasagna and it was great - a large portion with lots of meat. My wife had a cheeseburger - cooked right - and fries and there was plenty to eat. Our friend had the 10 inch pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. Very tasty and cooked just right on a thin crust. Only one complaint - no Diet Coke was served, so my wife tried the Pepsi Zero. She did not care for it. read more

Recently checked this place out due to the "gluten free" signage. The staff are friendly and great at alerting the kitchen about food allergies. I usually do not like sitting indoors due to how loud it often is, but the sound level was really nice here, and it is easy to keep a conversation going at the table. The food is delicious too. I was delighted that they had a whole menu for gluten free options that are not just the typical salads that most places offer. I had their gluten free pizza, and was very pleased. Stopped by and had the lunch special of pizza, salad, and soda and it was excellent. My daughter had the gluten free pizza and gluten free cheesecake and liked it as well. I finally tried Ferraro's Italian Grill, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. You can tell right away when you're in a legit Italian restaurant--and the red sauce here seals the deal. I had the chicken Parmesan and the fettuccine Alfredo. The chicken parm was outstanding: generous portion, perfectly cooked, and smothered in rich, melty cheese (which I love). The red sauce had real depth and flavor--clearly made with care, not rushed or generic. The fettuccine Alfredo is my second measuring stick for Italian food, and this one delivered. Creamy, balanced, and full of flavor without being heavy. Both sauces were dialed in, which is not easy to pull off. This was my first visit, and I was honestly blown away. It feels like a family-owned place where people take pride in what they're serving. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Bottom line: you don't become a great Italian restaurant by accident, and this is one of the best I've been to. I'll definitely be back. read more

Attentive service and good, simple Italian food. Nothing really stood out to me but I would come back.

Wear an overcoat if eating at this place it's always very cold inside. On the good side the pasta sauces are great especially the Rigatoni Sinatra. However salads leave a lot to be desired. The Caesar is the toughest small parts of the Romain lettuce. Iceberg is in the other salad, very inexpensive. Then the small bread sticks, no butter, Cost cutting. Wine Chardonnay house at $22. Was good but no ice bucket. We will go back but it's not one of our favorites read more

Stopped at the Big Red Bus event and took advantage of the free personal pizza offered at this place. The pizza was decent and the choice of crust was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting a cheap, promotional-size serving but the pie was worth the blood-letting. What really impressed was the antipasto salad and the golden Italian dressing suggested by our server. An order of wings rounded out the order. What a great meal to supplement the NFL Divisional Playoff games. My only disappointment was having to ask for the drinks we ordered while we waited for the take-out order. I thought that should have been a given. Love Ferraro's! Ellenton locals favorite. Pizza and pasta options are all great. I would stay away from any pizza that doesn't have red sauce though. The CBR can feel like you're just eating cheese and bread. Alfedo pasta is great and so are the wings! After the hurricane when no one had power Ferraro's was feeding the community at full force. Never again! Ive had frozen pizza that cost less than 10.00 that taste better than this garbage! $25.00 it cost and I picked it up! No delivery fees on this bad boy! This is all in the cost of a two item large pie that was suppose to be well done, but instead it was soggy and as limp as an over cooked noodle and completely tasteless! How they manage to stay in business is something of a miracle. If you look it at pic it reminds you of the joke vomit you seen as a kid! Maybe their pasta and $7 beers keep them a float, but it can't be the pizza! But then again maybe the pizza is saving them as this is maybe, maybe, $2.50 at cost. Hot garbage! read more

While visiting family in Florida over the years, I've passed by Ferraro's quite a few times. Last week, I had the opportunity to stop in for dinner. It's always difficult being from NJ to rate Italian restaurants in other states, you don't want to be overly critical. At the table, 2 of us ordered hot sandwiches and 2 ordered chicken entrees. I had a chicken parmigiana sandwich which was ok at best. My father-in-law had a cheesesteak and thought it was good. The chicken entrees I'm told were ok. If I go back here, I think we'll try the pizza to see how that is. Service was ok, but it did take a while for someone to come to our table to acknowledge us. Prices reasonable. Parking easy. Plenty of TV's with sports on. read more

Atmosphere - Just OK. The restaurant is fairly small and the tables are close together, which makes for a noisy environment. Service - Good. Our server did not disappoint. Food - very good. I ordered the stuffed shells with a side of meatballs. The shells were delicious and the meatballs were very good. Overall Value - Very Good. The food was very good. First time customer and was happy we found a table on a Sunday afternoon. Our server was quick to take our drink order while we looked over the menu. Appetizers, salads, pizza, pasta, and sandwiches make a menu easy for me to choose, as I could eat something from every group. I settled on the gnocchi with marinara sauce, and shared an order of meatballs with my husband. My food arrived nice and hot, and looked good. The hosts usually are lackadaisical but the servers are very kind and attentive. The food isn't my personal favorite but it's of good quality, hot, comes out in good time, and the place is well kept with a nice ambiance. Would recommend the rice balls. read more

Love Ferrara's who did catering ( delivery by ez cater) for our family birthday party today. The food was so delicious, arrived hot, and on time. The presentation was perfect with entries cut up into perfect size pieces for serving a big crowd of 18 people. Highly recommend! What a blessing they are! read more

Service Our server Marissa was very sweet and was present during our time. Other servers often came by and checked on us for refills or to clear plates. Ambiance At 5:30 on a weekend, there were 2-3 tables open. The tables are pretty close together but nothing bothersome. The decor was quaint with unique Italian city scenes. Food Tried garden and cheese pizza. Thin but tasty. Apps were definitely yummy, jalapeño poppers were crisp in the outside and creamy inside. Rice balls were the same but a little bland for my personal taste. Fries were listed as claiming to be the best and man oh man, double frying was delish!! Here we go again, I don't like doing these type of reviews but i feel it's part of writing a review (the good and the bad). First I must say the hostess was nice and helpful getting us a seat outside during busy hours and our waitress was also a nice girl. The wait time for the food was a little lengthy. My guest ordered a Prosecco and it was unfortunately flat. We ordered a bowl of tomato soup which I thought they forgot, but it did finally arrive and I must say it was an interesting take on tomato soup, they actually but large chunks of raw tomatoes in a wine base tomato broth (not really eatable). We had the bolognese and baked rigatoni and my bolognese tasted quite odd, definitely not slow cooked if I was a guessing man. The baked rigatoni also had a strange taste but it was a touch better, but did not make the cut on a decent true Italian dish. Both pastas were also lacking in sauce, both somewhat dry. I'm a foodie, and this was our second try here, mind you I really wanted to like this place it has a cool northern feel, but unfortunately we will not be returning in the future. Tried this place out as we are newer to the area, and wasn't disappointed. It's a solid restaurant and would make for a great casual go to for those days you don't feel like cooking. The service was very good, not amazing but no real complaints at all. We ordered the appetizer of fried ravioli, which was good. I ordered the shrimp fra diavolo, it was good, sauce could have been more balanced as it was a tiny tiny bit sweet because of it being marinara, could have been a little more spicy to balance it out. The pasta came with garlic bread which could have been toasted a bit more and more garlicky. My BF got the cheesesteak which he said was pretty good. Overall it was a good experience read more
